I bought a SB1.6HFSB and I had to send it back because of severe frets sprout and oxidation on the action screws of the saddles, I had another one sent to me and there was also oxidation making impossible to adjust the action and the switch was non working properly so I gave up. I'm very sad about it because it was such a beautiful guitar.... at the end I bought a LTD EC1000
Oh man too bad that you received such lemons ! I don't understand how there can be oxydation on the screws on a brand new guitar. Maybe in time you'll try again and finally get a good one eventhough the EC-1000 is a very good axe too !
Great demo song man. Nice guitars, though I'm glad they're made in gloss finishes now, too. I find matte finishes very plain nowadays. The pickups sound great in my opinion. Excellent review as usual, my friend.
ça fait plaisir de te voir de retour! J'espère que tu t'es bien remis, la compo est vraiment chouette en tout cas. Je suis moi même l'heureux possesseur de 2 solar une 6 cordes orange et une 7 cordes blanche du meme modèle que la tienne. Ce sont devenu mes guitares préférées, la prise en mains est facile et agréable si bien qu'a chaque fois que je joue sur une autre guitare quelque temps j'ai l'impression de mieux jouer quand je retourne sur mes solars. Le manche est ni trop fin ni trop épais. Concernant les micros ça peut surprendre dans un premier temps quand on est habitué à des micros à très haut gains du style black winter ou nazgul mais sur un ampli à gros gain ou avec la pédale de son adéquate avec les bons réglages on obtient quand même un son puissant sauf qu'il reste très "clair" on entend toutes les notes c'est vraiment plaisant. On peut aussi allez dans des registres plus tranquille comme du hard rock. Pour ceux qui on peur qu'ils ne soient pas assez puissant il y a des solars avec des micros à plus haut niveau de sorties mais je n'ai jamais testé je ne sais pas ce que ça vaut. la finition est assez bien faite je trouve certaines choses mieux faite que les guitares ltd ec 1OOO que j'ai pu avoir, à savoir l'entrée de la prise jack qui a tendance à se dévisser sur les ltd pour parfois au final faire péter la soudure alors que sur les solars qui sont moins chères ça ne bouge pas. ça a peut etre l'air d'un détail comme ça mais c'est rédhibitoire sur une gratte à presque 1000 balles. Pour finir oui je ne comprends pas l'écart de prix entre le site officiel et Thomann sachant qu'il y a 1 ou 2 ans elles étaient encore moins chères , je crois que ta guitare tu l'aurais payé 699euros sur thomann mais bon tout augmente 😒 Bonne continuation 😀

J'ai été surpris de cet écart de prix entre Thotho et Solar. Je suis la marque Solar depuis un moment (je bave dessus depuis un moment, devrais-je dire :) ) et je ne m'étais pas aperçu de cette différence avant. Sur le fintion, tu as raison, elle est impeccable, ça vaut largement les LTD series 1000. Je vais attendre les prochaines promos sur Solar ou Thotho et essayer de m'en offrir une seconde, probablement en fin d'année. En attendant, vivement vendredi que je la récupère chez mon luthier ! Merci pour ta fidélité et à bientôt :)
This one has already got 2 different shades, one for the body and one for the neck. But I would accept more red guitars to have different shades :) Thanks Maggie !
That's a hard question cos' both are great ! I don't know if one is better than the other cos it depends upon everyone's preferences. The solar has a C shape neck, 19 to 21 mm thick and a 43mm nut. The Hellraiser also has a C shape neck, 20 to 22 mm thick and a 42mm nut. The bridge is hipshot style on the solar and traditional Tune O Matic on the Hellraiser, so your righ hand will be a bit higher on the hellraiser. I think there's no bad choice between these 2 :)

I wanna try again cos' it's a very long time since I have not played a 26.5, and back then, it was my first 7 strings. I see that the AB 2.7 has 25.5" scale so if I review a 7 strings solar, I might go there.

Salut, alors sur les potards est inscrit "MADE IN KOREA JIN SUNG". J'imagine que Jin Sung est la marque, mais je ne suis pas du tout expert en potards. Ce que je peux dire c'est que le grip est bon, la progressivité satisfaisante et ça ne crachote pas. Pour le poids, la mienne fait 3.3 kgs mais comme d'hab, d'une guitare à une autre, il y aura forcément des variations.
The only Jackson I have tried is a 269€ JS 22-7 and it canot be compare to this Solar. As far as he neck shape goes, this Solar is pretty close to what Ibanez is doing, so a modern C, not very thick and super nice to play. Jackson will come with a super flat U shape neck. Matter of preference :)
how's the playability of this guitar?? How's the neck?? Is the neck thin?? Is it similar to the Ibanez RG or S Series?? Or is it similar to the ESP Ltd neck?? Please Let me know.. I am interested in buying this guitar.. :)
The playability is amazing, probably the best player I have at home. The neck is very very close to the Ibanez Wizard III. Same thickness (19-21 mm), modern C shape with a tiny bit less shoulders. You need to play them side by side to realize the difference. The ESP LTD neck, in comparison, is thicker (20-22mm) and much wider on the shoulders (especially if you have a glossy finish). Hope it helps :)
@@joelmenezes1797 I do prefer the solar but the Ibanez I have is a RGA 42, so not the top of the line. The levelling of the frets is less good on the Ibanez so I can't set tha action as low as on the solar. The Wizard III neck is a tiny bit less comfortable for me than the Solar neck, but really a hair less comfortable. But all those things put together make me prefer the playability of the Solar. It's really my best guitar on this chapter.
