Some people don’t understand how long it takes to 1 set up the camera shots and 2 edit it always high quality from you guys 👏
canoe made it extra tricky;) trying to be quick and not lose balance jumping in and out hehe
Well its easier to sit in a warm kozy chair
Then to do all the camera, editin, driving, traveling, exploring
Great stuff guys👍
I'm always amazed
with all the effort for
the camera shots.
The morning scenery shots were beautiful especially the ones around 14:57
Felt like something from a Tarkovsky film!
Top notch filming and location! Cant wait for the next adventure.
I am so used to seeing Jager during your adventures that his absence is quite noticable.
Can't wait to get off work and watch this adventure! You guys got one of the best survival/outdoor Channel out there. Really starting to think about doing some Bushcraft videos on my channel mostly just do hikes and stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Yes they do!
Yeah they do!!!
Check out Jim Bairds channel
Damn.. I really admire the filming and editing. The quality on this channel is just getting better and better. Great job Julius! Did you take any classes? or is this all just really experience from filming videos for the channel? If so, your a natural. There's been so much incredible growth lately.
The best video of you guys! Such beautiful images! Calm, peace, tranquility, thats what we need. Thanks for all efforts of you Julius and Dylan
Nice and relaxing. Realy makes me wish I had this kind of environment near by, but I'll settle for experiencing it 2nd hand :) Great work as always
I love this kind of videos, i hope you can make more of those...
Nice little canoe. I didn't notice a baling scoop, a whistle, and twenty feet of rope to stay in the canoe. Such is the law here in Canada. Glad to see flotation devices. Very pleasant video. I like camping like you are doing, catching lunch and boiling water. Keep it up.
2 whistles built in our lifejackets, there's a 15-20ft hanked rope on the front of the canoe clipped on with a biner,
after that, alot of cordage here and there. Steel canteens/pots make excellent bailing scoops ;)
anyway, we didnt know that any law like that exists, but it makes alot of sense! Thanks alot!
you two are 2 of my most favorite people on this planet. Thanks for all the great content I wish I lived in an area with such splendid natural beauty but I'm glad I can experience it through your videos!
The beginning of the video with the drone shots and the music, so nice. I had kippenvel.
tenks!
Ahh sorry I've forgotten about your channel for some reason your not recommended and you don't pop up on my feed I'm back and well done I've missed you guys
Great atmosphere in the footage and nice complementary music. Paddles look great! You've made this Canadian bushcrafter on his couch in Hong Kong really miss home. Keep up the great work fellas.
Cool. Nice camera work, sound, love the colour of the fire burning orange, aerial views, birds, cracking fire, attention to detail. Hats off!
the intro shot to this was amazing! keep up the content
I'm a simple man: I see smotth gefixt upload --> I like and subscribe
The Intro on this video was Really Good !!!!
Guys this video grabbed me right the way, the beautiful view, atmosphere and background music. Reminds me a little bit of older Ray Mears videos canoeing through the delta. Well done guys, well done;-)
What a beautiful calm atmosphere! I realy liked the new way you cut the video and you had some realy good camera positions. It felt like I was there with u guys.
Beautiful images, great filming!
I have probably already commented on this video, but I'm bored, so I'm watching again. The camera work at the beginning, the canoe trip in, is some of the best camera work you've done. Just beautiful.
Totally beautiful guys - refreshing to the soul!
I really like how you can't see any thing in the distance, like a perfect island surrounded by nothing
Looks very similar to the lakes I see here in Nova Scotia! Minus the swans... Incredible quality footage.
So hyped to watch this!!! Love these videos, you've been doing so well recently with the content and I really appreciate it! eager to see more crafting challenges too!
It’s 11:59 pm and this is sooo ggoooodddd love it 😍
It is so quiet and peaceful better luck next time with the fishing. Appreciate the lesson on the mint tea.
I had a feeling youse spent a lot of time around Irish stoners from the way youse talk 😂 come do a camp in Wicklow lads
great video
Lovely camera work! Maybe when visiting a perfect natural place like that take a lightweight folding fire bowl or little bbq on legs to avoid making a big burnt patch on the ground. Even one fire kills micro organisms in the soil and prevents plants growing there. Also nicer for anyone else coming after.
fair enough! stuff like that is very easy to bring in a canoe or other type of conveyance :)
we do take time tho to dig out the burnt area and replace it with 'fresh soil, etc' to minimize impact.
i camped there about 1 year ago and couldnt find the fire place i used then. Thanks alot! :)
nice fishing action there. you can surly improve your casting skills but at least you had a wire leader, great man!! a tipp: for this kind of lure (spinner) you just reel in constantly otherwise it wont have the action its made for. looking forward seeing you guys catching some nice trout or perch or pike!!! like alwyas love wathcing your vids. keep it up
thanks!
You guys keep getting better! This was one of your best IMHO....
Fantastische video! Prachtige beelden.
Brilliant video, loved the smooth cinematic intro. Very cool. Noticed some nice big dry bags, did they keep everything nice and dry :)
Dylan always makes me nervous when he sticks his hands right in the fire when he adds wood.. 😶
just have to be quick about it ;) thanks for your concern;) Cheers. Dylan
I love these videos.
Your camera work is outstanding guys, I am a massive fan of your channel.
Always excellent 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome trip guys! Thanks for the inspiration
Hey, long time viewer here. I once read somewhere that you shouldn't put those boats on their sides for the sake longevity. It slowly deforms, causing the boat to pull to one side when using it in the water. Never-the-less, awesome video guys.
i made the wooden gunwales myself, and they are very very rigid! :P wont bend if you try to, but thanks for the heads up!
@@SmoothGefixt Gotcha!
Smooth fix on the paddles guys 😁🥃🏴
worked great indeed!
Impressive , am still on spoons etc 😂
Excellent video guys and Dylan, you did a great job on the tarp set-up. Did you make shavings and feathers from the fatwood? That view of the swan was awesome. After camping for decades now I find I want to eat better than I did in the early days. If you want to get inspired watch some of Nagualero's videos.
Looks like fun, looks like something I used to daydream about as a kid. But it also looks like quite a swim off that island if something happens to your canoe o.o.
and def. quite cold!!! brrr
Hi Guys: Great video. Funny, but living in Canada I don't expect to find bush areas in Ireland; however, you sure proved me wrong. Great adventure well done. Thanks Brian 79
such high quality video and content i love every video you guys post . keep it up never stop !
Nice editing job. Well done
What a nice video, so relaxed, and the nice Celtic music. What a film art. Every saturday morning, I connect my laptop at the TV to watch your adventures with a cup of tee. For me the films can be longer. Beybe boys :)
Beautiful...
Well you guys made a raft, now you've made really nice paddles. I think the only logical next step is to make your own canoe. Or maybe a pair with different techniques (example: Bark vs Dugout.)
SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH gefixed jonge!!!
All ways love the content and enjoy you both. Keep on keeping on
You guys are amazing :)
Awesome video
Loved it keep it up gents🤙
Cracking video lads as always looked like a stunning place for a camp thanks for sharing atvb jimmy
nice video
Great video guys! Such a lovely place.... but why the video is so short? Make these type of videos longer, 1-1.5hrs... so we can enjoy and watch it like a movie 😁
next canoe trip will be a bit longer;)
What is that music at the start of the video? Absolutely glorious
Veeeeeery pretty place! Did the same thing in Zeeland, pretty as well, but had to share the lake with shitloads of other people.
Also, for anyone who watched Black Sails: doesn't Julius kinda look like Long John Silver in this?:p
nice vid
beautiful scenery, thank you for sharing. Where is our favorite survival dog today? ❤
looking after the girlfriend;) Cheers. Dylan
You guys making a boat for those paddles anytime soon?
Good video, God bless!
dont think so;)
Great vid guys, True adventures, Smooth Gefixt :) ATB
Camera work off the scale guys !!
13:30 my favorite shot. Beautiful.
Dit zijn wel enggge camera skills...Smooth Gefixt oldy
amazing as always
upgrade !
😃
Good video
Savage camera work lads, beautifully filmed, ye put a fair amount of effort into those shots. What Lough are ye on? The Ree? 🌳👍
derg;)
18:48 "I feel like a... SMOOTH"
That's one giant rod for canoe fishing
Nice video again. I suggest to use bit smaller fishing set. It gives you more fish. That one looks like you´re "trying to catch a whale" :)
lol yep it felt that way too ;) id be more comfy with a smaller setup.. this one was borrowed
That beard is looking great Julius.
Getting that shot at 2:57 is a lot of willpower . :)
The paddles seemed to work good
Is there a part 2 for this one? it feels like it ends kind of abruptly.
Love the video! Just a question - what knife would you recommend for carving bowls and spoons? (The curved ones)
James Geddes I have a morakniv and it’s pretty good, I think I’m a previous video they said that they liked them.
Vette edit!
Zero wind
Please tell me there's a catch a fish in part 2!! I'm hoping yes but my gut feeling is no for some reason, dunno why 🤷🏻♂️
hehe sorry man its only one part.. we only had time for like 30 mins of fishing,, just a bit of messing;) Next time! ;)
It would be cool if you could show a general location on a map so we know roughly where this area is
I agree.
ok;) This was on Lough derg in ireland ;)
Fntastic vieo as always. What is the music at the beginning (before intro)?
17:34 Sign reads "NO BUSHCRAFTING"
I would use fish guts as a bait for fish.
How did you guys enjoy ireland
what does smooth gefixt mean>
👍
Thanks for the vids
Personally I think you guys should leave more of the ‘banter’ in
you guys ‘chewing the cud’
Or for the non native English speakers
Just chatting....
I guess it’s hard for you when you’re editing to be able to leave in the ‘chat’ as watching yourselves just talking is probably difficult to decide what’s entertaining or not.... but I think what stands your channel apart from others is your genuinely funny without trying and your different personalities and the ‘rub’ of them makes things interesting and funny
On top of that the camera shots are lovely - artistic again without trying it seems
Great work
Many thanks
I'm guessing you have a 3 by 3 meter tarp the 5 by 5 is like a casale! Wait for a good deal and still or keep say 5by 5 tarps around your phone 😏
Spreekt hij nederlands ? So far I thought he was British and only an English speaker?
je weet toch
Hey Dylan is your hands fireproof
are your boots completely waterproof or do you get wet feet when you step in water like that? 4:24
they are indeed, till 2-3 cm above the top of the boot. Lowa combat pro gtx i think theyre called.. getting signs of wear after 2 years of hard use. i recommend them! worth the $$ if you look after them;)
@@SmoothGefixt Damn ill defenetly check them out when i cant wear mine anymore, my boots are not that waterproof but ive come to love then through out the years :D
Love your guys videos! Just a reminder, “Indian” isn’t a great word for white folks to use. Perhaps, if you don’t know many First Nations people, you are just not aware of that. Anyway, looking forward to the next round house video!!
Does Julius ever get called ( a lanky streak of piss ) just joking ? ( it's an English silly insult ) just for fun.
What is it for music track please?
when are you gonna build your own canoe????
What are the knots used at 7:27 & 8:01?
one end of the ridgeline has a bowline, this one goes around the first tree with a loop and a stick as toggle. the other side was like a 'truckers-hitch'. lol hope this helps ;)
