The call from Celina about her vision actually saved them since she specifically told them what not to do like not touching the tree. In the end we see Sam almost about to touch the portal tree and the entities weren't able to harm Colby so if he would have touched the tree while sitting he might as well have gotten possessed and did something to the other two and turned into what happened at the end of Celina's vision.He already has one attachment so he might have been the easiest target. Plus I am sure one of them would have touched the tree if told not to. Spooked the crap out of me I can say.

Some people think that detachment ritual worked, some don't. I'm personally not convinced, considering that when watching older videos from Sam, I noticed confirmations of attachment up to 4 years ago as well Unless this attachment was the one they let loose in The Origin, I doubt a spirit would follow one person around for closely for years on end to just leave within a night What do you think, though? EDIT: That attachment from The Origin must've been around for nearly 10 years before they tried to get rid of it.

I think if they went through with it further, they would have Selina's prophesy come true. They were gonna lose their guide(Sam), confused and potentially possess Colby then get Kris. The first three candles under the bridge went out in a sequence, Colby, Sam then Kris. 2nd time was similar as well. Kris being there was a huge trigger for the malevolent leader spirit. Probably reminded him of the lady that refused to be his even till death.

Celina is extremely gifted. Which scares me because if she did go with you, she would've been more vulnerable to having a spirit from that place attach to her. She's very lucky her senses protected her. Granted it wasn't in a very nice way but her senses sent her home safe.

The call from Celina about her vision actually saved them since she specifically told them what not to do like not touching the tree. In the end we see Sam almost about to touch the portal tree and the entities weren't able to harm Colby so if he would have touched the tree while sitting he might as well have gotten possessed and did something to the other two and turned into what happened at the end of Celina's vision.He already has one attachment so he might have been the easiest target.
Plus I am sure one of them would have touched the tree if told not to.

I think if they went through with it further, they would have Selina's prophesy come true. They were gonna lose their guide(Sam), confused and potentially possess Colby then get Kris. The first three candles under the bridge went out in a sequence, Colby, Sam then Kris. 2nd time was similar as well. Kris being there was a huge trigger for the malevolent leader spirit. Probably reminded him of the lady that refused to be his even till death.
