I'm okay with Saleh. He gave us a great defense. In the end the coach can only do so much, he's not playing on the field
And if he had a QB those 3 years, the narrative around him would likely look much different

The great defense came from Joe Douglas's drafting and Jeff Ulbrich's defensive gameplans. I don't hate Saleh but it's very likely the great Jets D has almost nothing to do with him.

Will the Jets finally make the playoffs? Remember Rodgers struggled his final yr in GB missing the playoffs. Is old coming off a serious injury so will he be able to rebound.

I think the difference is Rodgers will be extremely motivated in 2024 however i have them losing a close one to Detroit.

The mistakes the jets team/owner makes is one thing, but look at it this way. If you have never watched football in your life and I told you the jets got a head coach (rob) who has never been a head coach in the nfl, a oc (Mike LaFleur) who has never had that position, a rookie qb (zack wilson) who has never played in the NFL (with limited college experience) ontop of all the new players/coaches in other positions and we fans expected them to make the playoffs, possibly superbowl? Do you not hear how crazy that sounds? The jets are where they are supposed to be given where they started when Rob got hired. Point blank. They have gotten better where they could along the way.
Best thing Salah said in that interview was that when he came in he was putting too much focus on the message and now he realizes it’s more about the actual coaching! There is such a limited amount of time to get an NFL team ready for the regular season, you have to coach them as much as possible to game day. The great speech is nice, and there’s a time for that, but 90% of the job should be coaching, coaching and more coaching, from a high level and a granular level.
With this roster, if it stays healthy, he can do tremendous things this year.
On a personal level I really wanna see Robert saleh be successful. He’s is a great guy

If he plays there is no way he isn’t gonna give effort because he’ll be benched and he’s playing for a contract whether it’s with the Jets or another team so he’ll give 100% effort.

The biggest mistake Saleh made was allow Hackett to hack it. He should have been fired up every week until the offensive coordinator either knows what he’s doing or I’ll take over and get rid of this guy Hackett
I would rather have a coach like Saleh to learn and develop into a legend than any of the most recent flop HCs we have had after Rex Ryan…People act like he should’ve came in and gotten to the SB year one with a QB and offensive situation that was hot trash 😂
I like Robert Sala, but let’s be honest. He’s very limited. To me he is basically Herm Edwards 2.0 whereas Herm had a very good veteran laden roster, Robert Sala has had to build a new team. I would think he’s probably in that 28-30 rated Coach. 32. Absolutely has to go to Dennis Allen.
Any other coach who has won 17 games in 3 years would have been gone he is a good DC not a good HC Saleh does not handle adversity well he freezes like a deer in the headlights when things go off his script every coach deals with injuries they find ways thats where his failure as a HC is more than obvious

Umm, he has proven his absolute lack of coaching acumen by: win/loss record, lack of in game adjustments, mishandling of personnel, lack of accountability for the offensive side of the ball, etc etc. To say otherwise is absolutely moronic.
