My drama: (TW: eating disorders, eating problems and body dysmorphia) in my school they serve school food. I am really grateful that my school offers food to their students in my country, so students that are having it hard with food at home don’t need to worry about bringing their own food. But sometimes I’m just really disappointed with what they serve, But I’m not even a picky eater at all. The food is just really bad quality and they don’t have a lot of money to buy food that students actually want. Some times me and my friends will go a whole 7-8 hours of school without eating anything due to the schools food. Another problem is that they always have signs that tells you the max amount of for how many portions you have to take so that the food will last to everyone. I do understand this, since they don’t afford to buy food for everyone in the whole school, but this thing can also be really triggering. I myself don’t struggle with any eating problems or body image problems but almost all my friends do. And I try my best to help my friends thru this at all times. Sometimes my friends don’t want to take more food because their scared that other ppl will shame them for it. I always offer to take more food for them. Even when it says a sign “max 5 meatballs” or “max one bread per person” I don’t always follow them. I don’t know if that makes me selfish or anything but like what am I gonna do, starve? Sometimes the signs feels like they’re are expecting that “no one could ever eat more then 5 meatballs” and it’s not great. Once a week they serve fish that is brown and watery with boiled potatoes. Other days they literally serve liver steak? Like wtf? Either way this thing has really affected mine and my friends mental health, in terms of literally never eating lunch and continuing being hungry and tired for the rest of the day. I am really sick of this problem and when I have spoken to my parents or the teachers they just say I’m being dramatic and I should still eat it. And I know they say that for my own well being cause I obviously need to eat something but it just feels like they don’t get it. There have also been people satirizing the whole situation and posing as preppies and pretending to hate the aesthetics I mentioned above. Reading the comments, I've found that a LOT of people don't understand that the accounts are satire, and as unserious as it sounds, it's honestly really concerning that people can't tell the difference.
i’m a junior in high school and even now it’s like 1 in every 3 students can’t read “fluently”. They will like stutter and skip over words and mispronounce basic words, and i get it could be for other learning problems but it’s even 06/07 kids can’t read as well as people used to.
My mom (late gen x) always talks about how kids and me (gen z) always believe stuff we see online. Like, yes very true but she’s the kind of mom who sends you random Facebook and insta reels. I don’t really think it’s the platforms fault 100%. In my opinion I think it’s 50/50. Partly the apps and partly the amount of brain rot content we are showen from a young age. Mostly gen z and gen alpha. But in recent years platforms such as Facebook have been adding aspects of brain rot into it. As a whole our generation is just rotting from the inside out. Gen alpha is gonna be a scary new gen if TikTok isn’t banned. There are kids like 10-12 on that app. Some of my friends have had it since they were 8. It’s purely unhealthy.
I think viewers' age matters when it comes to their understanding of satire. I watched South Park all the time when I was in elementary but never really understood it was satire lol

ben ur so fucking funny and real i love you 🤣🥰 but everything you said was so on point. it's terrifying how we all ingest things at face value and don't think twice about it. especially for children whose brains are still developing and they can't differentiate between satire and the truth. even as a fully grown 27 year old tik tok can be addictive and convincing to me.
as an 8th grader I would like to say I can read 😅 also when it comes to other kids around me obviously some can read better than others but for my school at least none of them are bad enough at reading to be concerning. The lowest reading level some people are at is probably a 5th grade level i would say the majority of 8th graders are at at least a 7th grade reading level. So in conclusion I would say this definitely depends on which state, school, city etc.

I love ur yt videos sm but the amount of times you've cussed and my parents heard is uncountable 😭
as an 8th grader I would like to say I can read 😅 also when it comes to other kids around me obviously some can read better than others but for my school at least none of them are bad enough at reading to be concerning. The lowest reading level some people are at is probably a 5th grade level i would say the majority of 8th graders are at at least a 7th grade reading level. So in conclusion I would say this definitely depends on which state, school, city etc.
