Please keep making Gulfstream videos! I love every second of it. As a tech who works on the G650, there is a sense of pride working on these planes. They are amazing machines.
So jealous. Most beautiful planes currently flying (Concorde takes the ultimate prize).
He'll get to them for sure, on his Russian channel he covered pretty much all of them so it's just a matter of fact before English versions of his Russian videos will be uploaded.
you probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Santino Kalel instablaster ;)
Old A and P here. I worked in Savannah on G1 G2 and G3 Aircraft, in the Service Center. Good Luck to you.
My first type rating was on the G-II/B. I flew the G-II, II/SP, and II/B and III from 2000-2006. I never flew the tip tank version. Now 20 years later, I'm typed on the CL604/605, DA50 (Falcon 900B), DA7X, and Lear 60/60XR. Currently flying the Falcon 7X.
Great video (as usual). Quite a photogenic aircraft judging by the number of movie clips!
Being younger in aviation I have never been able to work or fly on a G-II or G-III. I love the G-450 though I have worked on them and flew them! Gulfstream makes great products!
Great video but it blew my mind a 8:55 when the thrust reversers came out a couple of seconds before touching down 0.0
Thank you for all the effort you put in to your videos, Sky. They are a *must watch* on my list and are always very well researched and presented. Looking forward to he next one.
Great video Sky. Love the quality of your work.
He really took his game up a notch!!
In 1987 I was a Reno/Tahoe limousine driver. Another limo and mine would park on the tarmac at Reno Jet Center, as one of Allen Nueharth's FIVE G-2's would taxi up to us. Mr Nueharth controlled Gannet Publications. He started the Newspaper USA Today with his own money. Up to his four story mansion high above Lake Tahoe.
Ive had the privilege of taking care of all versions of the Gulfstream series aircraft. My favorite is the GIII.
Best AC I ever flew ... all analog no AT/THR, noisy, and so soooo powerfull. I have a picture somewhere of us passing FL430 with 2500"/min climb rate ... probably the greatest AC outhere, if you have the oportunity, go for it.
Outstanding! Please keep 'em coming. Especially the Gulfstream series.
I love this Aircraft company, Great video my friend.
I like the fact that your information answers questions! Thank you!
Interesting story about the plane during the Space Shuttle program)
Flyer Killer. Another factoid about the NASA G -II is that they used cascade thrust reversers instead of the target type. They could be deployed in flight to simulate the sink characteristics of the Space Shuttle.
Ken Yes, interesting
I've always liked your videos. Pictures/video that matches what you're talking about, well researched and really good English but with an accent and little quirks, which I like lol
I’m a 747 pilot would you be interested in doing a collaboration?
Yes do a collab u 2. Love ur content from both of you. Premium quality content. 👍😁
The Flying Drumstick is another of my favorite aircraft. Idk i just love its look. Even though it looks like it just got finished scratching in the dirt for bugs. Then had some wings slapped on it & tossed in the air 😂.
Excellent, excellent, excellent video man. You are awesome. Thanks for doing these vids!
Great vid as always Sky!! 😀👍👍
Great video and very professional executive I love these gets
Quality and informative videos.....great work....Keep them coming please.
As a co-op student at Xerox around 1980, I had ride on Xerox's GII between White Plains and Rochester.
Great video! The GII/III are my all time favorite business jets. Great factual research, those noise restrictions really are bringing them down.
Fascinating video. Love the business jet content!
Great video as always sky!
Never a miss video you. Like the images and clips.
I was lucky enough to get to go on board a G lV and fuel it.
Just the wing on it ,allowing for max takeoff on short runways
you should do a video on the BAE.125/Hawker 700/800. It's a classic biz jet that a lot of people don't even know about.
Love the inclusion of Don Rickles and Sharon Stone from Casino. Thanks for another amazing video.
Great video!
Someday, even without airworthiness, I wanted GS II in my yard in country side.
It flew in the year I was born.
I need a video about the Saab 2000, what a beautiful plane and almost nobody knows about it
You can get a G2 fairly cheap now. Dated avionics, thirsty loud engine aside it is still built well.
Great job, once again. Hearing a GII or III takeoff was an awesome thing to witness. Loud and smokey.
Nice work!
Very happy to see you used a G II B for the thumbnail. I’ve always loved ugly planes. :) These videos are taking me back to my early years working the ramp. Keep up the good work!
That's a G II TT with the tip tanks. G2B is the greatest of them all, with the G3 wing and winglets
The deep stall (super stall) problem of these aircraft was due to design foolishness. It cost many test pilots lives. Two rear engine high T tailed aircraft that didn't have this problem were the VC-10 and IL-62 due to their high sweep and anti stall devices on the wing tips. The idea of the High T tail originates in WW2 with Hans Mullhops Focke-Wulf Ta 183 Jet fighter. This aircraft was designed as a 'tailless' aircraft with elevon control but the high T-tail was to be used for trimming purposes only. One reason for this position was to avoid shock wave impingement. By having enough sweep and by having anti stall measures at the tips (to overcome span wise flow and the premature tip stall it causes) the swept back wings provide sufficient forward pitch to overcome a super stall. The IL-62 and VC10 both used saw tooth leading edges about 70% wing position to generate a new flow or they had slats. Furthermore these aircraft also tend to stall their engines due to airflow blocking them so can not power out of a stall, they need engine auto light to restart the engines. The High T-tail was chosen to allow the rear engine layout and keep the body close to the ground for the purposes of avoiding stairways. It has many disadvantages but in the case of aircraft that need to be low to the ground it can work with anti stall software controls. Aircraft like the B27, BAC-111, F28, DC9 all had super stall issues because of a lack of sweep. They had stick pushers, a sort of MCAS.
William Jones-Halibut has
Great job!
be cool to see one with newer turbofans that are legal to fly in the US. New paint, interior, maybe some glass in the cockpit.
Thank you for doing a video about the G2. I've heard, they had to go into reverse thrust in flight in order to simulate the space shuttles flight envelope. Is there any truth to this?
Yes. Google Gulfstream space shuttle simulator aircraft.
When is the md-80 video coming?
yeah the series of the dc-9 need the video
I love the MD-80/DC-9 series. I hope he does a video on them.
Also the Il-62!!! Come on, Skyships!!!
Great video mate.
nice work. keep it up
Thank you for your videos...
Speaking of JH-7, that is a very important part of Chinese military aircraft industry, and I think it’s worth being talked about,
I still have the Gulfstream 2 brochure from its world demo flight.
She looks really nice....
thanks skype i do not miss your videos Spasiva
No offense but it's Sky not Skype and spasibo not spasiva.
@@TimkaD736 okay
That’s the whole point of classic aviation.. the noise from the engines. If you don’t like loud airplanes, then you truly aren’t an aviation enthusiast
The Gulfstream 1 looks almost identical to the HS 748.
Same solution: engine on top of the wing to give prop clearance, a pod underneath to stow the undercarriage so that it could be kept short. Fuel in the wings to either side.
So did many similarly configured aircraft at the time. NAMC YS-11 also shared similar features.
@@ahm_767 Forgot about the NAMC YS11
Love it good job
Perfect video as always, cheers!
I love this channel. ☺️❤️🤗
Great shot of a re-engined G2 (N900DH). How cost effective is re-engining a G2 ? The arrangement of the engines and large vertical stab to counter a stall condition is interesting to learn. Excellent Video !!!
Thanks
I work with private jet, so amazing can listen the history with Gulfstream
Looking nice.
10/10 video !!!!!!!!
It would be neat to do a video on the hawker 4000 horizon a very rear modern corporate jet on 75 made. Thanks for the videos
Getting better with each video. So is your English!
George Michael suggested the Name “Spey” for one of the worlds most famous aviation engines. Story here - www.duncanmichael.co.uk/page12.html
The Space Shuttle was such a bad glider that one of the adaptations NASA's Gulfstream received was the ability to engage reverse thrust in midair. Only with reverse thrust engaged the Gulfstream was capable of descending quickly enough to simulate the performance of the Space Shuttle.
I own a global 7500, but Im talking to airbus about a A220 to replace it
I've got a bike.
It's got a electric wheel.
@@Margarinetaylorgrease nice. I preordered the amg project one
@@FoxtrotStudi0s I've also got a cat.
She's all fluffy
@@Margarinetaylorgrease I own a teacup pig
Sad they didn’t make a Commercial Version, it might have been a nice Jet Commuter like the Yak 40
Will there be videos with the learjet series?
Does anybody know the name of the song in the background in the first several minutes of the video?
Why it is hard to re-engine the Gulfstream II? Seems like the thing to do to keep them relevant and still less expensive than a brand new corporate jet.
id love to have an engine from one of these
Wow Tnx bro good business ok thanks good
Having followed you into your world of aviation, is now confusing me , is it either Learjet or Gulfstream who dawned business jet?
I thought it was Lockheed Jetstar
There’s wiggle room on what “first” means
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_jet#1960s_first_flight
Thanks, it's just that interesting things got mixed up.
my plane is in here
Do a video on the Lockheed Jetstar
He already did
The G-1 with Orange strip belonged to Walt Disney Company.
Good ole Sperry SP50G…
8:40 I like how some gangster throws a woman onto a seat of this super comfortable plane :)
Yak-40?
Can you do a gaming stream or gaming video
No dislikes yet!
Still nyet dislikes! But how could there be?
First!
AlGore Special!...….One of the most fuel thirsty business jets flying today, yet, AlGore is caught flying on the G-II. "DO as I say, not as I do"...…"Private jets are for important people, like me!" You pee-ons can take the train, not even commercial airlines.".....
