Goa is one of the most relaxing seaside places I have visited.
Hyderabad is a great juxtaposition of the old and new, the ancient and modern. He did not even mention the Salar Jung museum, the Hussein Sagar lake, the Falaknuma Palace and a few other attractions of Hyderabad. But yes, it is mainly a crowded city.
Rishikesh might have become commercial but it still has a serenity that touches your soul.

It's a long but very relevant video. In the times where youtubers hardly keep you engaged for 10 min video, this vlog is very well produced and true to its nature. Al Amin (if that's the presenters name) is very very good, never pretending, provided honest review. Being an Indian, can totally relate to what is said. And concluded very well...India is a too vast a country to love or hate completely.

Dear Mo--As an Indian living in the UK-I apologise for your feelings being hurt while in Rishikesh. In the 80's I cycled through Europe with little money in my pocket and never faced any discrimination. The Germans were the kindest and not one shopkeeper in Schleswig Holstein charged me for milk and bread -I asked Why- the reply was that I was the 1st brown skinned person travelling through their village.I organise tours to Germany and India and just returned from some of the places covered e.g. Varanasi/Allahabad/Delhi/Agra/Jaipur/Hardwar/Rishikesh and guided a group on bus/train/Tuk Tuks/Rickshaws and had many positive experiences.I have done a fair share of travelling all around the world and each experience enriches us.Please do not give up on your discovery of India and making further videos due to one bad experience.I have been to your country Bangladesh umpteen times and have always been treated like a king.I always say to friends and others - keep travelling and keep smiling-there is a world to discover and we have only one lifetime left to do it.Regards

I must say brother you are very honest but at the same time let me be honest with you there are good number of Bangladeshi brothers living in India and working here, so you being Bangladeshi can't be an issue. I know there had been discrimination against Muslims in India I have to accept but trust me it is far far less than all other non Muslim countries, reason of discrimination is less to do with religion but more to with some history of terrorist incidents and politics. My country is largest hindu population country and one of the largest Muslim populated country as well, it is not easy to control 130 crore people with so much of diversity :).I am sorry for all inconvenience you faced here and as you know already we are very far from perfect. I appreciate your good work and honesty as it was not just experience but useful information (which even I didn't know). Just subscribed you.cheers brother.

Did you find South India to be more travel friendly than North India? I've heard that South India is better for first time travelers to the country. Is that true? The towns near the mountains like Rishikesh also seem more chill and travel friendly. What do you think?

Manali, Rishikesh, Simla , Chandigarh are very travel friendly. Further, udaipur, Jaipur and Pushkar is also quite good for backpackers. Delhi, Varanasi, Haridwar can be a little exhilarating for new persons. But the whole India is vast and every state and city has something new and exciting to offer. Do visit south India and North India for a complete India experience.

I went from Mysore to Hampi in an old, rattly citybus without padding on the seats and stopping to let off and take on new passengers all the time, took forever getting there. So, yeah - I'll go with trains when I visit in december. Really great upload btw, looking to have a been a great trek. Only, you should have gone inland while in Goa. There is some good stuff going on in the forested areas bordering Kanataka.

TRAINS. 2 months before I go to India, reservations were already difficult. so I used the services of 12go. Even so, I have all sorts of reservations from AC1 to sleepers hahahaha but I welcome it so I can experience all train classes. Reservation for train seats most especially for long distance trip is opened 4 months b4 the actual trip. Not able to have reservations, I am forced to fly from Chennai to Mumbai, then to Kolkatta. My train reservations will only start from Kolkata until Jaisalmer stopping along the way 4days per city then back to New Delhi for my flight to Nepal. I am excited.

only 45 days...then just cover only two or three states of west or north or north east or south india... otherwise u will get sick because of sudden change in food water humidity temperature when u move from one to another part of India.
OR u can use Kesari tour company packages which are famous in india. They are affordable and provide everything to make your trip memorable.

Great Doc, been backpacking India. I must say I enjoyed going back to the places you travelled. I was scammed too. Travelling to India is a bittersweet experience of mixed experiences. Its both sad and happy but overall thats India. Hope to do the India-Nepal too.

Ooooh now you're learning about the scams and the bargaining or negotiations. Hhhhhhhh i live in Somalia and thats pretty much how business works here no matter how big or small always haggle .
For example you want to rent tucktuck you argue the price with them before you hop on the driver might say he'll take you to your destination for $3 don't ever accept that bring down the price all the way to $1 or $1.5 no more. and don't forget once you argue with them and you don't find a common ground try walking away they'll call you back..
