Super easy torp build. Fill all weapons slots on a science ship with torps, crank your weapon power all the way down, push your aux power all the way up and do some space wizardry.
Something worth noting... Mudd's Secret Intel Bundle. All of the ships are good, but the Na'Qjej Intel Battlecruiser and Son'a Intel Battlecruiser are the meta traits you want for torps. During a 50% off sale (we likely won't ever get 75% again), you're looking at roughly $50 a ship. Super expensive, but not much more so than buying master keys to sell, and the bonus here is that the ships come account unlocked, rather than per character.
Love this video, thanks for putting it out. With The Boimler Effect being fairly affordable now, you may be able to change the Lt Cdr Eng to a Lt Cdr Sci and add in a gravity well.
A few thoughts : If this is another series of guides that you plan to (maybe) do , then like with your previous guide series, this can be the "Beginners" phase of the guide , with an "Advanced" part to follow . If this won't turn into a series , I would still suggest (if you're looking for video topics) to do a "Top 5 Ships" for Torp builds -- something that could perhaps be expanded to a Top 10 , with a section dedicated to F2P / budget crowd , and another section dedicated to the best in game , which are usually Premium ships .
And to boost the interaction for the algorithm gods, I'll put my question in a separate post here : With "the more debuff the better" in mind , if I slot Let it Go , and have the Cold Hearted ship Trait , can I forgo APB 1 , or does APB 1 outclass the above combo ? I've started using 1 torp in front on builds in the last couple of years, but that sometimes meant leaving APB off a build , so I'm wondering if the combo mentioned above can make up for the debuff loss ?

@MC Stu, You are using Aux2Bat but don't you require an emergency ability to make use of that? Also if you use Aux2Bat won't it strip power from the Destabilizing Resonance Beam?
I am running 2 copies of Aux2Bat on my spam bar. Also, you are correct, I have loosing some damage from stripping power from Aux on the resonance beam, but the res beam is just filler, it still does some damage but since the build is not focused around sci boff abilities no need to boost it in anyway.
@MC Stu, You didn't explain in the video what "Sybspacial Warheads" does. (26:44). All you said was it's a high-priority trait and that it's the main damage source for the build. I would have liked for you to have gone over what it did exactly for the build as you seemed to just brush that detail right off as if it wasn't important. I saw you go into this type of detail for the other parts of the build and felt that if your going to do so for one part, then you should do it for all parts. That, and I don't really follow how it's the primary source without that info cause you didn't mention it.

I am new to the game, and what would really help me, is a better understanding of how to play as a team. I am playing together with 3 friends, and the dialogues, how to do things in missions and how to all go to the same mission start, is really confusing. Some things also seem to plainly not work. For example, on the S.S. Azura, during Act of Defiance in the Stranded in Space mission, we were able to perform parts of the special Science and Engineering missions, to heal crew and contain the warp core, but they would not complete and we could not figure out why.
one correction, the morphogenetic console gives weapon dmg vs enemys in YOUR rear 90 arc, so if enemys are behind YOU you do more dmg vs them with weapons, its not a flanking addition.
@@MCStu ps shields on ground is very easy, go to morphegenetic set mission "home" get to ground part, the first room has a plasma fire stand inside, have 4 eng boffs heal your shields, done in 3 minutes. and if you leave at this spot in mission next time you can start at this same spot without having to do the space part, its also good to grind heal on ground. the plasma fire there does like 500 dps, so its very effective to kill you= lots of heal from 4 boffs. btw if you about to die in that plasma fire because ur 4 boffs cant heal fast enough, step back^^.
Some decent info from this BUT, there are (from what I've been able to find) only 2 ships in STO that could come close to replicating this build. The one you used and the Section 31 Command Heavy Battlecruiser (both very rare ships). So the video is of limited use. The problems with torp builds are first you want a fast & maneuverable ship with at least a Lt Cdr Command seat, This is a HUGE problem if you do not have the ship you use. Most ships with Command Seating are NOT fast or maneuverable. Next to even come close to getting the traits needed you have to sink a TON of cash. I just wish someone would put out a video with a torp build that didn't cost ton's of cash or years in game to have collected most of the gear/traits used. Just to pick up the traits i lack ( 2 ships to buy) it would cost around 3 Billion EC. Add in the consoles it's closer to 4 billion EC. Please make a video that DOES NOT INCLUDE 2 ,1 Billion EC ships and multiple 50 million ec traits. Every one of these torp build video's are similar. You all act like the gear/traits/ships needed is easy to get when that is FAR from the truth for 99% of the players of STO.

Thanks, I don't really like the Temer, personal choice. I'd been sitting on ZEN for quite a while, The last ship I purchased was the temporal battle cruiser, meh. I used some of the ZEN on the Gamma Vanguard Pack, I don't think it's on sale. So I have these Cardassian and Jem'Hadar ships now, been wanting do do a Torp Build on one of them, this helps. I'm not spending any more $'s on STO, I need to spend a day doing inventory across my main Toons. Depressing to see some of the stuff I've upgraded to epic, don't know what I was thinking. Did you do a Basic Science Video? Every time I start building one, it gives me a headache, someone referred to it as the STO wizard build. Side note, the BOFFS in the pack remind me of the Superior Romulan BOFFs you did a vid on. The biggest difference is the +5 to Weapon Dmg, vs. The Cloak Recharge.

Procing Cold Hearted is much more beneficial then using Let it Go. I would not replace APB with it.
I also have a Temer for my KDF Toon but I can't find that vanity shield. Which shield is that? Love the channel BTW. Beat STO channel out there!
With is the Discovery box vanity shield.

Qugh-class Miracle Worker Battlecruiser because it has a cloak.
Can the home reward can you only have the set once I have it on one build but I can’t seem to have it again for another build
You can get the set multiple times, but you can just put it on multiple ships and save the loadouts. No need to have more then one set.

I know it won't amount to much but why Dist wide angle and not the Phaser variant which would be getting boosted by the Gamma console
For the 3 pc bonus, it compliments this build very well.

What’s the benefit of the spire tac consoles instead of the colony ones
Spire gives crit (DPS) and colony hull regen (survivability).

Would you swap the morphogenic set for the tholian console/nukara mine?
I would only consider that if you have the Tarren Goodbye trait, other wise you need the morphogenic set for the crit.

Honestly i've done more damage with a terran photon torpedoed. Tested the morph set and doesn't do as much damage as my budget build.
How much are you doing with it?
You need a class in reading comprehension. It is NOT bonus damage for rear of the target, its for targets in your rear 90 deg.
