Those ground nurse doffs were a hot topic for a while in the pvp community, we all thought the bugged ones stopped dropping years ago. Interesting that they still do... too bad I'm mainly kdf and they only drop fed side! Great video as always.
Temporal Agent Barrett and Neal Falconer also have great traits for DOFF missions (e.g. ones that give you temporary buffs). So if you don't really need their meager active duty bonuses, don't slot them and rather use them for DOFF missions instead. After all, you might want those ground slots for actual ground combat buffing DOFFs, too.
Ah yes, hull regen, a legacy from the days when "crew" was a ship stat determining how fast your ship could repair. Mine always died immediately in combat then came back to life. My understanding (which may not be fact - game mechanics have changed a lot from back when I learned them) is that Hull Regen is a modifier to Hull Repair which is capped at 50% of total hull points per second with a 100% hull repair stat. Hull Regen improves the effectiveness of hull repair so if you have a 70% hull repair a +20% hull regen gives you an effective 84% hull repair rate which translates as 42% of your hull being repaired every second. And the way procs get skipped when the game derps out, as it frequently does, you may be waiting up to five seconds to see any hull repair at all.
Honestly, am not too familiar with the exact hull regen mechanics, not looked into them closely enough. But that really wouldn't surprise me. Thanks for the info!
On console the nurses do show up as ground. We get a preview of their traits. I've never had a reason to buy these. They go for 300+ mil for a rare one. I'd rather buy another ship if I'm spending that much EC. Anyways great vid good info as always although I already knew about all of it lol.

People play STO at all levels exploiting bugs all the time. That’s a personal choice. Good of Spencer to espouse an anti-exploit point-of-view and holding to it with the DPS boards.
You can get the nurse from the fleet vendor too, where you pay fleet credits for a random doff. I received one (space nurse) a few days ago this way and had never seen one of these nurses before. Didn't know they were so valuable. But something else is reporting bugs. I have been trying to report bugs in several venues and always detailed and friendly. However, I never seem to get anywhere with that. Would you perhaps do videos about them since you have a far better connection to Cryptic? The bug in question concerns two traits. The Jarok trait Backup Shield Batteries and the Nobel trait Trauma Response. The former is supposed to fully restore a shield facing, the latter to give you additional shield capacity. In both cases the calculations are based on the shield array itself and ignore all additional sources of shield capacity. E.g. the shield array has 20,000 hitpoints and we have consoles that give additional 50% for a total of 30,000 hitpoints. When the Jarok trait is triggered it only restores 20,000. And when the Nobel trait is triggered it only adds 5% of 20,000, not of the 30,000. At max the Nobel trait should give 50% additional capacity, which is substantial. I tried this on my Oberth and ramped up my shield capacity to 90k. With the Nobel trait at max however I barely scratched 100k. When a shield facing was depleted and the Jarok trait was triggered 15k of my 90k capacity was restored. Auggie always says shields are useless in this game. And to a degree he is right. Still Cryptic gives us more and more shield stuff recently. Fixing these two traits would really get shields from a shitty place to a less shitty place. Unfortunately there is no category for this on your discord otherwise I would posted it there.

But only do so when you have a write up on it with steps they can use to reproduce the issue themselves.

The best you'll typically see are Aux2Bat tech doffs or warfare specialist that may be worth a few million EC. Most you get will have very little value.

I want to personally thank you for raising the stock value of the ground nurse with that space trait...I made a hefty profit after this video came out ...love it..anyway I truly hope shedding light on these kind of exploits that are in the game get rid of them.. and if it doesn't atleast the common player has a chance to also capitalize on these exploits Aswell and use them to the fullest extent as it is the developers burden to keep these things from happening...if it's there players will abuse it.you made this video to play damage control (as expected) because you know this exploit existed ..it doesn't make you a righteous person coming across saying what you said in this video ..what it does do though is show people it's a sensitive subject and obviously struck a nerve enough to warrant making a video lol ...you understood the assignment..good job! ruclips.net/video/VwH4VGL2pFc/видео.html

Agreed, its the sum of all the small gains and missing slots puts a cap on top damage potential.

I have billions of fleet marks, not worth the time to spend them. Any valuable doffs drop from Fleet Doff Boxes?
