I agree - comprehensive analysis with dinky graphics to boot! Soucek was a good shout for MotM.

Although I had no set expectations, (my personal standard, historically, was top ten but has been open to change since 2020 ) I was happy with the business done in the summer, looking back I would have given it a solid 7.5/10 - signing a striker, a left back and Ings not departing were the only negatives.
Today we look and see not only has Ings importance to the squad grown beyond, perhaps, his abilities but so has Andy Irving's, who many said would be a makeweight & never play a PL minute ( 👍).
There has also been an ongoing argument that the on loan JWP's 18 goal contributions were too great to discard. Our world cup winning Argentine and £200K a week Spanish international have done little to suggest they can negate that loss, it could even be argued that loaning Freddie Potts was a careless piece of business.
After 8 games, Souchek is the top scorer, MA 9 starts and Kudus is hooked at HT. The veneer that West Ham have won the transfer window has worn off, exercising patience is prudent even in the face of all these alarm bells and so the refrain is give him more time, which begs the response, time is guaranteed to no one.
