This one is all about skate related terminology. Scoop, flick, nollie, sex change... what in the world are all these crazy words that skaters use? Hopefully I can help some new skaters to better understand these terms and more. This one is obviously aimed a bit more towards the brand new skaters!

Goofy has become the new regular..... weird
Goofy is named after the character goofy from Micky mouse, it is more common because most people are right foot dominant

So Basically ---
Goofy - Right foot forward
Regular - Left foot forward
Nollie - Normal stance but standing on your nose
Switch - Skating opposite of your normal stance
Fakie - Rolling backwards

I remember when I first started skating, I was like 9-10 at the time, I argued with some other kid saying that I rode goofy, I remember saying "there's nothing goofy about how I skate"

How does one get used to doing tricks while riding? I've already learned ollies, fingerflips, and bonelesses but when I try to do them moving I get like a mental block I and I end up not doing the trick.
A common problem for me too is when I Ollie while moving I end up doing that one freestyle trick that the Ollie was inspired off of. Any trick tips would be appreciated and great video!
I know it's cliche but the easiest way to get used to moving tricks is to practice. It might help to start moving slower than normal. The only tricks I learned standing still were Ollie and kickflip but those took me the longest to learn
I learned tre flip faster than I learned kickflip and I learned it movimg
Top Kekistani first off I suggest to any skater to learn every trick while moving because it'll be easier to do. And bro you just gotta commit and do the trick if you were doing it standing still. Or go really really slow and gradually go faster and faster. Good luck!
I found rolling at a curb with good speed and committing helped me get over the fear and build confidence with ollies
Wow ok so now i know why couldnt perform a good ollie. I misinterpreted “pop” as just push down a little. I didnt understand that you had to hit the ground haha

Do another heel flip Tutorial. I'm pretty sure you might have some new tips for that trick
_ Jaime _04 my only tip is that have pretty much 30-50% of your foot hanging off and all your doing is a Ollie but whacking the edge of the board with your heel.

I used to skate a few years back then stopped but I started again about 2 days ago or so and I'm having more fun than ever these tutorials have helped a lot my ollies are starting to get smoother and I feel more comfortable riding so you earned a new sub keep it up!

I can push and ride goofy but I have to switch to regular to pop and do any sort of trick. But then my goofy ass loses balance in regular stance

Skateboard decks are kinda weird. Basically, very few companies make their own decks. I don't know who makes Revive decks, but they are likely on par with pretty much every other deck manufacturer.
Phony Poser revive boards are great but they aren't better than any other good company the hate is all because they started as a RUclips company not a VHS tape company it's stupid

What about me? My left foot is so useless, it's almost disabled kind of... So, I try tricks with right for back foot, but when it's time to ride I need to have my right foot in the front. IM THE WEIRDEST "TRYING-TO-BE" SKATER EVER.

BillyUH it’s easier to change how you ride than how you do tricks so try switching your riding stance

Trying to skate again and I can't kick flip or heel flip anymore, I feel like I'll land a tray flip before I relearn kick flips, it just feels more natural to me Idk y. I use to kick flip easily all the time any time but I never did them high. I broke my leg then after I could barley do kick flips but learned heel flips and could do them pretty high.

How do I know which side of the skateboard is front and back or does that not matter?????
hannah firegirl the nose is slightly wider than the tail. Its not that noticeable so it doesnt really matter.
Do this. Hold your board in front of your eyes so you see the levels of wood on the side of the board (the thin side) and look at both ends of the both the tail will be at a higher angle for more pop and higher ollies and the nose is gonna come out more straight at less of an angle for dragging your foot up on ollies your nose is usually thinnier than your tail and it doesn't really matter but if you're starting to learn ollies I recommend popping off the tail you can cut your grip tape at the front so you know which way your board is facing or you can put in different color screws so you know which way is the nose
hannah firegirl all depends on the shapes of your board, I've seen boards with the Nose and tail the same size, But usually the Tail is a larger.
