Hi Keith. This looks absolutely delicious.
Haggis isn't common here in Australia, but it is available at selected delicatessens.
The secret to a good firm pattie is a Dry mash. Don't add butter or milk and 'Smash It', not mash it!
Wrap the patties in cling film and place in the Freezer for 1/2 hour to firm up. Works a treat.
Another top recipe today Keith 🤤👍😀
Cheers
Cheers for the tip mate
Haggis is a great alternative to mince in almost any recipe. Haggis Bolgonese, Haggis lasagne and Haggis Shepherds pie are all outstanding, just follow your regular recipe for these just switching the mince for haggis it just adds an extra twist to already good food.
Thanks for that
I think they'd work out better if they were left to cool down and put in the fridge over night so as to harden up a bit like you would with fish cakes
I Agree
Great idea this! I love this time of year, cos you get weird haggis recipes popping up all over the place and there's a little factory just along the road from us 😁
Haggis, neeps and tattles , perfect, no need for anything other than gravy👍. You can also microwave haggis, minus skin.
Haggis is delicious, i agree
look like fancy haggic pakora, being a scot, we can have haggis on everything, pizza...even made Haggis lasagne which is awsome.
Yummy mate
Never had haggis but they do look good. Maybe use an egg to bind the meat, potato and swede then fry in the frying pan rather than deep fry,
For burns night Im having a large kebab with sauce and salad out the chipy because " Inclusivity" and Diversity are apparently a good thing 😂😂
It's weird how these types of channels attract gammon
Southern fried haggis lol sound's interesting and 😋
It was nice Celestial lol
That looked delicious, could I do the same with black pudding if I can't get haggis ?
Yes
Good job mate but next time put in the freezer for an hour holds together better mate
Maybe try it in pastry if you want a pastie, also it may have been better mixing the egg in as you do with burgers, just a thought though Keith.
Well done Keith. We had our burns night on the Monday as like you we were busy on the Wednesday. God bless you 🏴🙏 xx.
Thank you Shazza
Well you got it right mate up in Scotland here we have tatties turnup an haggis or you guys call it a swede lol
Cheers mate
Freeze the patties for 24hrs then coat and fry them the next day
Good idea Dom
I absolutely love haggis.. love from India 🇮🇳♥️
HI p
They look really tasty, don't know till you try love.
Good idea that OFG, swede does hold the water though doesn’t it xx
It does San. Should of let them dry out
Love haggis, with turnip, so tasty, keep up with your experiment keith, hope you and nat are well 😊😊😊
Thank you Jennifer

Cheers Kelly
Love deep fried haggis Keith. Cracking one 👍🏻👍🏻😊
Cheers mate
HAGGIS. It’s something I’ve always been scared to try I heard it was sheep innards. 😮
I was the same mate. Try it
Why would the sheep innards be any scarier to eat than the other parts of the animal that you are already eating?
@@24magiccarrot that’s true. Just seems kinda gross. Would you eat a testicle?
Keith Ur a legend brilliant 🤣
Cheers Kirstie
Look really nice, I’ve never tried haggis.
lol just like a fish cake without the fish you kill me
Next time no butter or milk in the mash
I think so to mate
Egg first then the flour butty..love ya Keith

Taken from the poem, ‘Lines Written in Friars’ Carse Hermitage’, this quote reminds us of just how short life is.
While many of us will live to a ripe old age, when you look back at the years that have passed, you could feel as if it has all gone in the blink of an eye.
This quotation from Burns reminds us that life can feel like just a day, and to make the most of each day as if it were your last. It is easy to become caught up in the stressors of life, but in 2023, Burns could inspire you to live life to the fullest every day.
100% mate
Mmmmm they look really nice just eat that right now great video as always 👍
Looked fab to me my husband made us liver and onions and mash and gravy the other day and I had toothache but my god was absolutely beautiful and good for ya
Nothing worse then toothache Lindsey. Hope it gets better soon
was it a wild haggis or farmed lol
i like the haggis slow fried it pan with bacon on top to stop it spitting and fried egg full English with sliced haggis fried
Never tried haggis like that before but I might now they looked good if you like that haggis try a Mcsweens I think their haggis is lovely and it's an original one made with lamb I think that one you used Keith has beef in it but they looked really nice.
What was the pizza Nat had? The £1.50 frozen ones from Asda are nice and Icelands as well.
Looked pretty decent . You really try some new stuff don’t you OFG.
I do mate lol
Hi Keith I have never tried haggis but willing to could you tell me where you bought yours it did look nice 👍🏻
I got mine in Sainsbury's
@@kirstie7187 thank you I not got a Sainsbury's the nearest is about 2 hours away so I will have a look at Tesco or Morrisons
@@JJ-gp4th it's in most supermarkets because of burns night but not really the rest of the year good luck 🍀
Thanks Kirsty
Keith they look tasty but l don't like haggis Lol love to Nat ♥️♥️♥️😘
some boy
Great Idea.... I'm thinking Swap the Haggis for Quality Sausage meat and add herbs n spices to your taste.... I'm not gonna try that.
Thanks for the upload
NOT is a Typo....
Also..... SHALLOW FRY Would be better I think.
Haggis not for me I once tried it at a pub in 1980 they were having a burns night I thought it tasted a bit like sawdust never touched it since. Maybe if you had made your haggis in breadcrumbs a bit smaller they would have turned out better or just shallow fry them its all trial and error as you well know
Thank you mate
Shouldnt it have been turnips with haggis??
Nah, it's a bit confusing but here in Scotland we call a "Swedish turnip" or swede a "neep" or turnip. Probably be easier if everyone called it rutabaga but that sounds a bit American to me 😆
you put too much butter in the potatoes and swede.
I think so to mate
I don't like Haggis keith I have tried it but not for me my partner loves Haggis he will have it for his tea tomorrow we've got Haggis in I hadn't realised it was burns night tomorrow watching your vlog reminded me we've got friends in Scotland they will be having Haggis neeps & tatties tomorrow that was a good idea making a Haggis burger 🍔 it did look good I hope Nat enjoyed her pizza & kebab I take it Nat don't like Haggis
Good attempt but you should have piped the haggis in first it love's music.🤭
