Love this show
Eminem was playing at my son's 8th grade graduation. He'll always have timeless middle school bangers.
17:00 The answers are not 'no' and 'no', but 'yes', and 'yes'. It's from 'What's my name' to 'Without Me' to the one everyone seems to forget: 'Just lose it'.
no snack chat this week 🥺
Would highly reccomend FD signifiers video on White Rappers and specifically Eminem.
Me personally I'm not really a fan of FD signifiers, and his takes on rap and hip hop having to look a certain way and be a certain style is awful.
Don’t worry, you don’t need your middle finger to go down to wave
Is there something to be said for Drake's presence on Wah Gwan Delilah as a subliminal shot at, joke about, or some other form of commentary on Big Obvious Sample Rap? Like, honing in on the core purpose of that type of song (1. Trojan Horsing something new into something familiar; 2. the once-exciting friction between modern hip-hop and something either old or perceived as not at all hip-hop) and taking it to its least subtle, most heightened, silliest conclusion? I swear I'm not usually a Drake truther, but everyone seems so caught up in calling this stupid or having to defend it as a joke that I feel no one's reading what it's actually doing outside of that context.
Great conversation. I personally love how jay z is protecting his legacy.
"Everything hes done after the first 3 album is demonstrably worse" false, spoken like people who havent even tried to listen to anything hes done. Are all his albums classics or perfect, no, but there are some great fuckin albums in there
you guys this is super disappointing. you're missing the mark...I think it's one of the best songs he's ever done! it's fun it's what he does, he's the best to ever live and word play, I cannot get this song out of my head and my four year old is walking around singing it. is it in your head too?! wtf. let him just live his best life. the Detroit concert was once in a lifetime. how lucky are we to be around while he makes magic for us come on...I am so confused by your marks on this. GRIPPY?!!?! you want Eminem to make a GRIPPY?! do you even know Eminem?!?!?!? what is happening in 2024 that is exactly what SLIM SHADY IS SAYING.
I think the new Eminem song is terrible, feels dated, formulaic and desperate.
I think that you guys are overly critical and/or long winding, especially Jon Caramanica.
these guys love drake
Yall missing the bigger pic. Bye.
These fools are soooo lame and soooooo glazed up for Drizzy it’s just pathetic, to the point of journalistic malpractice. I wish they were more serious and credible like the NYT “Hard Fork” guys. loool….
