I like the video. @ 35:50, it is a good idea to give the impeller a few turns to make sure there is clearance. With my luck, there will be some unimaginable little problem like one of those open-style vanes on that aftermarket being knocked out of alignment by a couple of thousandths.

Actually the aftermarket blade fins are the new OEM style. The OEM style change to the metal fins I think for the 2009 model year. It confused me the first time I came across it too, but rest assured, factory OEM water pumps starting around 2009 came with the metal blade fins

Also would like to add, check the water pump sprocket bolts even after you tighten them with the special tool on it. The tool can hold the pulley further out, and not allow the sprocket bolts to fully tighten. I used a breaker bar on the crank to hold the engine from spinning, and tightened them without the tool. But its important to atleast SRT the bolts because you dont want the sprocket flying off and the chain coming off.

How come it didn’t show any O-rings on the tube going to the water pump or the other the other side which is the thermostat
I thought he did a good job I’m gonna get right on it tomorrow I just need to know about those O-rings because he didn’t come in a box the water pump box

You can used the same ones O-rings just be careful and grease them up it's going to be little tough to get it out. Remember safety first if can do it you can do it. Let me know how did it go Don't forget to give a thumps up on my channel if you like it and it help you.

The cobalt didn’t come out until 2005……

Watching to just obviously confirm. I’m in for a headache. The cobalt started in 2005-2006. That’s likely a ‘06. I have the same style coil pack in my 06. They refreshed it in later years. Same engine as a Saturn Ion, Pontiac G6 and HHR. Just saying in case anyone wonders.
