In German Bundesliga is usual to hold fans in standing areas, but this does not happen in european competitions. -This video is not mentioning the Olympic Stadium in Baku, with a capacity of 68000. Even if Azerbaijan could be geografically in Asia (but for most people al three caucasian republics are doubtless in Europe), the local football federation is affiliated to Uefa, the stadium hosted home matches of Qarabag when this club played in Uefa Champions League and it hosted 4 matches at Euro2020, including a quarter final and the Uefa Europa League final in 2019 (when Chelsea defeated Arsenal 4-1).
Wrong about the standing area in international competition, as of this season UEFA has allowed standing terraces, so clubs like Dortmund and Bayern can have full capacity in the UCL. And this vid is also about max capacity so it wouldn’t make sense to downgrade stadiums just because of standing area’s.
@@maxtenvergert thanks for this news I was not aware of. As I have read, this season is a trial, and at the end Uefa will choose wheter greenlight definetely this change or not. Anyway, I think the best and fairest thing should be to indicate the capacity in all seater configuration, because with a few works, any stadium could be converted in a mixed arrangement. For instance, Wembley could host up to 105-110k people with standing areas.
Petrovsky Stadium in St Petersburg is another stadium much smaller and older than Gazprom Arena. Zenit used to host matches there before 2017 when the latter was finally completed for WC18.
Where is Strahovský stadion in Prague? It has theorethical capacity of 250 000 people, but real is much lower because it wasn’t used for decades so some parts of it couldn’t be used a would have to be repaired.
New Camp Nou (Barcelona, Spain): 105.000. And don't forget Twickenham Stadium (London, England): 82.000, but only Rugby Union is played in it. And Murrayfield Stadium (Edinburgh, Scotland): 67.144.

The official attendance record in Poland was broken on September 18, 1963, an all-time record. The "witches' cauldron" had about 130,000 unusual football fans. Górnik Zabrze defeated Austria Vienna 1:0, unofficially about 170,000 people could sit in the stands.
The Maradona Stadium (former San Paolo stadium) capacity was unluckily reduced to 54.726 seats in 2019 for safety reasons, while its original capacity was 92.000 people when it was built in 1959 (and it had a medium attendance of 80.000 people per game, one of the biggest in Europe, during Maradona's era). The fact that currently it's almost always sold out speaks clearly in favour of building a bigger stadium or an upgrade to take its capacity back to at least 70/80k seats.

WOW noted
@@alesxemsky you're right, I confused Petrovsky with Krestovsky.
I use to think that Santiago bernabau is bigger than Camp Nou not knowing my club stadium 🏟️ is the biggest. Wow I'm so happy to hear that 😍
Ya Barcelona have z biggest currently
And they have the oldest stadium too
And ii will be bigger after the renovation, capacity will be 105,000 seated people,
Real Madrid had to reduce some seats so that they could exhibit their UCL cups.
Hampden park was the biggest stadium in Europe nothing comes close
Where is Strahovský stadion in Prague? It has theorethical capacity of 250 000 people, but real is much lower because it wasn’t used for decades so some parts of it couldn’t be used a would have to be repaired.
New Camp Nou (Barcelona, Spain): 105.000. And don't forget Twickenham Stadium (London, England): 82.000, but only Rugby Union is played in it. And Murrayfield Stadium (Edinburgh, Scotland): 67.144.
And if the new camp nou is done 109.000+ ❤
Wasn't it 105.000. Or am I wrong?

I wonder what the capacity of the new camp nou will be

The stadio olmpico in Rome is one of my favorites and have a little Italian blood in me but never been as I've had a life where making plans has always been a let down and these days can't afford to go see Roma and Lazio play that be awesome and I could die happy 🤣
No murrayfield, Edinburgh?
Giuseppe Meazza stadium...one of the best stadium in the world. La Scala del calcio
Giuseppe Meazza how internisti called it
San Siro how milanisti called it. Or are they actually two different building?
@@teguhsuwondo2520 no, San Siro is the name of the neighborhood, Meazza is the name of the stadium. but generally people say San Siro.
I've been to San Siro three times... One time supporting my team, other two times being invited by Italian friends to see both Milan & Inter... But sadly never a Milan Derby 😟

That is the wrong mercedes benz arena brother. The one you picked is located in Atlanta, US of A.
The official attendance record in Poland was broken on September 18, 1963, an all-time record. The "witches' cauldron" had about 130,000 unusual football fans. Górnik Zabrze defeated Austria Vienna 1:0, unofficially about 170,000 people could sit in the stands.
Twickenham in London and Croke Park in Dublin both missing
The fact that Camp Nou is being renovated and turning into a more of a giant....
You forgot Anfield at 61,276...
The London stadium is 62,500. It actually has 66,000 seats but doesn't have permission to use them all yet from the local council.
Im guessing a fellow WHU supporter. The Actual full capacity now is 69,500 (67,000+the extra 2,500 from the changes made)

The picture you use for Mercedes-Benz-Arena Stuttgart is actually Mercedes-Benz-Stadium Atlanta.
What about Croke Park in Dublin? Over 82,000.

Magnífica esta apresentação. Parabéns. Obrigado pela partilha.😀
San Siro is so historic stadium ❤️
The Maradona Stadium (former San Paolo stadium) capacity was unluckily reduced to 54.726 seats in 2019 for safety reasons, while its original capacity was 92.000 people when it was built in 1959 (and it had a medium attendance of 80.000 people per game, one of the biggest in Europe, during Maradona's era). The fact that currently it's almost always sold out speaks clearly in favour of building a bigger stadium or an upgrade to take its capacity back to at least 70/80k seats.
Napoli should do what River Plate did: fuck the running track, lower the pitch level and build more seating.
@@filipe2444 IKR, a lot of people already suggested it, but the Mayor (the Stadium is owned by the Municipality) is very cautious every time it has to spend money so he is procrastinating the needed upgrade.
@@filipe2444 El Monumental looks incredible.
I heard years ago that the san Paolo stadium was a danger zone and unfit for purpose. No matter what nobody can polish a turd but idiots will try.
