I like to have my potato in the stew but it's personal preference also other veg to bulk it out and suet dumplings if you want to go all out love your vids your so down to earth and its refreshing entertainment 👍
Guinness and beef stew I reckon god eats too! Yes keeping the ingredients simple is best, I use 2 cups of Guinness or a Stout. I prefer Steamed potatoes on the side and crusty bread drizzled with olive oil for a healthier option. Absolutely delicious Keith. Cheers 🤤😀👍
Looks awesome as always but if coat the beef in seasoned flour before and get it golden brown prior to taking out, this helps with the Maillard reaction (which is the beef caramelising for flavour, it does make a big difference) and helps thickening it. Also if you want it thicker towards the end (as its hard to predict how much flour you need) just mix some cornflour with water and pour a bit in a simmer it for 5 mins.
You need to learn how to make dumplings. And i always add potatoes to stew to thicken it up, no flour seperately, only whats from the dumplings. And i make enough for a few days worth, as it tastes better the next day.
That's amazing Keith. How long do you boil the potatoes? Are they half cooked then the oven? They looked good! Yeah, I have creamy marg' on the bread! Ruple.
Yeah Lamb is expensive, all to do with the French demands for it which put the market prices sky high. I live in Wales and the the price for Welsh Lamb is astronomical. It’s a luxury these days.
oh yes i love a good beef and ale but i do slow cooker one can for the pot one for me lol and dumplings and crusty breed or beef in red wine with baby oinos and mushrooms and carrots you can also get Guinness in a packet sauce never tried it but seen it in tesco but i think it maybe a lil salty also if you grate carrot it adds to the sweetness if you have a shuger intolerance i am a tryp 1 diabetic so i got to be a bit careful
Hi guys love watching all the food you cook that stew looked amazing and your roast potatoes nice and crunchy a few doughballs would have gone down a treat as well especially home made ones.
That looks amazing mate. You should try Jamie olivers steak, Guinness and cheese pie recipe. It's lovely. And it's the only recipe he doesn't drench in oil 😉
Keith that looks delicious the roast potatoes are perfect l could eat that now well gonna eat packet crisps and snickers not the same sending love to Nat ♥️♥️♥️😋😋😘
Please does this Asda Multicooker have varied saute setting some models if you tap twice you can choose saute/low saute, or its the +/- after saute tap.?? Why don't you use air fryer for roasters.
I like pale/light ale, I buy a single bottle. Just wondering why you don't use Pressure cooker to quick pare boil pots at start, like you did for dumplings, maybe manual/ 0 setting( I haven't got my Pressure cooker yet, just old aluminium one that is badly dented, so not clear what wud do pare boiling)
For the 2nd time in a row for some reason your mobile phone is interrupting the video starting at 16 minutes 18 seconds into the video for a few seconds, you can hear it making that noise when a phone receives a text or a call and it interferes with the frequency of the microphone signal making it distorted slightly, it happened on one of your videos the other day as well, I did rewind the video to double check and it was definitely on your video so you might want to check that??
Somone once told me if you drink enough guinness your next poo will be green!. Could you imagine that old food guy dropping a meanie greeny! 😂😂 anyway in all seriousness id like to see you try make some beer battered onion rings from scratch use plain flour a beer of your choice dip and deep fry guarantee you they come out loverly!.
This looked absolutely delicious 😋 you are a good cook no doubt about it, I’ve got a King Pressure Pro not used it for over a year, this has inspired me to make this guiness stew and blow the cobwebs off it 😁 xx
I had kingpro couldn’t fathom it out, one day half way through cooking, I ripped it out and threw the lot in bin 😂😂 never got the hang of it, as this one looks easy peasy to operate.
Keith you are becoming a natural in the Kitchen Mate, again you smashed it as That Stew looked absolutely Stunning Like your Nat Lol 😍, what more can you ask for on Winter days than to have a delicious Hearty Meal like this, it fills every spot and love i Vegetables Chunky and Your Roasties are Banging, top marks once again 👍👍👍 some of these Kitchen gadgets now are out of this world, amazing results
What a lovely family.
Nat always says thank you for food made for her by her husband.
Looks really good! I’m planning on making stew tonight and remembered you’d made a video on it. I’m going to try it with soy chunks instead of meat
I like to have my potato in the stew but it's personal preference also other veg to bulk it out and suet dumplings if you want to go all out love your vids your so down to earth and its refreshing entertainment 👍
Cheers mate. I don't like spuds in mine
@@itskeithnNat same here Keith. Spuds in lamb stew, but not beef.
Another option would be to cut the potato into quarters and cook in the pot with the stew and add some parsnips.
Don't like potatoes in there mate
Fair enough but you mentioned Irish stew and that is how they do it.
Id much prefer a beef stew over lamb.
And cheaper mate
You’re right leaving out the peas. Irish stew doesn’t have peas.
Looks delicious just the thing for a cold night x
Thank you Valerie
That looked delicious, another meal on my to make list 😋
Glad you enjoyed it ASBED
Nice one Keith.
I usually put potatoes in with the stew. As well as wine instead of beer. Will try this one.
Thanks for your efforts
Another excellent video kieth I would say cornflour should be mixed with cold water for a smoother texture
This is the business Keith, love meals like this, crusty bread aswell, can't go wrong.10 out 10
Thank you Shirley
