I love how you don't beat around the bush Mr. Bazzelget. You just give the information accurately and also make it very easy to understand, but don't get boring and long winded. You're one of my very favorite instructors I watch. Thank you! Hope you have a very merry Christmas.
Hi Adam- what is your opinion on hitting irons off of standard driving range "mats"? Ideally I would practice on real grass but that isn't possible where I live. The mats are very stiff and I feel that they could that lead to injury/bad for the clubs? Thanks!
Dylan, It's less than ideal. The clubs will be fine, and it's still good practice, but you'll just have to monitor soreness in your wrists/elbows. Perhaps off a low tee at times? All the best, Adam
Adam great tip I have a real problem with starting the downswing with my body. I am more of an arms swinger I can drop it in the slot but for me it’s an arms and hands move. My brain has a real problem with moving the body first. Maybe this will help. Thanks
Could you tell me , aee the hips the catalyst the shifts the weight or the feet . I'm losing my backswing and weight shift and cannot understand the culprit
The most important concept in golf is that to shift your weight you must start it before the end of the backswing. If you wait till then and start the weight shift on the downswing the momentum of the clubhead initally moving away from the. target. will block the weight transfer.
Shouldn’t have to actively think that though. If you get that weight back to the trail leg, it should naturally begin forward has the hands are reaching its peak in the back
@@williamreichert4798 for sure lol I mean more so when people overthink , if they try to simplify the swing and not crush it, seems easier for the weight to naturally go through. For me, trying to crush it makes me sit back and cast the club
Thomas, Sorry, but I don't know. I'd go to a club shop with LagShot and look at the grips they offer. I'm glad you are enjoying the LagShot All the best, Adam
When I hit my driver loose and smooth I hit it the same distance as when I'm really trying to bomb it with all my strength and power, although I hit both good on the clubface, any tips? Great video by the way I'm really liking that drill :)
Hi Adam, I’d like to sign up to your drop 5 strokes course but can’t seem to do that without getting premium membership. It’s that stripped down simple course I’m after, the premium content looks too dense for me. Hope you can guide me , thanks.
Martyn, If you Google Scratch Golf Academy Drop 5 course you'll see links to the part of our website where you can order it. Thanks very much, and I hope you'll like it. All the best, Adam
Sliding too far toward target is a real problem. Stressing turning hips during downswing creates pain in lower back and hips.. This drill-not so bad. Besides step drill, would you recommend any others to stress turn more than slide?
Peter, Sliding the hips too much is usually associated with an in to out path. If that's the case see if trying to change your path also changes the way your hips work. Best, Adam
@@Scratchgolfacademy so for an SGA member with a lag shot seven iron, is getting the feeling of rotating the left forearm on the way down and the club head passing the hands going to help like I think it should?
Hard to say without seeing your swing, but in general the LagShot fosters good impact habits. You should rotate the face (left hand/arm) but no necessarily have the club passing your hands at contact. Best, Adam
Adam - very good drill and thank you!! I notice you "flair" both of your feet out. For me being a senior I get a longer, fuller rotation on my backswing and also on my follow-through. As we get older our rotation and power decrease. Maybe a video on this to get the greater extension for those of us, unlike Justin Thomas and DJ. Excellent as usual monsieur!!
Adam is the best and he is my coach. I have gotten better and i shoot in the high eighties and low eighties and have only been golfing 7 months. Adam check out my books at WWW.rescuingtheunsaved.com

A great drill Adam. I love the lag shot club too. I always hit a few shots off a mat at home with it before going to the range or the course.

Sorry, it’s hard to comment without seeing your swing. Try some slow motion swings, see what you feel

Hi Adam, great drill, but why not just keep the weight on your front foot throughout the entire swing (provided good rotation both ways)?
Thanks,
Matt
Matt, it would cost you power. We do that when chopping, it is simpler, but in that case we don’t need power
Great video as usual Adam , happy holidays to you , keep up the good work 👍⛳️🏌️♀️
Thanks very much.

What grip do they have on the lagshot irons? I would like to regrip all my irons with this grip as I hit the lagshot seven iron so well.

It looks to me that Tiger has about 70% of his weight on the LEFT leg at the top of his back swing. (1:12)
