It's such a shame they couldn't perform this at Eurovision Song Contest. They would have won with it

I liestened to this heaps with my 2 year old dancing round the lounge room then one day I was listening to the lyrics and was like ‘oh this is about his little baby’ so sweet

Now this one is a JAM.
Once you find out it's a song written for his baby it takes on whole new worlds of meaning. Great, great video...it won for a reason.

Daói is super talented & has a wonderful sense of humour (which often shows up in his music videos) - The ‘band’ is just there for effect as they don’t actually exist, Daòd does the lot!
He is reported to be very humorous during his gigs. I definitely intend to see him live some day 👍. He has a channel here on RUclips x

I'd jam to this when I first heard it.. then after I actually listened to the lyrics just after having my first child, the song starts to pull at my heart strings a bit.. lol
The gag is that it's supposed to be the after-dinner family entertainment with the child playing her recorder, etc. Then Daði and Gagnamagnið show up; the family doesn't know what to make of them and don't really dig the music. This isn't even a real band, but an entity Daði put together to enter this song in 2020's Eurovision. His wife is the curly-haired woman, his sister is the blonde, and the rest are their friends, only one of whom is a musician (the blue-haired woman).

Dáði is very talented, he writes and composes all his music. I randomly came by and i am happy that you koved this. Have you ever heard of Eurovision somg contest? Daði represented Iceland in 2020 (contest cancelled due to covid) and then once again in 2021. He got 5th place I believe. Such an amazing luve performance. In Eurovission main vocals must be live.
