@@FabricioCRR in a perfect world it's "Grant an item additional text based on which region it's from",, kind of like husks, but with actually interesting effects instead of just sorta flavorful keywords

@ANALOQUE And having the requirement be more loyal to LoL gave the opponent too much influence on Kayn’s level up.
I’ve been wanting to see how they would realise Kayn in LoR for ages!!!

Finally, the Darkin getting some love.
Really cool concept but it's missing the mark for me a lil bit. I feel they coulda really given Kayn and Rhaast a better level up animation. What if he had two different ones depending on which form you chose? Like you pick shadow assassin and Kayn grabs the sythe, dark blue shadow magic surrounds him and he becomes the ultimate shadow assassin, or you pick Rhaast and the sythe rips itself from his grasp and impales him, transforming him into the sassy Darkin. This level up animation, while well animated, just feels like a fraction of its potential and not very well choreographed/thought out
I'm not even a fan of the animation itself, it makes him look too small and frail with his goofy aah scythe, kinda reminds me too much of gwen's as well

Darkin getting some much needed representation? Love to see it. Hopefully we can get some other Darkin bros too. With Kayn repping Ionia already, Varus would be bloating it, so Aatrox would be a great fit.
Plus he could fit this new Equip card type by just being an equip spell himself. Equip his sword to a unit to turn them into Aatrox?
Kayn is a runeterran champ here not Ionian.

they have a darkin tribe so it makes sense for there to be more than 1
It is such a cool reference that Kayn's untransformed self can use some of Rhaast's power (2 healing). Also, I think it is a nice touch that Kayn couldn't kill Zed but Rhaast did
The lvl up animation looks really goofy but otherwise card looks great

since he's 0 cost after level up, you can hold him, then combo it with the demacian scout spell for a 2 mana elusive scout with ramping attack.
All the Darkin we know are imprisoned in their weapons and then you have this Darkin LITERALLY BEING A BALISTA 😭
I love that they used Kayn's Shadow assasin music. That track always brings me chills for how fitting it is for a young assassin and his murderous scythe

Well, just like in League Rhaast seems to be way better then Shadow Assasin.
uh did you not see shadow assasin is an ELUSIVE and gets +2 attack when he attacks? It puts your enemy on a clock

@@helloneighbour2408 Yeah, he also has challenger, which is useless in combination with elusive. Rhaast on the other hand also can go face because of overwhelm, but unlike Shadow Assasin he can do it while killing enemy units and he heals your Nexus in the process. I am sorry, but it's not even close in terms of efficiency. Yes, Shadow Assasin can be a finisher, but there are straight up better elusive finishers in the game already.

Been waiting for proper equip cards, another way to create some cool customs thank you for this. As I was wondering about how to create an Equipment custom but not been the Attach since that goes onto units.
Would be a good opportunity to have a two-part level-up animation. Keep the current one as the first part and play another half based on the choice when playing levelled-up Kayn.
I was thinking about how they would add Kayn to the game. My thought was that they would have a fast spell that allows kayn to leave your side of the board and go into an enemy unit and then after a turn or so he breaks out of that unit dealing his damage to the unit and returning to your side of the board. If the unit dies before Kayn comes back out then either Kayn dies with the unit or Kayn goes back to your side of the board, whatever is more balanced. But what they came up with is also good and I'm excited to try it out.

League he has uses, here is basically take elusive chump blockers, basically Yusari. But the effect on Rhaast is so much stronger than SA, the use is basically one.

Incredible design and extension already, but if i must fine a "but" the level animation is pretty bad after Kai'sa and Gwen.. Kayn seem very old when he's about 20 years old or something
I mean, constant fighting against Rhaast in your mind can be exhausting and can have a big toll on your body. Dude became insane with Rhaast in his hands, probably cant even sleep.

@@Waamaru no he cant become immortal. Aatrox and Rhaast are not immortal because of some power. They are cursed to be traped in invincible weapons thats why they are immortal. Their soul is in an invincible cage.

I've stopped play LoR months ago after the big big change to the way the game works but I find joy when looking at how the team of LoR has brought a new champ from LoL

I've started playing again since path of the champions 2.0 came out. the first time since the beta. have played every day since and even bought pulsfire and stargurardian pass and made it to max. i have a lot of fun with the pve content. make max 3+ chests every week.
I've been rank too. i am bronze 3.
I hope the Darkin type cards have a secret special interaction when the sun disc is either finished or destroyed.
I feel like they should've made his lvl up similar to Azir's and the ascended, where they lvl up a second time. Or at least give a cool animation when choosing between rhaast or kayn. That's his selling point after all, is the fact that he can be a fighter or an assassin.

I like how the sound of his eyes turning red in his level up animation is the same one used for perilous attacks in sekiro
The level up animation feels pretty lacking to me. What if instead each form had their distinct level up when you resummon Kayn?
Aatrox should start AS an equipment “The Darkin Blade” that was grows and consumes those he is equipped to, until the equipment levels up into a champion. Lore slam dunk.

He definitely looks incredibly fun! But isn’t Rhaast simply just far more better of an upgrade over Blue? I mean, sustainability and flexibility wise, it offers a lot more freedom to be reactive especially if you need to be defensive; after all he fully heals on a kill plus your base.
The only thing I see blue having is pressure and better kill potential on beefier targets

Ngl, pretty sick. I never really had an interest in Kayn in regular league, only really in the Zed comic. So I hope LoR can give me a bigger soft spot for him.
