I'm inclined to believe that the Kennedy Center wouldn't allow lip synching, but I'd also assume that lip synching wouldn't be allowed at a Presidential Inauguration or the Grammys. And I can't think of any other explanation for what happens at 0:08, when we can hear her 'singing' before her microphone is raised.
It is simply the video that is not working properly that did that. At the Inauguration she was not lip synching but singing WITH a pre-recorded track that did the big vocals while she did the part that didnt require the high notes. It was freezing and it was outside so she did that to protect her voice. Everyone knows that Beyonce can sing.
That was the same with Elvis he always wanted to do the song over & over again. The thing about Barbara is she could hear the slightest miss even in a orchestra & could point it out.
gfdsaasdfg1 The video is badly edited so the first part is out of sync. There's no way this is lip synced. There are certain places were lip syncing is not allowed, and this ia one of them.
Seriously can we stop the hating God bless this incredible talented and beautfil women. She did an excellent job on this song she didnt struggle woth any note. People forgot she was trained by the great Kim Burell beyonce has so much control and the way she flowed between the notes. This was a great rendention of this song. Barbara told beyonce ahe did a beautiful job and sounded amazing singing this song. If you cant say anything positive dont talk at all. My God so much negativity and dislike towards this women who is clearly on the top of the world and calling her own shots. We still haven't heard the best of her vocals because she has a range that is spectacular.
I love Barbra Streisend!! She's one of my favorite singers ever!! Beyonce is doing a great job singing this song!! She sings great!! Wow!! I love this song!! It reminds me so much of the movie, The Way We Were. It's a great movie!! Robert Redford is so cute in this movie!! 💖
Beyoncé has an extraordinary voice. With its powerful and versatile timbre, she manages to convey a wide range of emotions and musical styles. Her vocal talent and impeccable technique make her one of the most remarkable artists of her generation. Each of her performances is a showcase of mastery and passion, bringing joy and inspiration to listeners around the world.
I am no big fan of Beyonce, but she absolutely nailed this performance! Not many people can do justice to a Barbra Streisand song, but Beyonce sounds awesome. She stuck close to the original song, but sung it as though it had been written just for her. This is clearly one of her best performances. Great job Beyonce.
This is one of those moments that make you remember that the torch has to pass at some point in time. There will always be greats, in every decade, but time forgives nobody. Barbra will always be great and now Beyonce is showing she is joining that group. She was absolutely incredible
I don’t care for Beyoncé’s typical musical style, but love to listen to her when she slows it down. She has a gorgeous voice. Same with Lady Gaga. I love her album from A Star is Born where her true vocal talent shines
Yep. I knew Beyoncé could SING sing, but I didn’t know about Lady Gaga until I heard her sing songs from The Sound of Music. She left me speechless. She has an incredible voice.
I wish more non-Beyoncé fans shared the same sentiment! Like many other singers, there’s no harm to acknowledge your disliking towards their style in music but to discredit their talent as a vocalist would be a self deception.
No, she doesn't. She has a good voice, with solid skills, but not exceptional....I get you love her, but 100,000s of people could sing as well as her if they put the time in... not in the same class as some of the true greats.
Find it weird that Everything that comes after Beyoncé always has to be a back handed compliment. It can never be "she did a great job talented", always "she sounds good but no ____ enter opinion here". It's like damn just give a compliment or don't.
+KINGGG People's taste will always differ. While you may think she is the greatest, some may not.. My favorite singers are Mariah, Whitney and Celine yet many people told me how they can't stand their voice.
Memories Light the corners of my mind Misty watercolor memories Of the way we were Scattered pictures Of the smiles we left behind Smiles we gave to one another For the way we were Can it be that it was all so simple then? Or has time re-written every line? If we had the chance to do it all again Tell me, would we? Could we? Memories May be beautiful and yet What's too painful to remember We simply to choose to forget So it's the laughter We will remember Whenever we remember The way we were The way we were

Beyonce has a lot of talent, she is a perfumer and professional. She did a really good job😊
I think you mean performer
I love that Barbra is looking at Beyonce as if she's the wizened vocal mentor appraising her student's recital hahaha
That was the same with Elvis he always wanted to do the song over & over again. The thing about Barbara is she could hear the slightest miss even in a orchestra & could point it out.
+Cee Sims I agree, both are so prefectionists.
gfdsaasdfg1 The video is badly edited so the first part is out of sync. There's no way this is lip synced. There are certain places were lip syncing is not allowed, and this ia one of them.
Absolutely lip synced
Luralene Tapahe explain yourself.
Wonderful preformance. The world got to see Beyonce's talent.
The best of the night. Much props to Beyonce for this rendition of this Barbra classic.
Sorry...her voice is oké....but never ever beats streisand
First time hearing her rendition. Beyonce has such talent, vocally and such presence.
What an elegant performance from one queen to another 🥰
Barbra Streisand, one of the original Divas... Beyonce looked and sounded beautiful!
She took the song and did it not only with a lot of class and respect but with the most important thing this song needs: TALENT.
BRAVO BEYONCÉ!
Beyonce, you sang this so beautifully, I'll bet Barbra was impressed! You just showed me how deep your talent runs!! Excellent rendition!
She did that song justice. She’s just very talented singer
Bey did Barbara proud ! Well sung !Beautiful just beautiful !
This is one of those moments that make you remember that the torch has to pass at some point in time. There will always be greats, in every decade, but time forgives nobody. Barbra will always be great and now Beyonce is showing she is joining that group. She was absolutely incredible
Ricardo H agreed
So wonderful to see Beyoncé since a song without all the frills! Such a beautiful pure voice 👍🏻
I don’t care for Beyoncé’s typical musical style, but love to listen to her when she slows it down. She has a gorgeous voice. Same with Lady Gaga. I love her album from A Star is Born where her true vocal talent shines
I know. I never knew Gaga could really sing until I saw her on some interview show where it was just her singing with her piano.
Bey was great! I'd be terrified to sing in front of Barbra considering that she is one of the greatest vocalists!
Rafa Medina They both are.
and the other greatest vocalist sang for her
Juan, Bey is one of the most popular singers of all time, but no one who knows music would ever confuse her with a great vocalist.
MrZola1234 you are the one who doesn't know music. beyonce has one of the best vocal techniques ever
It's like damn just give a compliment or don't.
right!!
+KINGGG People's taste will always differ. While you may think she is the greatest, some may not.. My favorite singers are Mariah, Whitney and Celine yet many people told me how they can't stand their voice.
+Cassandra Muzik Stop smoking crack. Beyonslay is the best. If you look to the right you will see some seats, have several of them.😳😳😳
Jonathan whitley Looks like you are the one on crack, Beyhive...Grow up and respect other's preferences.
+Cassandra Muzik "looks like you are the one on crack" blah blah blah. Bitch stfu and sit your dumbass down.
Memories
Light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we?
Could we?
Memories
May be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply to choose to forget
So it's the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember
The way we were
The way we were
Thanks for the lyrics.
chills everytime I watch this video 😍 Beyoncé sound so angelic
got goosebumps when she said the first line. Definitely a great rendition of a classic powerhouse ballad.
One of the best performances i have ever seen. Chill chills chills
It's just lip sync show 0:08, what is so great about it? 😐
@@ScoobyDoo-bx8vrit’s not. In fact she sang it twice bc she knew she could do it better. All documented, hater 😂
I love it when Beyonce sings ballads!
She nails them. Check these ballads by Beyonce out:
Save the hero.
Scared of lonely
Hello
Statellite
Smash into you
Resentment
Dreaming
Next ex
New shoes
Forever to bleed
Road stop sign
Sandcastles
Plastic off the sofa
All night
Rather die young
Die with you
Her humility is what made this performance one of her greatest. She's got class and breeding.
She is garbage. This is 16 years ago when she pretended
To speak of “breeding” regarding a Black human is offensive and racist.
@@jujub6839 in 2024 the air you people breathe IS RACIST
this song always ALWAYS makes me cry
Absolutely Flawless Beyonce did such an amazing job performing a Classic by Barbara
Beyoncé has done such stellar tributes to music legends like Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, MJ and Prince. These are the artists that have inspired her growing up so I get why she made sure the performances were top notch.
And Etta James 🥰
Beautiful....I love that she did her own cover of the song and how gracious she was to Barbra Streisand at the end.
She knocked it out the park! Tour de force performance!
Beyonce you are a class act!! You are so gracious and you sung her song so beautifully! I love that you kept it like the original and didn't add any runs to it, you absolutely nailed it! When you told Ms. Streisand that it was an honor to sing for her, I'm sure she was thinking that it was an honor for her that you sang her song! Kudos to you Beyonce it was perfection!!
0:04 omg that excitement on her face is priceless.. so down to earth. Love her ❤
Now that is class. Of course Beyonce was the one to do it and obviously Barbra loved it. Total gold.
That's actually beautiful, here you can really here emotion, and I love this particular facet of Beyoncés voice, similar to her speaking voice, a super smooth, soothing, calm one, it sounds so honest. She is the best vocalist in pop music we have
Oliver Crinis 1+1 is one of my favorite vocal moments by her
Very very beautiful. Beys technique is exquisite
Brilliant absolutely brilliant..Best cover I have ever heard and it looks like Barbara enjoyed it.
The restraint! The respect! Just wow.!
the pitch quality of her voice is flawless, and she is pure class, always utter professionalism and total respect for other artists -
Barbara is thinking, "Damn, she sang that song!" One awesome singer appreciating another! Love them both!
barbra made her do it over.
Actually Beyonce asked if she could do it over once more herself.. Barbara said this in an Aussie interview. Also clearly Barbara was quite pleased with Beyonce's end product. Stop hating & get a life 🙄
I was never too crazy about Streisand's version of this song, but after hearing this incredible rendition from Beyoncé I was completely blown away and moved to tears. That was fantastic! Thanks for posting this beautiful performance of this classic song.
Just beautiful performance 😍 when she said an honour to sing for you Miss Streisand ❤️ shows class, respect, an absolute joy to watch and listen, thank you 😊
Beauty, talent and class. OK we can all go home now Beyonce wins!
this girl is a beast one of the greatest singers ever
I've just being shocked she killed this wat a beautiful version
Pure class! Oh, Beyoncé is just wonderful and that’s one of the prettiest songs ever written.
