But it's a "lifestyle" subscription, which I assume is for gullible guys who need this crap in order to feel more manly. And, those socks scream "manly." I'm guessing subscribers pay for this junk with money they would have spent on an dates.

Generally, I know the desired impression is that they are buying in bulk quantities and recognizing revenue for the company in the variance between retail and discounted purchase pricing ... but that isn't usually the truth of the case. The truth of the case is you're paying $45 - $50 a month for boxes worth about $40. They aren't saving any substantial cost on any of those items. Those socks are about $20 retail. The battery probably $10 - $12. The wallet about $5. What is really happening her is you are overpaying for products for the ease of receiving them in a box. Sorry ... that's the real model.
"You didn't think you needed" is one of those phases it's really hard to get on board with. If you need it you need it, if not then you never did.

Like all these box deals, they are just clearing out cheap crap you'd find on the discount aisle in any big box store and upcharging you for the convenience of getting it all in a single box.
Bespoke is crap. $50 for some socks and cheap external batteries? Also, I was looking at the "sales" today and saw a Rhythm jacket that I liked. Bespoke price? $105, on sale in only 2 sizes, medium and XL. Went to the Rhythm website and found the same jacket for $75. Really bad deals.
I finally cancelled my subscription the other day. The value of the boxes has, in my opinion, gone down the last few years and I haven't been able to justify taking a box in a long time.
Same here. If I see something interesting I just go and get it on Amazon.

@@asawilliamson441 they require you to contact customer service, lol. Sign it's a high pressure scam. I've noticed things are small, thin, cheaply made, it shows a "discount" but that's just cause it's not.a high quality item at all.
@@denmanfite3156 I disagree. All the products I’ve received are worth the price and I’ve gotten the box as well as purchased directly from the site. I’ve also received the Black Friday mystery box and it was well worth it.
.... so far every subscription box I’ve seen online and in person that other people have received has been straight up junk. Cheap low quality knives , glasses . ( socks, cheap battery bank ?? I’d be pissed if I received that box.)

I’ve been a subscriber to Bespoke Post for a couple of years now. I absolutely love the experience. I have a reminder set to check the service on the 4th of every month to make sure I don’t accidentally get the wrong thing or buy something when I don’t want to. One time, forgot to check, and customer service was very helpful and accommodating. The way I see it, any company that is willing to keep you from spending money you don’t want to spend on their product must have a lot of confidence in what they’re selling. And they have reason to be. Everything I’ve gotten from them has been more than worth the price. Sometimes I look at my weekender bag or my coffee set and marvel that could have gotten them for $50 (with shipping). I’ve never been dissatisfied with the product, because months that I’m not sure I would love the offering, I just don’t buy. I maybe buy something from the service 3-4 times a year, and I’m sure I’m going to keep my subscription for years onward. Once I make a little more, I think I’ll start getting some things just to experiment. I also use Bespoke Post to get gifts for people. It’s always been a hit!
Third Position haha I can see why you’d say that, but I legitimately think they’re a great company. It’s like, you expect there to be a catch, you know? Like, okay, they only give you five days to cancel or change your monthly box. The reasonable assumption would be that they must be hoping that you just forget to cancel and end up paying $50. But if you call them after your deadline is up and ask them to cancel, they’ll totally cancel. Or, if it’s already shipped, they’ll let you return it for free
Basically, they want you as a long-run customer, so they offer really good customer service. Which works out for everyone, yeah? Like, if Bespoke Post only had mediocre customer service but the same good quality stuff, I’d probably cancel, because I wouldn’t want to risk basically wasting $50 on something I don’t want. But because I don’t have to worry about that, I remain a customer, which means I look at their boxes every month, which leads to me buying more from them over time. So I only get stuff I want, at a good price, and they get customer retention that they in turn can use as a selling point when reaching out to product manufacturers to contribute to boxes. It’s a good system

They got my subscription when I realized they allow infinite skips. I get the Black Friday black box every year and maybe only one other box, but I wouldn’t have bought in at all if they didn’t have that flexibility

Cool you do Sous vide. I am a big fan, and about the only way I cook proteins these days. I usually finish with the broiler or on the grill, so not sure I would use a torch. Thanks for the video. Will check out Bespoke.

I agree. Curated boxes are nice from them and it’s not a surprise every month. You can accept, swap or cancel the box each month. I’ve have not been disappointed yet
