Jon's watch was over. The vow they make for the Night's Watch is until death. He died. Literally, his watch has ended and he is released from his vows.
Then he shouldn’t have executed them as the “Lord Commander” if he knew he wasn’t.
And yet no one stopped him, or questioned him for it.
@@joshhutton9534they were traitors either way, if not Jon someone else would have 🤷♀️
He was voted the Lord commander. That was his role his honor and and his burden but because he made a choice to save as many lives as possible and bolster out forces against the true enemy he was put to the sword by his own men. And the he left. Truthful G shit.
@@joshhutton9534 He passed the sentence, he swings the sword.
When Jon says "My watch has ended" it's because he swore an oath to the Nights Watch;
"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death..."
Jon died. Jon kept his oath. And so his watch has ended.
He died, so "until my death" takes a check mark.
In the books he’s actually still dead lol 😂
Plus, remember the funerals that the Night's Watch had? They always ended with "and now his watch has ended"
@@benguenscheso did the book just say end when he died?
@@Jakeyboy1800 He dies the same way at the end of book 5. Book 6 is still being "worked on".... George RR Martin has been writing it for nearly 20 years now.
I love your deep sympathy for what Olly went through - not just the loss of his family, but the way grown men twisted his grief and confusion into full-blown hatred for Jon.
You need to do more reactions on a regular basis. I know you're probably busy but your personality flies off the screen and you're a true breath of fresh air in the reaction world. I can't get enough 🙂
I agree!
Yes!
Hannah is such a genuine person, that all her reaction videos beat the majority of the ones out there because it's sincere. Even though she's an actor, she's not acting in any of them. I've been reliving the impact of this series with your reactions and it's really appreciated Hannah, so thank you.
She's one of the few reactors who felt bad for Olly, yet it's understandable why Olly was so stubborn on the wildling situation. They murked his parents, specifically Ygritte and Tormund. It's easy to radicalize someone when that person watched their family die. But at the same time, Olly was one of the most hated characters on the show lol.
@@MFBloosh yeah exactly, that sounds like a well written character to me. I remember the shock factor of Olly's death, I don't remember feeling sorry for him but Hannah raised some valid points and her reaction made me think about it deeper.
Oh shit hey secretsofdune!! 🏜️
@@idcman Hi there 👁🗨👁🗨
How do you know she isn't acting? What if she's just that good? 👀
Hannah before the episode started : " i'm really happy"
Hannah after the episode ended : " i'm really sad"
lmao
The sad thing truth about Stannis wasn't his ego, it was his elevated sense of making sacrifices in the name of duty. He hated himself for what he did but he believed he was doing what had to be done for good of the realm.
Well said. Melisandre put an enormous burden on his shoulders, that only he could lead the defence against the white walkers army.
Show and book differences aside, and there are MANY for Stannis, Davos explains it well in the books. He basically says that Stannis felt he had to win the throne to save the realm (from the WW), but he really needed to save the realm to win the throne. He was one of the few in the seven kingdoms who understood where the real threat was and what the real war was going to be.
Some of the biggest atrocities in human history has been done with the same thinking.
Exactly. Taking duty to an extreme and not understanding that if you don't bend you'll break. Daenerys made similar mistakes when she was in Meereen. I keep seeing people say she was ruling in an "emotional manner" when she was doing the exact reverse. Chaining the dragons being a major example. But after the fighting pit attack, she finally understands her mistakes.
Also for his brother Robert as well. It was his duty to honor Robert's memory and honor by taking Robert's throne since he was played by Cercei, and Stannis was the true heir.
Stannis always knew his end was gonna be bad. He said that he saw it in the fire: "I know the cost! Last night, gazing into that hearth, I saw things in the flames as well. I saw a king, a crown of fire on his brows, burning… burning, Davos.". He knew that his quest for the throne will make him die, but he thought that it was his duty.
Also, Stannis' peach speech about Renly was so perfect. Said a lot about how Stannis was thinking.
Banging reaction as always baby ❤️👊🏽
Fun Fact about the Ned flashback. The only other survivor of the battle with Ned (the one who stabbed Sir Arthur Dayne in the back of the neck) is Howland Reed. Jojen and Mira's dad!
I was waiting for someone to point that out
Facing that dude 1v1 after he just killed your whole squad took some balllssssss
@@benguensche Yeah but this Arthur Dayne was lame, in the books he is someone who when fighting a dreaded brigand (known as the mountain of that time for his ferocity), saw that the brigand's sword was damaged by his sword, Dawn, and stopped the fight to allow him to get a new sword before fighting.
No way such a guy fights Ned with 2 swords in hand.
Hannah you have the BEST energy! Love watching!!!!!
That flashback of Ned at the tower of joy is one if the most important parts of this whole series. And one of my favorites parts of the book series. Although in the book, it comes to Ned in a recurring dream. But it reveals soooo much!! The Knights Watch are there until till death. Jon died and is no longer bound to them!
Then don’t act like the Lord Commander and sentence them to death if you don’t consider yourself one of them anymore. Let the new Lord Commander make that decision.
@@joshhutton9534Your argument doesn't make any sense. Becoming a member of the Night's Watch is completely voluntary.
Jon can be a member of the Night's watch as long as he wants too.
You can only leave when you die though.
Obviously there is no rule about what happens when you come back to life.
But I seriously doubt you would argue semantics with someone that just came back from the dead.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Key moment here. You will do well to put it in your back pocket for later.
Did she miss Pycelle's little toot when he noticed the Mountain had walked in?😂😂
I never understood why people assume that your physical brain would remember if there was an afterlife if you were medically dead or even in John Snow's case. It would be experienced by the soul, not the body. What you remember close to death are the things your brain is doing to make things as comfortable as they can be because it knows you're dying.
Yeah. Also the way I see it the brain has "filters" to protect itself from an overload of info. Hence why seeing the past or future or remote viewing or telepathy are all possible abilities but hard to access because full constant access would not be bearable. We already know the brain has a deep subconcious level where info is difficult to access, so I think it works like that too for "supernatural" knowledge/abilities.
or, when you die there is NOTHING - just like before you were born, billions of yrs of nothing, and you didn't mind then so why will you mind after death - Answer - you won't mind.
Varys "Children are blameless." Qyburn "Not anymore."
Your furbaby deserves parents like you two .When you Love animals it tells alot about someone's character. Looking forward to the next one.
So I've only recently discovered your channel and just binged watched all your GOT videos in a few days. I can't get enough! Your analyses, predictions and your genuine reactions are so good, it's a joy to watch. Thanks so much!
hannah, i found your channel and ash's channel one month ago, i already watched pretty much everything of you two, i love your vídeos, i've been waiting for these new reactions of game of thrones, keep it up, you guys are so funny and awesome, sending you love from 🇦🇷
I love the way you flipped off the screen lol I do that too 😂
In the books Osha and Rickon are still at large. Ramsay has kidnapped Mance Rayder (yes he is still alive) and in the letter asks for his wife and "his Reek" back.
We're ramping up, sister! Get yourself some tissues. Happy tears. Sad tears. Tears of relief. Tears of joy and misery are coming.❤
I don't know how she has the strength to wait. I didn't discover this series until Season 7 or so. It was coming back to air soon and my husband made me watch GoT with him in preparation.
I had to binge the series up to that point about four times... immediately.
Seen it again four or five more times through to the end.
It taught me some deeply philosophical lessons about life outside of my bubbles.
Easy to become invested when the story is so well told and as a watcher you have a good heart...conflicted feelings for so many characters.❤
Life is like a Hannah intro. You never know what you're gonna get
The Ramsey meltdown had me in tears 😂😂😂
Ned never spoke about killing Ser Arthur Dayne. Obviously, he had to say what happened, but he had other reasons (including leaving out Reed's role) for not accurately reporting it at the start. Bran would hear other people telling the story because Dayne was the greatest swordsman of his time, a living legend.
I'm so excited to see the rest of this season. Hannah is about to go through all the emotions!
Oh my goodness that PUPPY 🐶🥹🥰
Another great job Hannah! I love re-watching this series through someone else's perspective. I love following your ups and downs. The reason you are so invested and the reason you feel ALL the feels is because of great writing, great acting, and having a great imagination. I absolutely cannot wait for episode 4's reaction, your next Stranger Things reaction, and your next reaction with Ash. Thanks for all of it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi from Alabama, love the dog. On friday i had a knee replacement surgery, my wife opened my tablet to your channel you ash and the dog made me smile I love your reactions.
Such a treat to get a new one of these it’s actually getting me more hyped for House of the Dragon!
The fact that Hannah posts videos so infrequently and her channel is still growing at a very good pace is a testament to how good of a reactor she is. I’ll stay subscribed ❤❤❤
I thought I was the only one who felt bad about Ollie hahaha
i felt so bad for ollie! it seems we were the only ones who cared for him a little
I thought it was common... sad to learn it's not. People are just silly with their black and white views.
I stand by the fact that you’re THE best at making reaction videos. Your enthusiasm gives me goosbumps, Hannah! I’m so glad to be here watching GoT with you! 😭🥹❤
WOW that is a calm puppy. If I so much as smile at mine, he tries to jump up and bonk my nose, LOL. :D
Like Yoda says. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate.
Ollie was completely full of hate at this point in the story. The hate he felt for the wildlings was more powerful than anything he felt for anyone else. More than his loyalty to Jon Snow. More than his decency. More than anything. His cup was completely filled with hatred and there was no room for anything else.
He had to die. Murder is an execution offense in the first place, but murdering your lord commander is so much worse. Even if Jon had pardoned him, he never would've been trustworthy or reliable. He would've been plotting and acting against Jon's interests for the rest of his life.
Yh I agree but it’s a bit unfair as Jon literally didn’t want to make trade with the Boltons as they killed his family, it’s only Sam that persuades Jon that they need then so yes he did put his grudge aside but not especially yet it’s expecting Ollie to able to have the wildlings around
@@millieboon Jon had anger at the Boltons and at the Lannisters, but they weren't all consuming hatred. He ALMOST abandoned his watch to join Rob's war, but he was talked out of it. He ALMOST refused to ask the new Warden of the North for men, but was talked into it. Jon's anger isn't all consuming and it doesn't completely blind him to reality, and it can subside and allow him to see clearly.
Ollie was beyond all that. He was hopelessly lost in pure hatred. Even to the point that right before he was hanged for treason, he wasn't even sad or fearful, he still only had hatred in his face. He was completely consumed by it, and it's all he had within him.
Unlike Jon, that isn't the sort of thing someone will be able to just talk him out of. Matter of fact, Jon and Sam both tried talking to him about it earlier and it didn't change his mind at all. That's the difference. Jon could put aside his anger for what he knew was for the best, Ollie wasn't capable of putting aside his raw hatred.
Maybe with years of therapy and/or medication, Ollie might recover, but I can tell you from countless instances i've experienced personally that if you get mentally fucked up as a child, you never get over it and recover. You stay broken for your entire life. The best you can hope for is find ways to make it more managable, but there is no cure for it. And in a world like Westeros? There was nothing that could be done for him. He was too far gone.
Ollie was a traitor. Ollie was a murderer. Ollie couldn't be helped or saved.
Ollie was just misunderstood.
Ollie stabbed Jon in the heart. He deserved to die. Ollie was nothing but hatred. He hated all wildlings. He did not differentiate those responsible for his families death and those not. He was a coward. He would not have acted on his own to avenge those responsible either. I was not sorry in the least to see him go
@@robinbyrd3463 "He would not have acted on his own to avenge those responsible either"
Did you miss the moment when Ollie shot an arrow into Ygritte, one of the people responsible for the raid on his village and the murder of his family? Do you think that was the only arrow he shot that night?
Hannah is so passionate about GOT that's what makes her the best reactor, I really want to see her face for the finale of the season, to me 6x10 is the best episode in the whole show
Hannah, I’ll tell you this, you remind me so much of my sister, such a big heart full of empathy. You can see the best in these characters and mourn what they could have had. I hate to see you go through it with this show but I do appreciate your takes on each episode!!!
"STAY-THE- F***-AWAY-MATE!"
Sounds very personal. 🤣
Aww man, there are some GREAT episodes coming up this season. :) SO excited to see your reactions to them!!
The High Sparrow did not get to where he was without being eloquent. Velvet words masking an iron fist and power hungry heart.
Well after binging your entire reaction playlist the last few days, i am finally caught up lol and now i get to wait with everyone else lol. But i finally got my husband to agree to watch the series with me so we'll be watching it feom the beginning soon yaaaaaaay lol can't wait for your next upload! Much love from Florida!
Ohhhhh I can’t wait to see Hannah’s reaction to Sam’s cleaning scene in the citadel
Ash should be around just for the lolz 😈
And the legendary transition into Arya's oats a little bit down the line 😂😂😂
Getting a dog was one of the best decisions I have made in my adult life. He is 11 now. So grateful for the 11 years of JOY, adventures, laughter and love we have shared together. ❤️
I don't know if you've ever had a dog like that before, but he's going to need a job. If he doesn't have a job, he's got the capacity to be extremely destructive. That's a powerfully intelligent, high energy breed. You'd do best to find him something to do, preferably something to herd. Sheep or cattle would be best. Ducks or chickens would work. Children will do in a pinch. But a dog like that HAS to have something to do, or they go insane. Good luck!
I grinned ear-to-ear when Olly died 😊
Can't wait for episode 6×10 😊🍷💚⛪💚👀
great emojis for the episode bahahu
I have seen that pupper all of maybe 4-6 times in previous vids, and I instantly knew the cuties name! KODA! 🥰 love from 🇦🇺
Koda is adorable. Lol, couldn't be happier for the two of you. My absolute favorite reaction couple:)
When Maester Aemon said kill the boy, clearly he meant Ollie 😂
Hannah is one the first to give Ollie justice, thank you. I was tired of seeing other people be angry about a teenager who has lost his whole family to wildlings. His motivation is very reasonable, while he can be wrong at the same time.
Nah bro deserved it
Come onnnn🤦🏻♂️
I just hate him, do you blame me for hating this little shit?
25:50 there must always be a Stark at Winterfell
If you want to see a really great performance watch Hannah in her own film called MY DAY. She is a great actress. If you think her reactions are wonderful…..and they are….you will love her acting.
girl you gotta continue!! this is the best season truly
I've been waiting for this thank you
I actually thought that Ollies death was quite sad as well, you cant expect a child who witnessed his family get slaughtered to be wise enough to understand that not all people on the other side are evil
At last I've caught up!?! Love the channel Must Trust Hannah. ❤

Melisandre did not believe she had that power to resurrect Jon. She did not believe that Thoros, the bald bearded drunk guy that is also a follower of the Red God, should have had the power to bring back Beric Dondarrion so many times. She had never tried, but knew that Beric could. She may be an old lady, hundreds of years old, but she still learned something new when she brought Jon back.
Jon still has a role to play, and the Lord of Light has placed her in the exact position to help Jon, and granted her powers she did not know she had to further serve Jon and the Lord of Light.
Melisandre is probably freaking out at getting a power up from her god, seeing it as a sign, but a REAL sign this time.
Not some stage play she helped craft with putting a sword in a fire and having Stannis pull it out like the first or second time we saw her.
My current favorite reactor strikes once again
Yes!!!! Ash Cameo 😂 and Koda Cameo!!!❤️🌹 And more GOT epic Win 🔥🐲!
After watching hundreds react to this series the way you get and react to this sequence 26:00 is the reason why you are my all time favorite GOT reactor. Olly never had a chance.
I loved the reaction chooky, but I've never wanted a reactor to just move to the next ep immediately so badly, more good to come luv you'll be right ✅️ ❤️ aussie girl xxx
Shereen dieing could be the life payment necessary for bringing back john from the perspective of the Lord of Light. "Only death pays for life."
Bull, there was no connection.
@@harish123az I think he's talking about the books, Jon is still dead and Shiereen's thing hasn't happened yet, it will change Jon, making him more ruthless... but the adaptation changed that
I always assumed it was a test for Stannis. Is he so awful that he'd kill his own daughter for the throne.. yep.. lol
@@sproductionsinc One mis-action could have many effects and meanings, yours could very well be spot on as well.
The Knight with two swords is Ser Arthur Dayne. The sword he carries and thrusts into the ground is Dawn, a greatsword (shown here more like a longsword) forged from a fallen star that is said to be on par with Valyrian steel.
He is supposed to be the greatest swordsman of the age, even Jaime Lannister and Barristan Selmy saying how great he was, though we don't know how he fights specifically, so the screenwriters made him dual wield since no one else in Game of Thrones has dual wielded two longswords for an extended time.
I know a lot of the fan base thinks Jon resurrection was bad writing but there is literally no one else we can depend on at this point in the show, Dany across the world doing her own thing and without Jon no one learns of the night king and the walkers. Who tf y’all want stepping up in his place Sam? Theon? Jamie? I will wait.
Finally Hannah a month later you uploaded the GOT
Ser Arthur Dayne was known as The Sword of the Morning because it was the title given to the wielder of "Dawn", a unique ancestral sword of House Dayne, not Valyrian steel but forged from the heart of a fallen meteorite that crashed near their home, "Starfall". The sword was said to be lighter, faster and sharper than any Valyrian steel sword and to wield it and be The Sword of the Morning being the lord of the house was not enough, you had to be a member of the house who was proven worthy of the sword, nobody says how they prove themselves but they are always highly skilled swordsmen with honour beyond question. If nobody is currently worthy, the sword remains in the great hall awaiting the next sword of the morning.
Two noteworthy things are first that after Ned slew Ser Arthur, he personally returned the sword to Starfall as a mark of respect. Secondly, as Ned once killed Arthur with his own sword, he was ultimately executed with his own ancestral family sword.
IMO the most dishonourable thing Tywin ever did was refuse to return Ice and instead melt it down and turn it into two swords for his own family.
Yes, it showed the lie in all his blather about legacy. He cared nothing for legacy of tradition, what he wanted was dominance and renown.
I love your reactions! I hope we can get back to 1 a week
Honorable and all as ned was, there is no way he could tell the world that the sword of the morning was killed by being stabbed in the back 😂
Ned actually never said he killed Arthur Dayne, it was other people who surmised that from all the talk over the years about what happened at the Tower of Joy. Ned never really spoke of it much.
I would've loved to see a matchup Dayne-Martell. Crème de la crème.
@@-Default. pretty sure we said the same thing but worded differently 😂

As someone who brought home a baby corgi four days ago, I wish you on the best with the upcoming sleepless nights
Yay, loving your Quavers earrings Hannah ❤
the flashback knight who was killing everyone was Ser Arthur Dayne, dude is a legend in terms of swordplay
Even though Ollie was a kid, I never really had any sort of emotions towards him. Yes it sucked what happened to him but that stuff happens to lots of people everywhere in that world. Jon couldnt parden someone who stabbed him. No one would take him serious as Lord Commander if that happened.
And yes he literally died so his watch had ended. Id be out too after all of that. Try to find whats left of my family and be with them.
Season 6 is one of my favorites. Love your reactions! Ive seen the whole series about 4 times now lol
the blooper of varys who cant get his line right is hilarious
The best GOT reactor ever!
25:39 😂😂😂😂😂 honestly the most accurate and relatable reaction to Ramsay
Justice. Great reaction Hannah!
12:40 - Recall back in season 1, Jaime and Ned's swordfight in King's Landing... Ned gets stabbed from behind to end the fight.
Remember, if you don't see them die, then they're not dead. Jon Snow's watch has ended because he fulfilled his vows on the watch and released him from his obligations. I love your gags when seeing someone get sick. The same thing happens to me even when I hear it. Can't wait for next episode. Love your reactions. Keep it up ❤😊

the targaryan swardsman is ser arthur dayne. the greatest swordsman in history.. look him up. watch the histories and lores of game of thrones hannah.. its good
Hannah your little fella is sooo cute 🥰 Such a lovely pup. May I however mention, that those squeaky toys shouldn't be given to puppies so early. When puppies play with their littermates they sometimes bite each other and when the bitten puppy squeaks that is the sign for the other puppy to LET GO of the puppy that squeaked. So by using those squeaky toys you literally teach it NOT to let go but that biting into it so it squeaks is a GAME. When he's bigger and thinks biting into someone's hand is a game, that can be dangerous.
Especially for Australian Shepherds and other dog breeds that "hunt" (herding dogs perform a hunting sequence to push the sheep forward, just without the kill at the end, that was bred away). Australian Shepherds bite sheep into their heels to push them forward. If you let him bite into things for fun, that can lead to problems with people later. Also don't let him "herd" you to control you. If he starts to follow you around and aims for your heels when you don't go where he wants you to go, that is a warning sign.
Hope you don't mind, just thought I should warn you that that sometimes can happen. Depends on the certain dog and the owners of course.
It's been 9 years, and I'm still heartbroken over sweet Shireen. Also, sadly, actor, who played Kevan Lannister, passed away this month.
Empathy knows not the bounds of right and wrong, Feeling it, even for those who's fate was sealed by their own choices, is never wrong.
Unless its Bolton or Geoffry
You know I always thought about Jon's remark that he saw "nothing" doesn't have to mean that there is nothing. Only that the god in question doesn't allow the redoers on life to remember anything of the afterlife.
Tricked us with a dog to have Ash on…well played.
Hannah dressed like she's a Spiderman villain. Love it!
ash looks sweet with the lil pup!
I find it more surprising that Melisandre didn't think much of Jon being involved in the bigger picture from the start. She mentioned multiple times that she saw him in her visions, doing whatever, yet she just didn't want to believe that maybe JON was the important one, and not Stannis? And how many people died because she couldn't see the truth...
Imagine Ned finding a deserter of the watch who claims his watch already ended.
Random but kinda relevant fact to that Varys/interrogation scene: after the American torture program in the middle-east was revealed, the government had to change tactics. Turns out that torture is SUPER unreliable, but bribrary is like the magic bullet. If you can offer a disaffected terrorist, say, asylum status plus college scholarship for his sister, they give up all the goods. I'm not going to get into the politics/ethics of it all, but just pointing out that Varys (and George R R Martin) were ahead of the curve.
My childhood dog was named Koda and looks exactly like that😭😭
Awe! Koda is adorable 🥰
I got here, after having a shit day which involved me losing my phone yesterday, just as the premier was ending. Because I was out for 2 hours walking around to see if my phone had fallen out of my pocket, looking in the grass, asking people if anyone had left a phone there yesterday at all the places I went to. Because, can't call them, no phone. So annoying, because it had resulted in a still missing phone. So, I guess today is going to be a challenge as well.
Just a heads up for maybe a future show to watch, because 5 of these actors from GOT are on the Netflix show "3 Body Problem", and both share the same couple of people who created both shows, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. John Bradley plays Samwell Tarly in GOT and Jack Rooney in "3 Body Problem". Liam Cunningham plays Davos Seaworth in GOT and Thomas Wade in “3 Body Problem”. Jonathan Pryce plays The High Sparrow in GOT and Mike Evans in “3 Body Problem”. Conleth Hill plays Varys in GOT and Pope Gregory VIII in “3 Body Problem”. And Mark Gatiis plays Tycho Nestoris in GOT and Isaac Newton in “3 Body Problem”. (Pope Gregory VIII is a character in a simulation game, and Isaac Newton is a scientist's avatar in the game.) Is it as good as GOT? Hmm, that is hard to answer, because apples and oranges, one is a fantasy, and the other one is a sci-fi. After I watched it, I immediately rewatched it. Like I did with GOT. So, there is that.
Jon feels a sense of duty for everyone, supposed friend and supposed enemy alike, because he understands that the White Walkers are an indiscriminate threat to all human life. Ollie was still at an age where the self is central to one's worldview, which limited his ability to appreciate anything other than the immediate weight & urgency of his resentment. I don't imagine it feels good to execute a mixed-up little brat who couldn't help himself, but you can't keep someone around if you're constantly going to be looking for the knife in their hand, and you can't set a precedent for forgiveness when someone demonstrates an unquestionable willingness to kill you.
Ned's sister is a REALLY BIG mystery in the series and books. It won't be spoiled for another 2 seasons.
You're invested because they did a good job on the show. Season 6 is my favorite of the show.
By the way, I thought a "geezer" was an old man but you seem to call everyone a geezer.
"Fun fact" - the man who saved Ned is Howland Reed, the father of Meera and Jojen.
Hannah, you’re gonna like the beginning of the next episode. 😁
That is the cutest dog ❤
I was like “Hannah’s earrings look like a duck” then ash pulls out an actual duck 💀
Congrats on the dog guys!
