    Thank you guys for watching! I hope you guys got something out of it! Again, this was a completely made up report sheet so some things may or may not be accurate (protocols may vary depending on the hospital), but it's just to give you guys a general idea.
    Let me know in the comments what questions you may have regarding the subject of report (taking and receiving report)
    I have more videos to come for you guys so stay tuned! Follow me on Instagram and subscribe if you haven't already so you don't miss out! 💛

    That was so helpful! Thank you! I start my first nursing job next week and always struggle with which report/brain sheet I like. I have made my own brains throughout nursing school but I think I will try the first one when I start!

    I’m a new grad and I found this extremely helpful! I’ll be starting a new grad RN position and will utilize this. Can you please make a video on giving report? I feel that’s an area I’d like to work on but I’m curious as to how other nurses do it without being all over the place lol
    Thanks

    I found this video extremely helpful. I'm definitely going to try out these new methods the next time I go into work. Can you do a video on giving report and time management during the day. I've been on the floor for a couple of months and I still find myself struggling with time management skills during my shift. Thank you so much for posting

    I’m in nursing school and just completed my first semester and first set of clinicals and this would’ve been so helpful if I would’ve seen this before the semester started. This is be a great template to use when second semester starts. Thank you so much. Love your videos.

    Great brain sheet! Thank you. Do you use the same brain sheet a few days in a row since you already have all of the pt info and history on it? Would you pencil in daily info on your accu checks and add to labs and tests etc. Thank you in advance.

    How long were you in PCU???

  • @lashandacoq1885
    @lashandacoq1885 4 года назад

    When you worked on the PCU, how did you organize it when you had a new admission in the middle of your shift? Or did it not change much?

    • @PriscillaDesiree
      @PriscillaDesiree  4 года назад +6

      Lashanda Coq great question! I regret not including this in the video. I didn’t even think of it! So what I would do is take out the staple, remove my assignment sheet from the stack of papers, add the new patient’s sheet behind the last patient, and then place the assignment sheet behind the new patient. Then I would staple it all back together. Sorry if that was confusing! Basically, I’d take it apart, add my new patient between the last patient and my assignment sheet and then staple it back up. I would do this once or twice a shift, more or less depending on discharges and admissions. Hopefully that made sense! LMK

      @@PriscillaDesiree In an ICU? That's insanity. That's how many patients I take on telemetry. When I'm on stepdown I only get 3. I thought ICU was always 1-2 patients.
