- N24YS is probably the oldest flying Gulfstream in the United States at this time. Built in 1968 with a C/N# of just 16, this GII-B spends its time in Northern California where it is based. Here you’ll see it arrive and depart in classic old school Gulfstream fashion with @FlyWithOwen at the controls! Enjoy the sound of the Rolls-Royce Speys as they climb via the John Wayne noise abatement procedure.
Welp, that jet looks better at 55 than I ever did I'll tell ya that much! 🤣
What a beautiful looking plane.
That distinctive Spey whine on approach was a huge part of my youth while living next to DCA in the 80s. I miss is so
Smokiest private jet ever
Old and impressive......
Heck yeah
Noise Abatement is so stupid. Let the Speys sing!
Sounds like a fighter jet.
I bet those are JT8D
lol No
Rolls Royce speys.
Absolutely gorgeous ❤❤
Thank you 👍 always a treat when they go ‘smoke on’
Sucks that a United 737 completely ruined my video thanks to the tower making him cross 20R and hold short on Bravo.
Should’ve let him go first or let the GII go first. Pissed me off. And to make matters worse, there was absolutely no traffic behind the GII on Bravo nor traffic behind United on Lima. It’s almost like tower did it on purpose just to fuck my video up.
too bad there isnt an affordable solution for slapping on a pair of newer turbofans
This planes are getting rarer and rarer
Another epic catch
WOW... wonderful...👍👍💖💖💖
