After watching this, I tried using an external Overdrive pedal and a Strymon Big Sky which sound fuller and richer better than Kempers onboard effects. It’s unlocked the potential of my Kemper. Thanks for posting this great video.
I want to do a hybrid pedal board with my kemper stage. So I want to use my external overdrive pedals and use the delay and reverb only on my kemper. Could I do that? I want to do that because I think the kemper delays and reverbs sound just as good as the external delay and reverbs. I rather just save space on having my kemper stage on my pedal board with a couple of overdrive pedals. Is that possible? And how would I run the signal chain for that? Do I just connect all my drives and have the kemper profiler stage last?
Hi John, yes you can. You can do it in both way: sending the guitar to the drive pedals or using the kemper stage loops. If you use the Kemper loop basically you can switch on and off the pedals just with the kemper foot switches like any other kemper effect. Actually in the video I'm connecting my OCD overdrive to the Kemper loop, with great results in my opinion. Thank you for your question!!
Ciao, grazie Damiano, i tuoi complimenti mi fanno veramente piacere.
Hello i’m trying to use externalisé effect with kemper stage but i don’t manage… could you help? Thé jack coming from the send 1 of the kemper must go to the in OR the out of the pedal? Thanks
Hi, I recently built a Kemper rig that profiles my amplifiers on clean/breakup setting and adds all modulation/wet effects. I create all overdrives effects through ToneX via distortion loop. This sounds really great. However, I encountered a problem: sometimes (not always) when turning on the drive on Tonex, there is a loud shot lasting a fraction of a second. I don't know what the issue could be or how I could fix this problem. The sound itself when playing is really great, but that shot is something that really bothers me when playing live. I will be grateful for any help. Thanks!
Hi, pretty hard to guess what it could be. Some suggestions: try to connect the ToneX to some other device to verify if the shot persists...just to be sure that it is due to the ToneX. Try a different distortion profile in the ToneX and a different profile in the Kemper. Try to use a different power supply for the ToneX. I don't know if you are switing on or off the ToneX....if yes, instead of switching on or off the ToneX, try to use just a preset that correspond to the pedal switched off... These are just some ideas....
Yes, you are right, obviously changing effect chain of the kemper, according to where you plug it: for instance if you plug it into the return of an amp, you should disable to power amp simulation and the speacker simulation. Thank you for your question.
@@LeoGibsonGtr ok so headphones and audio interface : no need for a power amp pedal and keep all sims enabled / powered cab and return of amp fx loop : disable power amp and sims, keep preamp sim / power amp pedal + non powered frfr speaker : disable power amp and cab sims ? If I am right the only moment you keep all sims on is when playing through headphones and when recording direct ?
Hi Bobby, actually I didn't...I would like to do a richer package of profiles, offering them at a small price...I need time, as I would like to do great sounding profiles...and it requires time. Thank you for your interest and for your message!!!
Hi, actually no, you can't use the exact same setup: the stage has two effects loops and the had has only one. You can check out a comparison of the two units here: ruclips.net/video/NC4lV4ar6bY/видео.html Thank you for your question!!
Leo everytime i try to use my stereo delay "big joe analog delay" i a loop stereo no sound comes from the delay? Just a dry signal still. But in mono loop the pedal works just fine. What could be wrong??
Great video ! Did you try Fuzz pedal in the loop effect ? I'm curious to hear of it's good or not. Did you notice a difference between the sound of your OCD if it was used before the Kemper or if it was in the loop ?
Hi Jessy, I didn't try fuzz...actually I should do it 😊....as regards the OCD position, I didn't find any noticeable difference using it before the Kemper or in the loop. Anyway, I prefer in the loop as I can control it within the Kemper. Thank you for your message and your interest in my channel!
I have about ten pedals in a chain. Can I plug the chain into the Kemper Stage and just play or do I need to follow the steps from your video in order for it to work?
Hi Joshua, you can. My setting is useful to integrate the pedals in the Kemper so that, for instance, you can switch them on and off with the Kemper switches. Thank you for your message!

You are welcome and I'm happy to have been of some help!!! Thank you for sharing your experience!
A gear reviewer who can actually play the damn thing. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, this is a great compliment!!! Really appreciated!!!
☺️☺️☺️
I liked the playing and originality.
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you like the playpen and the originality!!!
Great job, great sounds, great playing, bad socks
Thank you sooo much!!! 😀
you guys sound great together.
Thank you Mike, really appreciated!
Just amazing!!Great job Leo!!

Hi, Leo! Would it be possible to control an external pedal (for example, an Eventide H9) that is in one of the Kemper's effects loops via MIDI?
Hi, yes, it should be possible....even if I'm not 100% sure, as I have not tried myself.
Thank you!
Ciao Leo, grazie per questi video esplicativi bellissimi! una domanda: con la porta midi del kemper posso quindi cambiare anche i preset del Volante?

Im trying to put my fuzz on loop mono but in the screen appears “effect loop not possible Aux input is used” what can be wrong?
So as the atage is unpowered you can either plug it to audio interface, headphones, return of amp fx loop, powered cab, power amp pedal, am I right ?

I connected my MT-2 exactly as you described. Why does it sound like S**T even when bypassed? I am getting a lot some sort of interference or noise.
Hi, I'm sorry...no idea....I assume the MT2 is the Metal Zone....that I don't have, therefore I can not try myself.
Does it work with ditto looper?
Hi, I think yes...in any case you can put the ditto in front of the Kemper.
Thank you!
