WOW, great timing!!! I just added these to my wish list on Amazon. Wasn't sure which one to go with but it looks like the bigger one is better for what I need. I need room for a 4"x30' flat strap 3"x8' tree saver, my 30' kinetic rope, soft shackles, d links, synthetic recovery ring, gloves, flashlight and strobing pod lights. Too bad it doesn't have a more rugged bottom though. Something like offroad tire tread on the bottom would be ideal. Maybe they'll see this vid and improve the design a bit. Should share the vid with them for feedback from a customer's perspective.
Thanks for the advice you give on everything. I'm new to overlanding and learning from you. Q: you have a video on how and what you use to enjoy your camping experience, such as music. How does one listen to music or get possibly some bars of internet. Thank you.
Two diff answers: Music is easy...we usually use a Bluetooth speaker. The one we use is fr Bose and puts out pretty loud sound Re Internet, if there's no signal there's no signal. Can't do anything about it. BUT you can buy the WeBoost (it's pretty pricey tho) and if there's even just ONE bar available at your location, it will amplify that signal and get you more bars. BUT there has to be a signal present already (which is near to impossible sometimes in the mountains)
I have the large bag. How are your zippers holding up? I cut off the metal portion of the zipper pulls off because they seem like they bent easily and just put the cord directly on the zipper like a lot of bags are designed to be anyway.
Holding up really good so far! I have the Maxtrax bag now for my Maxtrax recovery gear kit but I use these bags for other things now like inflator and such
You can price it out and decide. Reason I didn't do that was because I already had the recovery gear. Just needed a bag. One thing to consider though is if you buy the whole kit, everything in it is from the same company whereas my snatch block and my D shackles are not ARB. My snatch block is much cheaper at around $30 and the shackles were a gift from a friend.
I'd save the $75-$100 and spend that on actual recovery gear. I'm not a huge fan of buying something because it has cool branding. It's a good video though. He has well produced videos for sure.

Love your vids. I learn a lot!
Do you also carry another bag with your compressor as well?
I had a regular air compressor that sucked. I'm getting some on board ones now fr TJM
Those are some good looking bags.
They really are. I almost feel bad they'll get roughed up haha
I"m dying over the topo underwear contours... 🤣
Hahahah finally someone picked up on that joke
Is it better to buy a recovery kit already put together or buy piece by piece and build it yourself ?
