My friend Jesse who marshalled the first day at st.Lawrence got woken up by Rick Clunn at that quiet boat launch as he slept in his truck. When Jesse went out and said "hey Rick good luck" Rick said " sorry to wake you". Just him and Rick and not a single person in sight. What a surreal way to wake up by such a legend 😂

Although it wouldn’t change him or have him acting any differently, he’s fully aware of what he represents to the fishing world. The one thing I regret was never to be able to meet this man and shake his hand! Some people laugh I have an article it is probably over 30 years old that Rick did for a magazine that described how to break down a lake in three sections. And then do that process in each cove or arm of that body of water! To this day, I still have that article and the closer the season gets after winter is over that article comes out and I read it multiple times and share it with my children who actually fish with me religiously. The internet made it something it never was! Anglers chirp each other. They do it fun fishing and they also do it on the Elites. It’s all good, thanks for watching

I have to agree, Rick Clunn seemed to be a quite bad ass angler. I love the great Rick Clunn even more.

I have zero interest in throwing gas on drama between two anglers. That’s not the kind of show or life I live.
I clearly could have had the Johnston’s on this week’s podcast but I thought Rick deserved his moment. I will have the bros on in a couple of weeks and we will have a whole different conversation. It will be good we plan to do it in the same location and those are always better episodes

@@factsoffishing Zero interest…., you let Cory call him an Ewok and didn’t even try to stop the conversation when he said he was going to pay Gee a visit. You brought Watson on to get the drama and juice too. So saying this show isn’t about that is not true. What you should be doing is advocating for the Anglers to stop paying 45k in entry fees only to be censored because BASS leadership sucks. Then maybe you bring on the leadership of bass and let them explain why they suck so bad, why they bad mouthed veteran anglers at the junior HS championship and why they ran Zona off. Say what you want Zona didn’t retire he got tired of the BS at bass.

@@JC04three0 I really think you need to get your facts straight. Ewok was a harmless chirp, that actually started on BassLive. I have never had Watson on this podcast ever. Seems you are looking for something this show has never been. Please find happiness and stop searching for hate.
