That is until 2017 when YKW took office and suspended the refugee program in its entirety. So there’s yer sign. You seem to care so much about Syrian refugees yet it seems you have no understanding of their plight and how the effects of the trump administration which blocked resettlement of these people. When the program reopened, Trump actually set a record of the lowest refugee admissions since 1980 when Congress created the refugee resettlement program. Affecting in particular, the Syrian refugees. Well boy howdy, ain’t that somethin’ to be proud of. As a result, the US no longer lead the world in humanitarian efforts. Do you understand? Under the trump admin, less and less refugees were allowed to enter the US so-called safe haven and even tho the ceiling was lowered, many less people were allowed in. And interestingly enough, the majority of those refugees who were admitted were Christian, not the religions of 90% Syrian people, the majority being Sunni Islam. (And I know some will jump on that because some Syrians are Christian however only about 10% so the approximation is still accurate.). Again...there’s yer sign. So it seems your outrage is misplaced. But maybe nothing will make you care about that. 🤔
