Scammers typically target the elderly and attempt to steal money by several means.
1. Your Bank Saving or Checking accounts
2. Investment accounts or 401k retirement funds
3. Credit and Debit cards
4. Purchasing Gift cards
5. Cash withdrawls
6. Cryptocurrency
Scammers are ruthless criminals that have no problem stealing every last dime from their victims bank accounts. Please protect yourself as well as family members who might not be familiar with these type of scams.
The US and Canadian government etc need to start holding the Indian government accountable plain and simple.
The Indian Government doesn't have a single shred of respect for the Liberal Government in Canada. They won't help us with anything now.
We Indian people are with you, make sure they get punished harshly.
Even we want our government to take strict against them
They don't care
They don't
They plan to announce their global currency system as the solution. As of now these scams are actually helping them with their "global currency as the solution" plan
if you’re in true trenches aka a bad neighborhood, police are less active, that’s with anywhere in the world, also if you’re rich enough, it really doesn’t take that much to change someone’s mind to turn the other way.
Listening to these victims crying is just crushing. It makes me so angry. I'm glad her bank helped her. Many are not so blessed.
Yes, that 🇨🇦 bank will do that if they've been given the evidence.
It's not easy, but it's more likely with the help of people like P.
Whenever I think of scammers I think of India.

@@biggestcomplainer there are evil corrupt people all over the planet. And good generous loving people all over too. And just regular day to day people. Holding prejudice and hate against an entire people based on the few is very wrong. There are many many people in destitute poverty in India, who are honest. These scammers make them feel ashamed. And they're not responsible. How we win is not allowing hate in our hearts. Satan is the ruler of the wicked. So don't blame the innocent.
I work at a bank, and it’s unbelievable how many times we get calls due to these jerks.. so your videos, although heartbreaking for our customers, are definitely appreciated for what you do!
how about an informative letter and/or email to all of your customers that informs everyone about these scammers and what they are doing ~ I get these kinda things from my bank here in germany, even the start screen of their website is showing warnings about recent scams and how to prevent being scammed
@Yasminh-
A friend of mine was working with these scammers and he was sending all details to someone on usa who runs this business.
So I guess the bank is involved
Sad
U banker sucks. U should aware these stupid people about these scams .
this stuff always makes me so emotional. money has always been a struggle for my family. the idea that someone can lose so much is heartbreaking
I wanna see you make some scammers seriously cry. Don’t hold back anything. Shut it all down.
That would be priceless hearing them cry .
These indian scammers call me about my Amazon account and i tell them to go back to live in poverty and that sets them off.
Yeah it's a lot toned down to what some others do to the bastards
'Crying' doesn't achieve anything, you fool. Putting them in prison for 20-year prison terms, where they are locked in with violent criminals, is the answer.
If you think 'making them cry' accomplishes anything, you are a fool.
@@YD-uq5fi Yup unfortuntately there is not many punishments deemed to harsh for the likes of these scumbags
We need to promote awareness of these scams. It's insane that they're still getting over on people in the year 2023.
Keep an eye out for red flags: Indian accent: cash app or cash cards, bank wire transfer, Bitcoin
It’s because it’s mostly elderly people with bad memory who fall for these.
There is awareness out there but some people choose to ignore it and think it won't happen to them .

You guys are amazing , keep up the great work you do 🙏🏼❤️
Thanks for being the hero we need
I think the reason why so many people are getting scammed because people are unaware of how the system works. If we can spread this information somehow, there won't be many people getting scammed so much.
Apparently a LOT of stores in America now have big notices and cameras on the Gift Card section, or people watching, because nobody reads the big "Are you being scammed?" notice.
They are watching for (generally older) folks talking on the phone to someone whilst collecting many gift cards. Sometimes it's enough to ask them if they are being called by Amazon/Paypal/Whoever, then ask why do they want payment in GIFT CARDS. And why do they have an Indian accent?
Enough to break the trance they are in, and point out that they are being scammed RIGHT NOW.
No, its because many companies have outsourced their customer support services to India.
And that is why when people with thick Indian accent calls their victims they are fooled into thinking that they're dealing with an official agent from Amazon or PayPal.
If these greedy af companies stopped outsourcing their costumer services to India amd kept it all within the US or Canada, you wouldn't be seeing this problem blowing up the way it currently is.
There's a ton we could tell elderly people in order for them to stay vigilant, but it begins with you at home, talking to your elderly. Don't depend on someone else to do it.
1) Most companies will never call you directly and ask for personal information.
2) If the caller sounds Indian or Nigerian, then its probably a scam. (sad but true)
3) Don't ever give out bank details over the phone, use a trusted site that has your information encrypted.
4) Question the caller about personal information to verify their legitimacy.
Time for a lot of us to take action.
Thank you guys so much for doing this. I just wish it was easier for you guys to get these guys arrested and have them pay for their crimes.
We indian also victims of these scammers . We totally clueless bcoz they developing new types of scams . But our government ,media continuously spreading awareness so we can't fall in these traps.
I’m a Canadian, the lady been scammed I really feel sorry for her. The bank itself sending you all kinds of messages to protect the customer about scammers. I can’t believe she fall on this. So sad.😢😢
Sadly some of these people start believing the scammers over their bank service people simply because when they start hearing conflicting information they will just stick with what they heard first, not what makes the most sense.
Also vast majority of these victims are elderly who are not very good with tech and are more susceptible to being scammed like this. I have worked in a bank in India and you would be surprised how often even the well educated people here fall for such scams and the common factor is that a lot of them are like senior citizens with very limited knowledge about internet banking and cyber security basics

I understand scammers getting their foot in the door with some victims, but as soon as they start asking you to buy gift cards, you would think even the most unsophisticated person would be suspicious.
That’s the part I don’t get ! I almost more understand when they make a Zelle transfer but when it’s gift cards that makes no sense to me
As someone who has worked retail, and stopped a scam in progress, seeing these people, in person, being educated or "sophisticated" has nothing to do with it. In the moment, they are frightened. They don't understand what's happening. How many times have you been swept up in a situation, found yourself in a panic, and done something that you'd kick yourself for later? That's how it is for these people. It has nothing to do with sophistication.
@@riversan90 Scared? I don't how scared I am, no one is going to make me believe that one of the big tech companies wants me to pay them back by going to the store and buying gift cards. Let's not mince words. This is basic common sense. I can understand senior citizens -- for whom all of this technology is new -- maybe falling for it. Then again, I've talked to octogenarians on the phone who call on the phone for support and they are tack sharp and understand tech as well as anyone.
@@Vicos No offense, but comments like these exist on many videos about scams and I also wonder what the point of them is. Like...congrats on not understanding people are different than you? Comments like these always talk about "common sense," but in saying these comments, youre also lacking the "common sense" to...recognize the evidence and reality in front of you? And/Or that not everyone is like you? Like, frankly, the concept of common sense is somewhat silly in the first place, but also, every video about this is evidence that that obviously "common sense" is...in reality, not common. And then these sort of comments are made and yet reject any explanation youd think such a comment would be asking for. "This is the way I think about it and it cant be any other way, whats 'wrong' with these people?" Like, at the end of the day, whatever, Im just curious of what the purpose these comments are made for? You wont take the explanation, so like...do you just want to hurt and put down people who have already gone through something that makes them feel awful? I just think thats hurtful and is unnecessary, I dunno. It sucks!
Like, this sentiment and the urge to shame/put down people not only ignores the evidence that these scams are becoming more common (this is a statistic you can look up and ponder "If its 'common sense,' why is it increasing and not decreasing?" I urge you to! AND its even among young people), kind of lacks compassion and the sentiment of these videos/channels in general (to spread awareness, help people, to prevent others because this is a hurtful and serious thing that victimizes people even if you think YOU cant be victimized; especially since overconfidence is something that actually makes youre more likely to be victimized), and, like. The message of shame this sends is the reason why some people who get scammed/extorted frankly dont report, dont tell anyone and get the support they need after a traumatic even, and/or even kill themselves (e.g. the sextortion case earlier this year), adlbndalfkjn- Someone's already hurting and feel completely destabilized regarding their future and then they know theyll be treated badly because they for some reason deserve more hurt via people victim blaming them like its totally their fault and theyre so stupid and not...the people who took advantage of them and hurt them- At best, youre thinking about this in the wrong direction, focusing on the victim and not the perpetrator. At worst, youve just watched evidence and replied to someone who had in-person experience/would know more than you, and yet, responded, "This doesnt align with my worldview so it simply cant be true!!!"
You dont seem to get victims, which is at the end of the day, again, is whatever. I dont get you and people like you, but Im not gonna act like youre lesser because we dont think the same way (maybe because of the hurt youre putting out, intentional or not). But if youre not gonna accept an explanation and/or recognize that people are different than you YET STILL deserve sympathy, you just gotta mentally settle with "It is what it is" and move on or something, I dunno.
Always credit the conman. They are fully responsible for tricking and harming people. I'd love for people to not fall for scams but our brains work the way they do and people of all ages have different information available to them and knowledge learned. It's embarrassing and scary and tragic, and we need to provide empathy and information to victims instead of shaming them@@Vicos
