I'm 65 and tournament fishing for 46 years. I first found BASS magazine in '74 when Rick started on the trail. I'm honored to have seen him in is rookie year. My life in bass fishing has never been without him! And his words of wisdom are still out there with me in every tournament that I still fish!

The one thing I regret was never to be able to meet this man and shake his hand! Some people laugh I have an article it is probably over 30 years old that Rick did for a magazine that described how to break down a lake in three sections. And then do that process in each cove or arm of that body of water! To this day, I still have that article and the closer the season gets after winter is over that article comes out and I read it multiple times and share it with my children who actually fish with me religiously. Rick Clunn in my eyes is the true Godfather of bass fishing! Godspeed Mr.Clunn

You brought Watson on to get the drama and juice too. So saying this show isn’t about that is not true. What you should be doing is advocating for the Anglers to stop paying 45k in entry fees only to be censored because BASS leadership sucks. Then maybe you bring on the leadership of bass and let them explain why they suck so bad, why they bad mouthed veteran anglers at the junior HS championship and why they ran Zona off. Say what you want Zona didn’t retire he got tired of the BS at bass.
