For men who have little to no style, are on a budget, and don't like to shop - judging from all the videos I have seen (I think these services are fascinating), I think Trendy Butler is not a bad place to start for some people. Definitely NOT for the Stitch Fix crowd. The quality might not be as high as Stitch Fix or other comparable services, but for the money, not a bad way to introduce different pieces into your wardrobe. I personally tried Trunk Club several years ago, and it just didn't work for me - too much money for the "unknown" factor (style and fit), even working with the stylist. I don't mind shopping enough to want to use a service. Love the approach The Kavalier takes to all his reviews - very helpful!
This was my first video that I've watched from you. Good sh*t my man! I have never used a styling service before and you provided me with some good notes to get myself started on doing a little more homework. Thank you sir!
One annoying thing with Stitch fix is that you might like 4 of the 5 clothing pieces but because of the 25% discount you are better off keeping all 5. I've had this problem where one piece I have no use for. I don't know if SF lets you exchange one say sweater for another piece and still get a 25% discount.
Zxc - just occurred to me that services like Stitch Fix that only offer the discount if you buy everything they send might be purposely putting in one piece out of the five that they KNOW (or are at least hoping) you won't want (based on your profile) - that you will send back. A sneaky way to avoid giving you the 25% off? Just a thought.... Their stuff is a little pricey, but does save you the trip to Nordstrom.
Whatever happened to Frank and oak subscription box? Like 2-3 years ago, they had one, and for the price was a good service, but seems they might have been losing profit. Thoughts?
That was the original box I signed up for and loved it. They didn’t seem to stick with one style of subscription for very long and it hurt their messaging. They’ve changed a lot since I signed up in 2012
I know it's off topic, but I'm ordering my first Oliver Wicks suit soon because of your videos. Once the swatches come in I'll pick, nice little touch they do.
for anyone who has used stitch fix can you put the clothes you dont want in your mailbox and put the flag up and have your mailman pick it up? Looking for other ways to return the clothes instead of going to the post office (im thinking about getting a stitch fix)
ThreadLab seems to be online now and it seems to be that you can style exchange? I'm not certain though because nothing explicitly says what happens to the original amount you pay...
i'm too short for the clothing subscriptions. would be interesting to see peter manning, ash&erie or similar get into this space as well....but not sure they could make it affordable.
I'm 5'5" and I don't dress stylish. Can't find great cloths in my size and I hate the idea of spending a lot on cloths. Was really curious as to how these sub boxes would do for a man my size. I emailed back and forth with a thread beast rep and they said they keep your hight in mind but their reviews said other wise. Ive been wearing the same shit for 7 plus years 😞
stitch fix legit doesn't let you set a price, its all random and boxes usually are filled with overpriced items you can just find at discount retail outlets.
Stately subscription clothes is terrible. Stay away. Hopefully no one else will have the terrible experiences I had with them. But I have found reviews sounds like it is standard operating procedure for them. Besides clothes that don’t fit, that are cheaply made, once you cancel people are reviewing that they are getting additional shipments in charges. That happened to me I ended up having to turn off my credit card because weeks after I canceled they sent me more boxes and refuse to accept returns.
I've not delved into clothing sub boxes, but have done the accessories boxes for years. They're great to get started with, but you only need so many ties, pocket squares, socks, etc. I've now unsubbed from them all. But the GQ box continues to come and is one of my favorite boxes as it offers a great variety.
Be careful with stitch fix. With mine, they constantly would send me things 2x higher than my "price preference". So I'd love the clothes sometimes, but there was no point receiving it because of the price. Also, unfortunately if you have more of a "lifters build". Basically bigger thighs, smaller waist, or bigger neck/shoulders but smaller waist. They will send you things that are basically meant for fat people. If you have a "normal" body maybe it's better, but that is just my experience. For reference I'm 5'7, 165 lbs.
Actually, I've found that it's saved me about 40%. I'm trying stately at the moment. My only issue is that I'm not really a fan of certain brands that these companies carry.
Old post but ppl like me dont know how to dress up. My usual was just blue Jean's and a Walmart button up. I went shopping with my sister (her husband is always dressing up casually) and she showed me what her husbands favorite brands are and what to wear and pair together and I felt like a completely different person. My confidence soared thru the roof, I went to a wedding and felt like I couldve took whatever bridesmaid I wanted. Haha but it was clothing i would never even looked at before. Tried goin by myself after and I had no clue what I was doin.
not everyone has the time to just go out and buy clothes with my line of work im never able to just simply go out and buy shit, also covid-19 just happened soooo yeah
Disagree with stitch fix. They were never in my price range always the next price level above the one I chose. Kept a few things but a belt i kept broke within 2 months and no I'm not fat.😁
These are a total scam, just buy some nice clothes. It is cheaper and not that hard plus you actually get nice clothing that looks good. If you dont know your style just buy some basics, it is really not thst hard
In case you missed my latest project: thekavalier.reviews/Stryx-03
Excited to bring more than just videos to you guys!
I guess it is kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good website to stream new tv shows online ?
@Aaron Lincoln flixportal xD
@Emerson Ronald Thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it!!
@Aaron Lincoln No problem :D

Thank you for sharing your reviews! I've recently did the Stitch Fix and used your videos for honest reviews. Thanks!
How the hell did you get that picture so perfectly edged into the frame of this angle?? I'm almost Livid at how perfect it is lol...
I noticed that too! 😂 I'm assuming he cropped in post and it just turned out that way.
Well now I can't not notice it. 😂 Thanks.

Which subscription do you recommend for “going out” clothes (bar, club, date)?
Please advise
Love your videos! Trustworthy and thorough
I like
This channel much much more than alpha m and teaching men’s fashion

This is the best clothing review channel!

That's great to hear Kris! I'd love to know how the process goes for you!
@@The_Kavalier I'll drop a line back here in a few months with an update then, unless someplace else is better.
Kris Cotton any updates? I’d love to hear about your experience

What about stately men?!?
Bombfell is already out of business 🙁 would you suggest an alternative other than stitch fix and trunk club?
Threadbeast but its streetwear
Any places sell entire outfits we can choose ?
Have you given up on the Nebia follow-up?
Stitch always put stuff in over the budget I put. Going to try stately.

Same here and well stated.

I didn’t know bombfell went out of business
Can you make a roundup video for belts?
Do they ship to Canada?

And what are the works clothing subscription???
I tried one but I am a big/tall and none cater to me.
I'm surprised you like them, I feel like all subscription services are a way to end up with a billion items I never wear.

Much appreciated. Thanks for sharing
I love that they now have more gender neutral boxes, too. The Sizzle Bespoke Post box was awesome!
Yes my wife likes the boxes too!
great content!
Seems like a waste of money to me, why not just buy things you need when you need them?
