WORK WEEK IN MY LIFE: my first week living in SF!

- My very first few days in my new apartment in San Francisco! I show you my commute to work, my 7-4 job, grocery shopping, and happy hour. My room is very much still empty, but hopefully I can show you a more updated room decor haul soon. ALSO I realize this went up SO late -- had a rough time with a brand I was going to work with. Excuses excuses! You will not have to wait as long for the next one.

My current job is a (stay at home mom) ; in-between career shift from 14years of hospitality -->tech (interested in python, but playing around with Java while caring for my baby) because I need something more challenging for myself. 🥰

I recommend investing in a clipper so you can get around through muni and bart. :))

I started an internship about a month ago as a graphic designer/web developer and I guess I’m still trying to figure out the work life balance thing. I feel like my life now just belongs to this company. I wake up at 6, leave for work at 7:30 to get there at 8 every morning and I stay until 5:30-6 every single day. By the time I arrive home after a 30 minute drive it’s already getting dark again and I have to take care of my dog and make dinner and do all the homely chores.
I guess I’m just wanting to know if it gets any better or is it like this in every job? Any advice would be great. I’ve started doing yoga for 30 minutes in the evenings to stretch out and give me something to look forward to
Could you please do a video on the best things to do/see/eat in San Francisco? I'm coming on a business trip in late February and I want to make the most of my five days there!
Btw Clipper card is suuuper nice if you wanna use other public transport in the bay. I’m fairly sure you get a lil discount when you use it on BART too. I’m excited for you, and enjoyed seeing you get set up in SF :)

San Francisco is such a fun and beautiful place to work at. I go to the university of San Francisco and love it, a little tip for you if you ever forget cash or clipper card is to use the Muni app and you can purchase your ticket on your phone!!!

Muni has an app girly!! And it’s $2,50 so slightly cheaper than paying on the bus! You buy your ticket and activate it when you start your trip. Ps: it’s just Muni, not “the” muni haha same as Bart. Welcome to SF!!! Hope you love it as much as I do!

I definitely say "the muni" but it might come back to the socal/norcal split with adding "the" before freeway names. Grew up in socal.

Welcome to the City! There are so many lines that goes from the districts to downtown from the Metro (J, N, L, M) . Others are 5, 31, and 38. I love 1-california. Hope this helps with your work commute. If you want a good early bird express line for fidi is the 31AX. Catch it on Geary and 42nd. :)

i should do a video on it! i grew up in the bay area so it's my home base and where i've always felt most comfortable, but there are absolutely reasons it's not ideal.

Not sure if you will see this but you can get the monthly muni pass for 81/month where you can take all muni modes (including cable cars) as many times you want for the month. It’s a lot cheaper and more ecofriendly to take public transit .. just a suggestion

There is an app for Muni called MuniMobile! You can purchase bus and cable car fares there if you dont have a Clipper (which BART and Muni are both slowly eliminating paper tickets, so the app will be helpful for anyone who wants to visit).

How is the southbay, and any affordable housing. I'm in the midwest and may have a job opportunity in fremont, but the prices are a shocker in comparison.

I finally have Uber. I have been having balance problems because Walmart talked me into bifocals, and they make it hard for me to walk. So I had to take an Uber to the hospital to get lab work done (my CBS - I have a mental illness), and I have to get this ever 4 weeks. It was fun taking Uber though. On the return trip this guy was like "Anybody here waiting for a Lyft?". And then another driver was like "anybody here order Uber Eats?" I'm like, "no not me, I'm waiting on an Uber." I went to my regular eye doctor, and he wrote me a script for regular glasses.
Lmao bodegas. That's a NY thing. We don't call them that.
if you download muni mobile app you can add your card to the app and buy bus passes as you get on to the bus.

Going vegan will help you skin a lot, and I also see a medical esthetician monthly. My skin was HORRIBLE when I first moved to SF and Josh Maniscalco cured my acne and minimized my scaring.

I'm guessing Ruby is concerned with the horrendous overpopulation and housing crisis the Bay Area is going through.
Love your energy but this is so sad seeing what this city has become... This is most definitely not the same city lot of us grew up in..Also as a bus driver in this city if you ever leave your wallet or for whatever reason can't pay just ask the driver for they refer as a courtesy ride. Trust me we won't say no. You'd be surprise how many don't even pay and sneak on however if you ask you'll be covered if the fare inspectors board the bus..
CityBoy YayArea people don’t realize how bad this city has gotten. The 1960 and 1970s were the prime time of the Bay Area. Now its for the RICH and POOR.
