Out of curiosity, I bought the button impact driver. It seems to be a decent tool however I'm not fond of the latches on the case that seem to want to pop open on their own. Another words they are way too loose. Getting back to the tool, I like that it came with both the 2.5 and 5 ah batteries. I don't believe the video flex put out beating the taped up milwaukee though.the huge football player looking guy, its an advertising gimmick. The tool does compete with the top brands I will say. As far as the best.......I don't believe so. I am interested in the improvements they will make in the future as far as not just keeping up with the best, but one day actually surpassing them. Right now out of the top 4...you're buying the brand out of loyalty because from what I see each one has their own flaws. As of now, I'm pretty well satisfied in what I see in the flex brand. It doesn't matter that I was a contractor, it also doesn't matter that I actually work at lowes in the tool department...I'm just a regular guy that loves power tools!

I got one thing at time so I have plenty charger and battery
I just bought the 1/2" Impact and the charger does not work. There is not light on. Nor does the fan makes a sound. Directly out of the box. Now I have to contact flex about this. And I plan on going back to Lowe's and letting them know.

Just watched as this came through autoplay, it's nice to have another player in the game, it's nice to have powerful and capable tools. However.. everytime I see flex promote the impact I always have the same thoughts, it's pretty Large in size.. is what it is, the control panel looks like something in the middle of the Makita xdt16 and xdt19 (flex may have power advantage until I pull out my impact wrench according to application as power only means so much within proper application)(Makita much more compact, and ergonomic as well as smoother in operation in my experience) the button under collet releases a bit... The Makita switches settings on the fly which is more useful for my applications. Flex is definitely off to a decent start, the battery tech seems their strong suit, time will tell. I would definitely add that their black Friday/xmas deals leave Alot to be desired compared to Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc. Again, happy there is more competition on the playing field. Thanks for the content.

There’s lots of controversy on that. I hope to get a hold of some flex tools again so I can compare to Milwaukee tools. I’ll do that asap. I’d say FLEX is comparable to the Milwaukee line…wouldn’t say it’s better…not yet any way.
@@MasteringMayhem I think Flex did what they needed to do and some for a
First release. They proved they have the power to hang with and beat anyone if they want. Now we need to see if they can provide finesse with those tools that require it. Milwaukee and Makita do that well and they know what customers want by now but Flex has proven their potential now it’s just up to them to fine tune a few things particularly in the cutting department.
Some of the other lines can learn from them too I love the rotating dust chute you showed and the star lock blade release on the multi tool. It’s just too easy.
There’s a lot to be excited for.

Lol intuitive chargers, sales rep is acting as if you can over charge any tool battery
Some chargers don’t cut off after the battery is charged. They will keep pumping watts to the battery sitting on the charger and eventually impact the lifespan of the battery from overcharging. What the rep was saying is flex chargers cut off after it’s fully charged to prevent that which itself is intuitive for a charger.
@@tylervalentin9450 what chargers don’t cut off? Never in the 15 years of using lithium ion have I seen that and if a company is doing that they are going to get sued when there batteries blow up
