No-one deserves to have a billion dollars. No-one. No matter what you do. The fact that people have hundreds they couldn't spend in a lifetime is just obscene. It's off someone who needs to eat to someone who didn't even notice.
Yeah - cause creating a world changing company that you most definitely use multiple times a year (if not more frequently) doesn't deserve any credit. And spoiler alert, Amazon actually DOES pay taxes. All sorts of taxes. Employment taxes, FICA, Social security (employer portion), all of its employees pay income tax on their earnings, property taxes, state and local taxes. It doesn't pay "income tax" because it invests its profits back into the business - because that's how growing a business works. If you have no income to tax, you can't tax it. If you were taxed on money that was reinvested into your business you would have negative cash flow and your growth would disappear. You'd be unable to sustain your business, unable to employ people and unable to keep your company. If you're on a PC writing that comment, I'd imagine you're also conveniently forgetting Bill Gates is the REASON you're able to do so. Not to mention he's one of the largest philanthropists in the world. As is Bezos.
How do you people not understand the basic math of taxes or economics, yet continue to drone on about how terrible capitalism is from your iPhone while a literal decamillionaire, if not more (Colbert), pretends to be on your side? It's fascinating. I'm vaccinated.., and yet I will still continue to wear my mask. Especially in Public areas where I'm surrounded by strangers in close quarters. Forever. Being a guy who can appreciate cleanliness, ( a burden of intellect I believe ), over my 40 years of life being unfortunately forced to use Public restrooms from time to time. The number of people who don't even rinse let alone wash their hands is disturbing. To include stores where you acquire merchandise, ( or in layman's description ), stores where you know they are going to touch many items most likely with a high probability of putting some back, let alone one of those push carts.
Forest fires, heat domes, cities flooded, half the continent covered in pollution haze... and he's taking a joy ride to space.

I’ve collected injured and badly burnt koalas and kangaroos and got them to wildlife careers after massive bushfires destroyed the eucalyptus forests very near to where I live. I have helped clean up after two floods with my own hands, help people evacuate, worked with a team to clear beaches of rubbish and taken fishing line off from around the neck of a green sea turtle.I do the grunt work, he spares some pocket change which he will make back next week. Most of the people complaining will still probably buy something on Amazon this week or at the very least have an Amazon prime subscription. I saw a post on Reddit that had a comment which got thousands of likes. The comment was about how the commenter knew someone that used to manufacture and sell a very popular item on Amazon, I can’t remember what the item was. Anyway this person was getting so many sales for this item that Amazon took notice and got their own team to recreate that item and once they did, they banned the original seller of the item from selling on Amazon and started creating the item in very large quantities and selling it themselves on Amazon. So they essentially stole his product idea and booted him off Amazon. The comments to that comment was full of angry people upset at how immoral Amazon are and how evil they were to do what they did. I just thought to myself, I bet a good chunk of the people commenting about how bad Amazon are for doing what they did still have an Amazon subscription and wouldn’t cancel it and they probably shop on Amazon a lot too for that 1 day or even same day delivery. They know damn well that Amazon exploit workers massively to be able to offer the 1 day or same day delivery but they don’t care enough to cancel their subscription. They just want their item and they want right now. They’ll comment on videos highlighting the exploitation of the workers to say how awful it is, but they’ll keep finding that exploitation and making the higher ups at Amazon (especially Bezos) richer and richer

The origin of this Pandemic is of zero interest for the people threatened by it, it would have been interesting for the researchers but gladly the latter got a vaccine ready non the less.
