@@brocklod3673 that's exactly what made it sooo hilarious the first time I watched it! The fact that he takes two steps and then sings in the other mic... LMAO.... this is soo funny it's good. It's not my winner, but it is near my top 10. The entire choreo, complete with the band, it just cracks me up. It's like every Eurovision cliche wrapped all in to one song :D

Iceland might not win but we can never get enough of fun songs like this one imo. Remember San Marino made it to the final last year. I feel like there are many ballads this year so this is definitely needed in the competition.
Iceland is in the same semi final as Denmark so i will be voting for this
Edit: just to clarify, i think it's a really great song AND fun at the same time. Can't compare it to san marino. Way better

i absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! it's so cheesy, fun and clever on stage (with the extra microphones), has cute lyrics (about the singer's daughter) and is just all around a GREAT eurovision song

Yeah it's such a beautiful meaning to the song. So lovely that his wife and sister and best friends can be up there too. I think this would have won. It's certainly been stuck in my head since I first heard it! They did a "quarentine" version on their RUclips channel which is really cool.
When this song came out and the other Söngvakeppnin songs. I never knew this will be a favorite since I first listened to it!

For Daeva, I don't like the English translation as much as I did in Icelandic. In Icelandic he was talking about coming from the future to make a better present...
But he actually wrote this song in English first and later had to write an Icelandic version for semifinals :)

Actually, Klemens from Hatari was one of the jurie members in Iceland national final, and gave his vote for this song.
Hatari went down on there knees to give Daði the Icelandic baton. So no they will not cry.
