Oh wow, I bought some Kraftex and didn’t want to tackle the bigger wallet I had planned. This is perfect as I prefer not to take a purse everywhere. Thank you for another great tutorial.
We (Sewing Sewing, Normal IL, customers) really like this “paper fabric” and have used it for various sewing/machine embroidery projects. Word to the wise - Kraftex does shrink when washed and dried! Purchasing the larger Krafttex pieces allows us to cut to size after wash/dry.
Hi Laura…… that Kraft-Tex it’s right up my alley I am definitely getting me some of that I make scrapbook albums that would just look awesome for the covers…… also I love the little card holder definitely going to be making that thank you so much I love all your videos!
Laura, your a lovely influence and wonderful instructor in my life. I wish you had an amazon link to your purchases from the channel... that way what ever I purchase, you can receive some funds as well ( I believe, not positive)... I have been waiting for this type of project with finishing my cross stitch projects. I can not wait to do this wallet as well, I've purchase so many wallets yet are never the smallest possible size. Thank you for the template and this fantastic tutorial.
This product is what about 5 years old?? I made the wallet that came with the package back then and I still have it. It is definitely durable. They didn't have all the colors that they have now but I enjoyed making it and even had a class of about 10 very happy young ladies that made the wallet as well.
I always look forward to your videos! Many years ago I bought a purse pattern that called for craft Tex paper for part of the inner construction. I had never heard of it and I couldn’t find it anywhere. The purse instructions said that it was sold in rolls. I never made the purse. Now, after all these years, I see it in your video! How cool is that!
Laura, when I was looking for a micro mini quilt pattern to use in the making of a name tag that I could hang from a lanyard for quilt Guild I could not find anything and I am one who cannot take a pattern and shrink it down to a 4 x 7 or 5 by 7 or 3 by 5 size and I couldn't believe there isn't nametag or tiny quilt patterns out there for people to make name tags that are mini quilts. I thought of you right away because you're my go to quilter. Do you know of any quilt patterns that would be for a name tag in 3x5 ish
After watching this video, I got an idea! While Craft Tex is a very interesting material, did you ever try that design with cork fabric? I wonder if I could print on cork fabric?
You should try cork fabric! You can get it at Sewsweetness.com for the best price. Sara gets her cork fabric from Portugal where they sell authentic cork fabric. I really think you will like it!
If we make this in Kraft Tex or another material, is there a place where we can send you a picture? I think this would make a great way to present a gift card for a birthday or graduation.
Laura, when you said you washed it, what did you mean? Did you wash it like you wash your fat quarter fabric? Or put in a machine in a bag? Thanks for all the great videos.
Yes you can use them for patches. Scrunch & twist it up before throwing in a sink of warm water. This gives it that leather look. Again scrunch & twist it while in the water. Wring out and liberally rub leather lotion on both sides to keep it soft. Hang to dry & use like leather. Totally washable! I love this material!
Can you give us the measurements. I printed your download on two different printers and I got two different sizes. One was very much smaller than the other. I don’t know which one is correct
Laura, I am unable to print to "size". I have tried everything I know but with no exact measurements I am not getting the correct size. The pattern is either too small or way too large. Can you send exact measurements or a size reference?
Is there a percentage option for you to change as opposed to print to size. Depending on what device i print from o have different options. Phone tablet or laptop.
I honestly don't like the look of this material. All you need to achieve something similar is some heavy denim covered in your favourite fabric (on both sides).

Love your hair as well as your talent
I have been using that product over a year 😁. I also use a scoring tool, that makes a beautiful crease. Great project.
Beautiful wallet 💖💖💖 I love sewing crafts 💖💖💖

I found that if you press it, it goes back to it's flat size :)
Makes a nice little double sleeve which I could see giving a gift card inserted in it as a double gift!

Hi Laura, I made a tote bag, it is so cool .

What a nice little project with Kraft Tex which I happen to have on hand.

That is good to know, thanks :)
Thank you for this pattern! Craft Tex is sold on Amazon!
Very cute idea!
Hi Laura! Here in germany this "vegan leather" is called "snap pap" and I know it about 2 or 3 jears. It´s a nice material for many projects. :-)

انت رائعة ومبدعة اتمنى لكي المزيد من التألق عزيزتي algeria
You are awesome!
Awesome product. However, when I made luggage tags, strap was not strong enough, next time, I may try doubling the fabric.
good to know, thanks
Super cute!
Cute!
Wow..cool...love it.

Thank you and I love this idea. Would you want a spot to write your name or a place to pin your tag? :) thank you for thinking of me
Wondering? would this pattern work on cork fabric? love the idea of paper but don't have that but do have cork
Check out sew sweetness on you tube i am certain she has a tutorial for a cork wallet
Thank you Alison Hingston I am subscribed to her youtube but I may have missed this
I'm not sure as I have not worked with cork yet.
Thank you
how fun!

Yes, please go to my facebook page sewveryeasy, I would love to see it. thank you

I just tossed it in the machine :)
I printed your template but it is too small for cards. I'm not sure why? Shame. I really like the look of this card holder
be sure to have the printer at 100% . You can place you cards down and trace them and make this the size you want :)
Could I use it for elbow patches, or would they wear out. The suede ones aren't washable.

I see LaRae answered that for me :) thanks

it is about 4 1/4" wide and 8 1/2" long. but it can be made any size. The small or larger might be a fun size:)

yes print at 100%, it is a little different than print to size :)
@@SewVeryEasy The small size is not large enough for business or credit cards.
