I'm still waiting for Sly Cooper and Jak and Daxter to come back but unfortunately Sucker Punch is too busy with Ghost Of Tsushima to cater for Sly and Naughty Dog is more focused on cinematic realistic games to be anywhere near Jak and Daxter which bothers me alot since games they made nowadays are more like movies and shows than games themselves

So... I bought a PS5 mainly so I could play the PS4 backlog I has missed out on and have a seamless experience, plus it allowed me to get RE Village with the limited ray tracing... 'limited' being the key word. I mean, it's nice... But, it's absolutely the most trivial addition possible.
Capcom is killing it right now so I don't blame you on that front. As a huge fan of Dragon's Dogma that is one new game I will be playing! Still, the PS4 library is pretty lame and I've had the most fun with remasters of PS3 titles like Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition. Can't deny God Of War is extremely good though as much as I complain about it in this video.

I disagree. I have issues with Sony that are honestly industry wide (mainly in regards to price hiking and licensing games) However, as mainly a PC gamer, I still own a Playstation because the exclusives it has are really solid in comparison to Xbox (I can play most Xbox exclusives on PC anyways)
@@TheRetroPerspective Both the Xbox Series X and PS5 do things that were not possible last generation. Between ray tracing, SSDs, and overall better hardware, games look better, and perform better. Exclusives on both sides have done a good job showcasing the new hardware as well.

Sony didn't cheap out in the manufacturing process. They didn't even make the defective component. They were screwed themselves. Also most modern entertainment devices have some form of DRM or HDMI encryption. That's common place and it should be expected for the very reasons you stated yourself. As for putting too much focus on gimmicks, they were far from the only ones and I believe they're nothing more than a product of their time. I'm not seeing too many other "gimmicks" so I'm not quite following there. How does this "Ruin Gaming"?
The PS3 is the only console that has this function. It shouldn’t be expected for the reason I stated because that reason is nonsense. More gimmicks include the ps4 touch pad, speaker, light and share button which are utterly useless and make the controller needlessly expensive and quickly drain the battery. Then there’s the ps5 haptic feedback which will probably go the same way as the sixaxis. Gaming still confirmed to be ruined. If only Like a Dragon games could all just be on PS3. =(
I fail to see how MS has directly damaged anything in the gaming industry. If anything they have shortened the gap between console players and PC players, has revolutionary systems like play anywhere so if you own (certain) games on either platform, you can play it on the other. They also are the ones responsible for pushing crossplay. So....What are your reasons?

WRONG! I want to watch movies on UMDs. I do agree that during the ps3 era sonys arrogance really hampered their efforts but i think they've done a lot to course correct. A big part of the p5 developemnt was working with developers to figure out how to make games easier to design for them and to reduce development time. Its one of the reason why now consoles gaming is much more consistent than newer pc games. While it still sucks that we've had to pay the price of their mistakes having ps3 and vita games trapt on those systems I still think of the big 3 their doing the most good. Like sure naughty dog has only done the last of us for the last 10 years but in most cases sony is open enough to let their devs cook. Like the famous story of yoshida playing and hating demon souls then seeing it was a huge success so when god of war 2018 was in developement ebven though he hated it he knew well enough to give it a chance and it was a huge commerical success. Still I do miss the innovation and playfulness of the ps1 ps2 era

Sony stopped innovating in terms of games after ps3. Everything was a movie packaged as a game after last of us. Except for ghost of tsushima.

I've always said PS exclusives are better, however, the PS5 doesn't do anything that the PS4 couldn't do in terms of Sony games.
