I love to see new products and what can be made from them. The leather look would be a plus. You suggest a 60 wt. thread, is that more like an "upholstery weight" or just typical Jeans wt. thread? You could also use a "Magnetic Clasp Snap Closure" instead of the loop, they are about 30 cents per each. Can't wait to see all your new crafty ideas come to life.
I have used so many of your tutorials for Christmas and birthday presents. you always explain things in such an understandable way, thanks for sharing your gift! cant wait to try this.
+Jill Boyes thanks so much for the kind words! So glad that I could be of some help :)
My hubby won't use any other type of wallet, so I am so excited to be able to make him one!! The colors are perfect for him and am anxious to start. May have to make it longer to hold more . Thank you for bringing this material to my attention! And have always loved your tutorials!
+Beth Porter Kraft-tex is like a whole other world!! So many things you can do with it :) glad that you love it!
Loved this project. Made four of these for family. You are a great teacher. I have learned so many things from your projects from adjustable purse straps, binding and working with vinyl in bags. Thank you for all the little fun last minute projects.
I just made this for my husband for Valentines Day. What a great gift! I am excited to give it, turned out so good!
Very clever another great stocking filler for Christmas I’ve made quite a few of your little projects you explain everything so plainly. I’m left handed thanks for the tip.xx
Just made this with pvc and cotton fabric. Some of the measurements for me were a little off. I had to cut 3 pieces where the instructions say 2, then I had a bit left over lol. I’m going to make another just now so I’ll double check it all. Thanks again 😊
My wallet came out beautiful. I did have the little tab left over. Thought I missed something. Did not see in video. I had no problem with your measurements. Came together perfectly. I do notice ironing before sewing helps straighten out flat. Clever easy project.
I really enjoy your videos, because I learn a lot and have new ideas for my projects. Thanks for sharing
Usually on wallets you would make the outer piece longer than the inner to compensate for all your cards and money to fit.
Always excited to see your videos. Loving that blue on you.
+poohie2525 You're so sweet, thanks! :)
Kraft-tex cuts great in my Cricut Explore. You can use a standard grip mat, and either the fabric or the fabric+ setting on the dial.
+Jeri Dentel that is so great to know! Takes away some of the cutting :)
Great project Vanessa I just love Kraft-tex I use it for a lot of albums that I make. Thanks for another great idea
That was great. I bought the kraft- Tex paper. Will be making a wallet for my grandson and who knows what else. TFS
You always make everything look so easy! Thanks for sharing! I will have to try this. :)
+angela14962002 you are so welcome :) Just happy that you love it!!
I'm curious if the Kraftex can take a dye, like you'd use on leather, or even pigment inks? I think the natural would be the perfect base color for any leather-look stain or dye. Wood stain would be another test I would try on it. Let dry well a few days. I can see those layered-look stamped projects really make this look vintage or expensive. Can't stop thinking about the applications for this. I wonder what textured embossing plates would do to it? Would the imprint hold up, or pop back?
Love this tutorial! Unfortunately, the link to the pattern is broken. I'd love to make this with my grandkids if I could get the pattern.
Vanessa is there a special needle for the machine to work with Kraft-tex? I love that it can be left or right handed, it really does matter.
+Jennie Wallick There's no special needle needed. Kraft-tex is so easy to work with, you will love it! :)
Hello awesome tutorial can you use leather or leatherette instead of the Kraft-tex. I was hoping for a leather feel instead of paper.
The green & blue bag hanging next to the bookcase, it's very cute. Was that a previous DIY project? I am not finding a video.
+Ann Williams that is my Improv Tote! I did a tutorial with Jenny Doan :) You can watch the tutorials here:ruclips.net/video/rHwcEzyjfn0/видео.html

Vanessa, yes its truly hard to think of things for our men. thank you
+Marilyn Kolako Glad you enjoyed it!
I did.
Can you check your cutting sheet again? Think there are some mistakes relating to closure parts. I worked it out eventually
I agree.
Just discovered this wonderful craft and am looking forward to trying it out, but the link you provided does not work, only comes up with an error. Please let me know what the dimensions are for this project. Thank you.
Do you like and recommend the cordless iron you are using in this video? I'm thinking about going cordless and read mixed reviews on the heat retention.
Hi - what paint would you use on Kraftex? And would it need to be sealed? Any tips?
Can't wait to get some of the Kraft-tex. New to me, want to play with some LOL Does it come in colors? Do you think it can be printed on? Sry...can't stop my brain.
+Terry Ivey It does! It comes in neutral colors. Here's a link for you! :) www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse?q=kraft%20tex
Can you make this with cork?
Ok another project to add to my list! 😍😍
+Donna Smith Yay! We'd love to see photos on the Crafty Gemini Creates Facebook page when you try it out! :)
Have you ever cut The Kraft tex with the Scan N Cut
Vanessa, have you tried printing on Kraft - Tex? I have a laser printer but I am a little afraid to try printing on it. I was wondering if anyone else has printed on Kraft-Tex successfully?
Can you plz make a vedio of this in paper version
Can you put a zipper in Kraftex? A small coin purse for example?
v. nice but the black and beige material you used what it called in Marathi or Hindi how can we buy it in which type of shop it is available
I am increasing the size by 1x4 inch to have more room for the cards to slide in. Also the tab that holds it together needs to be longer
please help. I really want to make this for my teenage grandson. Please let me know why my computer acts like it is going over a bumpy road when sewing 2 or more layers of Kraft-tex fabric. I used a needle for leather? Thank you.
You sure make nice videos!!!!
Can you embroider on that material?
Very nice video. you have a pretty smile. God bless.
+rosemary mohan you are sweet! Thanks so much :)!!
thanks
Very nice!!
How could I add a chain to this as my son is always losing his wallet
I think that the measurements on the materials list is off. I followed the video and just figured out the cuts but it was AFTER I had cut all of my pieces.... hopefully I'll be able to use the other pieces in another project.
katie sullivan is
• cut 1 @ 9½" x 3¾"
Should this be cut 2?
or rather 1 more @ 9.5"x3.75"?
+Meredith Keebler I think it is 1- @ 9 1/2"x4" and 1 @ 9 1/2"x3 3/4"
Hi that color is beautiful on u
