This is literally the perfect Switch for me. I only wanted a handheld to play the new Pokemon games and I want a lighter device, with better battery life and a lower price. I've always held off on the Nintendo Switch but now this gives me a reason to get one. Nintendo clearly knows who they're targeting with this.

Michael Mancuso in a lot of places that sell the original switch like target, Best Buy, Game Stop and Walmart are completely sold out. For me there is no place in a 250 mile radius has the Nintendo switch, only the switch lite. I really wanted the original switch so I could have the options to play on TVs with friends but it doesn’t seem like these retail places are going to get the switches in stock anytime soon. Hopefully they can get more stock of them in April but it will probably come in towards the end of April. I just want to play animal crossing 😭🤣🤣
I am from germany and same bro, the normal switch is sold out everywhere... on amazon some people are selling it for 500 euros At some shops the lite is still available I am really tempted to grab it because the normal switch will be available in June or early July here in germany again according to the shops..

Switch Lite is really fun. Super light and comfortable to hold for hours on end. Battery life seems respectable as well, and despite being a super advanced cutting edge display it's good for an LCD that costs 200$. Generally responsive UI and good load times also. Easy to access SD card slot and good speakers as well, although they could be louder. Main annoyances so far are: no output to TV (literally missing the required hardware), and no access to the device bluetooth, so you can pair controllers but you can't pair headphones with it.
I bought my switch lite last month and I love it. I would absolutely recommend it, and I’m very happy with it. It’s a lot more comfortable to play portal than the original switch, and I’m so happy I bought it. If you’re thinking of buying it, and if you’re only planning on playing it portably, I would absolutely recommend you buy the switch lite. I have the coral colour, and it’s beautiful. I do not at all regret buying this.

Honestly Jake, to me I couldn't have cared less about docking my original Switch as I never use the dock. Am too afraid of scratching the screen as well as the fact that my TV is in an awkward spot to set the dock up to not to mention that it was too heavy and/or bulky to take with me, but the Switch Lite, I agree with you. I'm LOVING this. Will use my normal Switch solely in Tabletop mode on a stand (no not the kickstand), and the Lite for everything else, especially lying on my bed to play it. Also is it just me, or does the resolution on the Lite look better than it does on the OG Switch? To me it does.
For worrying about scratching the screen, get a cloth or towel and use it to cover up the front part, so that they screen is undamaged, but leave the USB port exposed to well, dock it!
I bought mine with the same color in November and happy with it. I thought about buying the original one but I don't play much on tv anyway, so this was a better choice for me. So I'm happy with it.
The tactile feel for the buttons are also different from the joycon, they have a more crisp feel than the original and feel great, especially if you're sensitive to those types of things. I really really want to get a lite but I'm concerned of the analog drift and not being able to repair/replace it easily. It's so pretty tho *____*
To be honestly I’m the type of person that loves playing consoles made for one person so this is perfect for me. I also don’t want anything too big so the size is perfect as well. I can’t wait to buy this!

I like the way they are going with this by phasing out the 3DS line. Then have the regular switch as a home console and the new lite as the mobile replacement and they both play switch games perfect 👌🏻
Had the switch for years and I don’t think I’ve ever docked it before. I use my PS5 or series S for the TV and switch for bedroom/taking a shit/on the go gaming

Buying a lite was the best choice I’ve ever made. I adored the 3DS and have always wanted the perfect handheld since the psp and psp go so it was perfect for me.
Tbh It depends on your personal preference. In my opinion I choose the switch lite because it’s a lot cheaper, and you can play most games on It. Also to note it’s alot less hassle to get everything setup (except the part were you need to make a new account if you new to Nintendo) plus people who have a console don’t need another one I’m choosing the lite end off.

watch some teardown videos of the switch lite. I think its not that hard to replace the joystick but still it would be a hassle.
I bought a NDS Lite and I love it. Feel so good when playing game on it. Nice weight and size in my hands. :)
FYI - Gyroscope does work on the Switch Lite for games like Splatoon 2 where you can aim with motion controls.

I like the way they are going with this by phasing out the 3DS line. Then have the regular switch as a home console and the new lite as the mobile replacement and they both play switch games perfect 👌🏻
Had the switch for years and I don’t think I’ve ever docked it before. I use my PS5 or series S for the TV and switch for bedroom/taking a shit/on the go gaming
It's like having a 3ds but they removed its core feature that made it unique. Now the switch is a psp.

Buying a lite was the best choice I’ve ever made. I adored the 3DS and have always wanted the perfect handheld since the psp and psp go so it was perfect for me.

Tbh It depends on your personal preference. In my opinion I choose the switch lite because it’s a lot cheaper, and you can play most games on It. Also to note it’s alot less hassle to get everything setup (except the part were you need to make a new account if you new to Nintendo) plus people who have a console don’t need another one I’m choosing the lite end off.

I bought a nintendo DSI XL when it first came out, I still play it a few times a week. I just bought a nintendo switch lite a week ago, I love it. awesome handheld system, All my friends my age are buying the switch lite. I like the portability, The games that are available are fantastic.
