"When we sit, we are never alone because all the saints and enlightened beings of the past and the present are with us. Meditating mindfully means contact and continuity to a long tradition. To sit is to be assisted and held. Mindfulness is being an adult. " David Richo - How to be an Adult in Relationships.

I discovered Dr Richo when trying to understand Transference and Countertransference. The three parts talk uploaded about 6 years ago. Grateful for that talk.

Omg when David spoke of the 3 ways of getting back at somone this was me doing all 3 was so angry I wanted to get back at him, then I calmed down decided not to fight it was to much stress, later giving in kinda and lifting myself higher an above the negative.. I love the way it's expressed like placing flowers to the grave.. it definitely is like that.. wonder what that means to a dismissive Avoident..

Thank you David for your wisdom and guidance and to Banyen Books & Sound for making this possible for all of us to listen to. I would like to ask a question please regarding the information in the book. I understand the book helps one identify where the triggers stem from, Childhood, Ego or Your own Shadow but once the reason is identified, does the book explain what to do and how one can help them self manage being triggered. Your You Tube talk spoke a lot about triggers & identification but I didn't recall if there were any solutions once one has their findings behind the triggers. I do recall you mentioning compassion & love but was interested to know if there is more guidance provided in the book please. I am in the position where I understand why I am triggered but am trying to find & learn solutions to help me cope better. I love your knowledge and experience and was hoping there is more to help me & learn from you book. Thank you.
