I have something that might help for content, like a video where you build a pc incorrectly but its on purpose and you won’t tell us what you did wrong, instead it is up to the viewers to identify which steps or procedure you did wrong on the video. It’s educational and challenging for newbies right and its meant for newbies as well not for the pro’s haha someone might have already thought of this but just a suggestion! Surprisingly, it's a decent PSU from the tests that I've done. That's the quarantine hair for you lol. It's gotten to the point where it gets in my eyes, so it's time for the crazy hair to go :p
Thanks for the review. I have 3 questions. 1. Specs of this PC look pretty solid. Are not they good enough to try out games on High settings? I believe it should easily provide smooth experience for Apex high settings. Please correct if I am wrong. 2. Is explosion a real threat for this kind of PC builds from Aliexpress? Did you hear that someone experienced such problem in the past? How serious it was? 3. What is overall experience with this build so far? Do you like it or it exploded? 😂 Thanks again!
1. Yes. You could probably run the PC at high settings and get above 60 fps. Personally I prefer a little higher framerate and lower graphical settings when it comes to FPS games. 2. Not really. I was more worried about the step-up converter I had to use for the EU PSU. It was only rated for 500W and I was approaching that amount of power usage with the PC at full throttle. There have been cheap PSUs in the past that have popped on me. TimmyJoe actually did a video on one recently: ruclips.net/video/4M5yTrzdcxY/видео.html 3. The build performed great. No problems with it so far. I gave the PC to a co-worker who wanted to get into PC gaming and it's been gaming Warzone a lot lately with no issues at all.

The comparison/review should be finished next weekend or this weekend. In the middle of another video right now. If everything goes as planned should be finished the video this coming weekend. If not, the weekend after. Thanks for leaving some feedback as well. I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
@@ruraj1393 I'd say look at the reviews and definitely make sure there are good reviews preferably with photos. For shipping it depends on the item and the shipping price that you're willing to pay. (I'm not an expert but I'm just trying to help)

Nice, I was hoping you'd make an all AliExpress build. I have used both the same fans and AIO and can attest that they're great budget options. Since this is technically not a current gen budget build, far from it actually, it'd be interesting to see the Ali build go up against a current gen budget option for the same price point, preferably with one of the new Ryzen 3000 skus, DDR4 ram and a recent gpu from either team green or red. Also, a bit more of a deep dive into a few productivity based benchmarks alongside gaming could be nice, just to get a fuller picture. As always, really enjoyed the video, keep it up man!
Some of the PC parts surprised me with how good they were. I think that would be a cool comparison to do in the future. Although, I'll probably build another AliExpress PC (or Wish?). I decided against productivity benchmarks because the PC was only geared towards gaming and was the focus of this video. Glad you're still liking the content! OptiFlex is up next and I'm excited to show off the changes for it.
@@WiltshireTutorials Oh, make like "AliExpress VS Wish Ultimate Budget Build" or something, could be very entertaining. The benchmarks I meant for if you do both this and current gen build, I understand why you didn't include them in this video though for sure, we all know how good ol' xeon performs anyway. Also wanted to ask why you didn't go with an m.2? These weirdo x79 modified boards support it and there's a bunch of good m.2 options on Ali as well, did you just try getting more fast storage for the buck by going with SSD, or is there some weird quircks with m.2 on x79? My personal go-to in a budget scenario is a small boot drive m.2 plus traditional large capacity HDD for storage. Either way, looking forward to OptiFlex.
Not a bad idea! I'll write that one down in the list of video ideas! I imagine the E5-2690 can do well in multi-core applications like editing and streaming. Where it falls a little short is gaming due to the lower frequency. You're not really able to overclock anything on these odd Chinese motherboards. They simply don't have the VRM cooling to do it. I did buy an M.2 SSD. However it hasn't arrived yet. Not sure if things are slow due to COVID-19 or if it got lost in the mail. So, I went with my backup plan of a SATA SSD I bought at the same time. I also think the M.2 was a little bit more money. So, it's up to the builder on what they want to do. Definitely recommend M.2 myself though! I'm excited to show off OptiFlex's potential final form after all this time!
@@WiltshireTutorials Yeah, these are some weird homunculi boards, that's why I asked about the m.2 haha. Wonder if anyone actually tried a homebrew solution for VRM cooling to effectively overclock them, need to look into it. The 'rona did bite hard huh? Hope you're doing well and staying safe, I sure am.
You never really know what you're going to get with the franken-boards from AliExpress lol. I imagine someone has made a thermal solution for the poor VRMs. I've seen custom BIOS for the boards that allow more overclocking. So, there's a high possibility of there being a homebrew solution.
Gotta be kidding me man, some months ago I finally built my own gaming PC after building and selling gaming PCs for about 2 years and I was craving a mesh front case but couldn't find any for an affordable price, now you're telling me darkFlash, the makers of the amazing DR12 PRO RGB fans make one? I'm actually about to impulse buy it, now I'd really be interested in the comparison video of it and the solid front version.
@@WiltshireTutorials No preinstalled fans is a plus to me since that's where many cases cut their costs, I'd buy a 4 or 5 pack of the DR12 PROs, probably with an additional lightbar to spice it up
@@WiltshireTutorials No worries on price, I just want a monster of a PC! I draw, game and my daughter is home schooled so I want a PC that can handle it all. Where should I start to get the knowledge I need?
I would personally look up some building beginner guides. PCPartPicker is your best friend for making PC build lists. It has a compatibility feature on it, so it will notify you if you've selected a part that doesn't work or play well with other parts.
Not all of the cables needed for what I did in this build. The power supply comes with all the necessary cables needed for getting the PC up and running.
I'm looking for a build to play these games, plus WoW Classic/retail (hopefully get WoW as close to max settings as possible) to build/play with my son. I'm totally lost in trying to pick parts. Would you suggest this build or what are some changes you'd make?
Considering this PC can play Fortnite at high settings, it should have no problem maxing out WoW! This PC build is honestly not a bad place to start at. I would probably add an M.2 SSD as the boot drive for this build. I ordered one and it's still a no show. So, I ended up using a SATA SSD instead. I would also probably go with either an E5-1620 V2 or an E5-1650 V2 instead of the E5-2690. Those CPUs are essentially a rebadged i7 and are a little better at gaming. The E5-2690 is geared towards productivity tasks like editing.
@@WiltshireTutorials The thing is, he made an AliExpress PC video, but he didn't even test it. Apparently the PSU was faulty and he left it at that. No benchmarks or anything.
Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I must have missed that video of his. If the PSU died I would've tested it with another anyways. Not sure why he didn't do the same.
Okay so I like this but I can't help but remark that nowadays a nitro 5 with ryzen 5 4600h with 1650 goes for about $580 on sale, that's a screen and keyboard and windows too.
Fair enough. But, why would you restrict yourself to a laptop? They're non-upgradable hot boxes most of the time. Keep in mind all these parts are new except for the E5-2690. You could easily bring the price down by doing some used parts hunting for a PSU, GPU, SSD, Case, Cooling, etc. Also, last I checked, the Nitro 5 is not $580: www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-nitro-5-15-6-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-256gb-ssd-obsidian-black/6413246.p?skuId=6413246&intl=nosplash
8:49 i think you are forgetting that psus draw more power than they output :) about 10-20% more (because it's 80+ =better than 80% efficiency) so it draws actually about 780w instead of 650 w :)
The PC is still running like a champ. It's no longer in my possession as I gifted it to a co-worker. He plays Warzone every night and it's still chugging along nicely. As for streaming, it would do pretty well at 720P 60FPS x264 FAST on OBS. You would have to limit things to 1080P with low to medium presets on games.
@@WiltshireTutorials sorry for another question but if I get the Xeon E7 will I be able to stream at a higher speed or higher quality I'm new to pc building and how it works so idk
You'll have to be more specific. Xeon E7 covers many CPUs. That's just the CPU name scheme, not the actual model number of CPU. Also, it is the wrong socket. You need a CPU that is socket LGA2011.
Quite true! Although I found a 1620 V2 for much cheaper than a 1650. Was just a suggestion to keep the costs down. I would go with the 1650 too, if it were me.
In design, there is nothing like the Cute Let RX 580. If you're just looking for performance. I'd just buy a used RX 580 from Sapphire. There are a few more cute let cards at this link here. If you're specifically looking for this card: a.aliexpress.com/_mrnrGhd
one thing you have to legitimately watch for with those chinese back ally ali express parts is that in almost every item, the actual specs of the part isnt what they say it is. the specs you THINK you got are more likely to be a 50th of what it said it was, and thats assuming you even get the right platform
@@WiltshireTutorials I was actually talking about what it reads in the computer itself. Most of the time you'll find weird shit going on when you go into the bios on alot of stuff, because in windows itself itll show it as being one thing then you go into bios or the drivers and all of a sudden you start seeing weird out of place stuff about it. Most people wouldn't really know the difference unless you've seen the real one before. Hell you might be buying a gtx 2070 and in windows itll say its a 2070 and with whatever specs, but those are just numbers written as a description output in the software. You go looking for certain drivers and you might find out that it's not a 2070 but some garbage binned 15 year old card with a modified driver. Some even go as far as putting fake capacitors on the board to make it look more realistic
I feel like the average FPS on most of the tests were so high that you should have ran the tests for High/ultra settings to get a real “bang for buck” comparison.
Thanks for the feedback, Trevor! I was shooting for a budget PC and my thought process was that it won't be able to max most modern titles out. Thus, I didn't run games on their absolute highest settings. I wanted to give examples at certain settings most users would end up using. I definitely will consider doing multiple graphical settings for different resolutions in the future.
Most of the parts were ordered at the same time. I would say it took about 3-4 weeks for everything to arrive. Obviously, it could be slower or faster depending on what country you live in
All good! No offense taken. The Xeon chips are a little bit bigger than the normal IHS found on AMD Ryzen or Intel Core CPUs. So, a little bit more is needed. Similar to how the Threadripper needs more thermal paste.
A $70 motherboard that doesn't even support DDR4? Your better bet is to get the Gigabyte B450M DS3H, a motherboard that is also $70, supports DDR4, and is not a cheap knockoff from aliexpress
Fair enough, However, you will be spending a lot more money on the CPU and RAM than you would with the X79-ZD3. So overall, the X79-ZD3 is the better option to choose, if on a really tight budget, in my opinion.
@@saucy.3727 No problem. Hopefully you aren't running Windows XP anymore. It's not a safe OS to run a PC on anymore. I'm not sure if that keyboard shortcut will work for you. Don't remember if it was introduced back then
@@WiltshireTutorials oh ok I just tried to order a build from Amazon "both on UK and us" and I couldn't get less than £600 for everything because the most common cheap CPUs use the LGA 1155 chipset but the mobo is hard to find and for some reason eBay won't even ship to me. The GPU prices are also stupendous so is the shipping. I found a bloody 1050ti for £400 and an Rx 570 4gb was $230+ how does that happen. It wasn't even of. And recently my laptop broke apart so I can't really game anymore so getting a pc is kinda a must saddly
Pretty much what I did after this video. I gave the PC to a co-worker with a new PSU in it, just in case. I've kept the Aigo PSU just for powering on water pumps outside of PCs.
You're misunderstanding what I said... An 'Esports Title' is a game that is purposely designed and optimized to run on anything PC setup. Be it good or bad. Such as Overwatch, Valorant or League. Fortnite is not really optimized like the other titles and requires a stronger PC to run. Obviously, it's an Esport....
@@2arx992 Clearly you missed the point of the video. The challenge for the video was to find unknown Chinese brands to build a gaming while on a tight budget. Although, the X79 Turbo board may be better, it's also more expensive and larger. Not a lot of people in some parts of the East can afford the price or the amount of space a full ATX sized build takes up. Most PCs are MATX or smaller over there. Lastly, Arctic is a very well established and reputable brand. Not an unknown smaller brand like Huananzhi or Kingdian, for example.
i just got into gaming pc building and i really wanna take the challenge to build one, would it be a good idea to buy the parts from AliExpress as you did or shall i just drop the idea until i can afford legit parts from better stores? i need this pc to run well on the long term bc it would be a long term investment for me
This is a decent place to start, if you're on a stricter budget. If you're able to afford getting newer parts, then I would do so instead. Since you plan on making this PC last for a while, you would want to get the newest parts you can get.

The E5-2690 is geared towards productivity tasks like editing.
the gpu looks rly cute panda
It's supposed to be a cat. But, you could probably repaint the blue points on the card back and white to make it a panda!
So much better than the Linus vid, well done!
Glad you liked the video! I wouldn't call myself better than Linus though! Thanks for watching!
The way of your expressing stuff yeah you have potential
Okay so I like this but I can't help but remark that nowadays a nitro 5 with ryzen 5 4600h with 1650 goes for about $580 on sale, that's a screen and keyboard and windows too.
Fair enough. But, why would you restrict yourself to a laptop? They're non-upgradable hot boxes most of the time. Keep in mind all these parts are new except for the E5-2690. You could easily bring the price down by doing some used parts hunting for a PSU, GPU, SSD, Case, Cooling, etc.
Also, last I checked, the Nitro 5 is not $580: www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-nitro-5-15-6-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-256gb-ssd-obsidian-black/6413246.p?skuId=6413246&intl=nosplash
if anyone is looking to buy a rx 580 on aliexpress make sure you look over the listing completely before buy a lot of them are the 2048 shader version
Good advice for anyone who's looking!
I found you from the Verve build fail vid :)
Ayyyyy, thanks for stopping on by. I appreciate it very much!
8:49 i think you are forgetting that psus draw more power than they output :) about 10-20% more (because it's 80+ =better than 80% efficiency) so it draws actually about 780w instead of 650 w :)
That is correct. Only if it needs it of course. That's why the continuous power draw is 650W and the peak draw is 850W
@@WiltshireTutorials yes
Has it lasted well over time?
It was given to a co-worker and he plays Warzone daily for 3-4 hours at a time. He hasn't had a problem with the Aliexpress PC yet!
daaaaaaaaaim ! have you tried cs:go on it ? how much fps you think this beast would hit on that game ?
As CS:GO doesn't require that powerful of a machine to run, I imagine it would run really well!
Bro, make a DIY door-like PC case glass window video.
Possible. Will write the idea down and think about it some more. Thanks for the suggestion!
التيس يبقى تيس 👍🏽
Really nice hoodie
Thanks man! :D
You forgot to use your Bluetooth “anti static” live strong bracelet.
Verge joke if you couldn’t tell
I got the joke, don't worry lol. I was one of the people who reacted to it, don't forget :p.
I loved your reaction that’s how I found your channel love ur vids!
Thanks! Glad you liked it! A lot of people came from that video!
Before I buy the parts and build it is it still lasting and in your opinion would it do good on streaming?
The PC is still running like a champ. It's no longer in my possession as I gifted it to a co-worker. He plays Warzone every night and it's still chugging along nicely. As for streaming, it would do pretty well at 720P 60FPS x264 FAST on OBS. You would have to limit things to 1080P with low to medium presets on games.
@@WiltshireTutorials Ok thanks
@@WiltshireTutorials sorry for another question but if I get the Xeon E7 will I be able to stream at a higher speed or higher quality I'm new to pc building and how it works so idk
You'll have to be more specific. Xeon E7 covers many CPUs. That's just the CPU name scheme, not the actual model number of CPU. Also, it is the wrong socket. You need a CPU that is socket LGA2011.
The Xeon 1650 is a good option too. Runs smoother then the 1620 v2
Quite true! Although I found a 1620 V2 for much cheaper than a 1650. Was just a suggestion to keep the costs down. I would go with the 1650 too, if it were me.
@@WiltshireTutorials You can overclock it too but you might need a bios mod
But you can't set voltage so youll be limited unless you do a voltmod
Any suggestions what could be good alternative for Yeston Cute Pet RX580 since its out of stock? :/
In design, there is nothing like the Cute Let RX 580. If you're just looking for performance. I'd just buy a used RX 580 from Sapphire.
There are a few more cute let cards at this link here. If you're specifically looking for this card:

THAT GPU WOULDVE BEEN FIRE WITH A WHITE CASE/RAM STICKS
Probably. Colour combo would've been a lot nicer than the Black and green.
that is a MOUNTAIN of thermal paste holy hell
You kinda have to give it a little bit for thermal paste because the IHS is so large on the Xeon and Threadripper CPUs lol 😅
How could you build this pc without a Swiss army knife and tweezers?
How could I forget?! I'll make sure to use them next time ;p
excuse me, you can't have those without an Allen key
It's a package deal.
Cool video, will you make an update please?
What kind of update? I don't have the PC anymore as I gifted it to a co-worker of mine
@@WiltshireTutorials like if you plan on making another aliexpress build,
I may do so in the near future.
@@WiltshireTutorialsOk
one thing you have to legitimately watch for with those chinese back ally ali express parts is that in almost every item, the actual specs of the part isnt what they say it is. the specs you THINK you got are more likely to be a 50th of what it said it was, and thats assuming you even get the right platform
That is true. It can happen. I've seen it happen. Luckily, I haven't had any issues with the parts that I've bought from AliExpress, yet.
That's more of Wish than AliExpress. At least in my experience anyway. If the price is too good to be true, it most likely is.
AliExpress has much better moderation than wish
I feel like the average FPS on most of the tests were so high that you should have ran the tests for High/ultra settings to get a real “bang for buck” comparison.
Thanks for the feedback, Trevor! I was shooting for a budget PC and my thought process was that it won't be able to max most modern titles out. Thus, I didn't run games on their absolute highest settings. I wanted to give examples at certain settings most users would end up using. I definitely will consider doing multiple graphical settings for different resolutions in the future.
Can we expect a Wish PC build, given they've got components?
That'll be added to the list of video idea. That ought to be... Interesting. Wish is so much worse than AliExpress for quality.
@@WiltshireTutorials Triple the number of fire extinguishers when you build that one!
I'm gonna setup a blast shield for that one lmao
I made my gaming pc with only AliExpress parts aswell and i paid 280€ so I don’t know what you bought cause with 500 dollars i could also just buy one
That's about $350USD or $436CDN. Take out the case that wasn't needed and there you go. You have the same price.
Hello I am gonna get that build but I don’t want the rx580 can I get a 1650 4gb
Sure! I would recommend a GPU with a bit more VRAM these days though! I would look at something with at least 8GB
Do you think the build could run Gta 5 and at what settings??
Oh, for sure! Keep in mind this is a budget PC. So, it would be 1080P probably at low/medium settings.
A little disappointed it didn't burst into flames. Half expected motherboard componants to pop like fireworks.
Deep down a part of me wanted to see some flames too. Would've made for great content lol
a fellow Legends 🐌🔥 I hope you enjoy the new season for Apex
I am enjoying season 6 so far. The crafting is pretty cool! Hope you're liking the new season as well! Thanks for watching!
Is there chance of getting this for the equivalent of 500 dollars in the uk in pounds
Considering your pound is stronger than both the Canadian Dollar and US Dollar, I would say yes.
How long did it take to arrive
Which part are you referring to? I need you to be more specific
@@WiltshireTutorials Like all the parts, I mean like when did you order all of the parts and when did the last part come in
Most of the parts were ordered at the same time. I would say it took about 3-4 weeks for everything to arrive. Obviously, it could be slower or faster depending on what country you live in
at 10:12 you can hear his voice crack hahaha
Yup! My voice was starting to give out after some failed takes lol
1:00 isn't that too much thermal paste? Genuinely asking.
All good! No offense taken. The Xeon chips are a little bit bigger than the normal IHS found on AMD Ryzen or Intel Core CPUs. So, a little bit more is needed. Similar to how the Threadripper needs more thermal paste.
@@WiltshireTutorials I see, that makes sense! Thanks for the quick response!
@@AhsanKhan1998 You're welcome!
Would you recommend that aio and rgb fans from dark flash
The AIO I would recommend. The fans are okay. But there are better budget RGB fans out there from AsiaHorse or PCCooler
Wiltshire Tutorials but how would I get all of it to sync?
Through the fan hub that comes included with the fans or with an RGB splitter with an RGB controller.
Wiltshire Tutorials can I sync the aio aswell
@@icefn6897 The DT-240 is non-addressable. It's just rainbow all the time. Darkflash does have a newer AIO that is addressable though
@@WiltshireTutorials yeah, thats very true, DDR3 ram is much, much cheaper than DDR4
How is the noise level of the pc?
Surprisingly quiet. The only thing that ramps up is the AIO when it's put under heavy load. But, it's barely noticeable.
I subbed when he said he had to suffer just to play fortnite
Thank you for making my misery worth it lol. I just was never able to get into Fortnite. Don't know why. More power to those who like it though!

Damn! That was big missed opportunity lol
Liking this
Glad to hear you like the video. Thanks for watching!
The cat fans are better than most fans out there that are cheap
Surprisingly, yes!
the shipping price on the tower is $400
Obviously, shipping will vary on your country of origin and where the product is located. Shipping for me was $40.
@@WiltshireTutorials oh ok
I just tried to order a build from Amazon "both on UK and us" and I couldn't get less than £600 for everything because the most common cheap CPUs use the LGA 1155 chipset but the mobo is hard to find and for some reason eBay won't even ship to me. The GPU prices are also stupendous so is the shipping. I found a bloody 1050ti for £400 and an Rx 570 4gb was $230+ how does that happen. It wasn't even of. And recently my laptop broke apart so I can't really game anymore so getting a pc is kinda a must saddly
At least AliExpress can probably build one better than Verge!
Well, Aliexpress is a marketplace. The don't assemble PC builds lol
im going to buy a ryzen 7 2700x for 122 euro ($148) minus tax on aliexpress

I would probably just the PSU from a well known brand and keep the rest the same
Pretty much what I did after this video. I gave the PC to a co-worker with a new PSU in it, just in case. I've kept the Aigo PSU just for powering on water pumps outside of PCs.
Noice
It cost 523 dollars with shipping and without case
It depends what country you're from and what parts I mentioned in the video.
Ayy I have the same case
It's a great case for the money. I was pleasantly surprised with the DLM 21 Mesh
Wiltshire Tutorials yea I agree
@ 16:23 fortnite is definitely an esport bud
You're misunderstanding what I said... An 'Esports Title' is a game that is purposely designed and optimized to run on anything PC setup. Be it good or bad. Such as Overwatch, Valorant or League. Fortnite is not really optimized like the other titles and requires a stronger PC to run. Obviously, it's an Esport....

What?
Octane mains get a lot of hate tbh
Oh, I know we do. Just don't play selfish with Octane and you're good lol
Wiltshire Tutorials you are right
X79 Turbo is a better board
Also replace the aio fan as its static pressure is 0.65, id recommend arctic p12

The Yeston RX 580 Cute Pet Edition lol
i just got into gaming pc building and i really wanna take the challenge to build one, would it be a good idea to buy the parts from AliExpress as you did or shall i just drop the idea until i can afford legit parts from better stores? i need this pc to run well on the long term bc it would be a long term investment for me
This is a decent place to start, if you're on a stricter budget. If you're able to afford getting newer parts, then I would do so instead. Since you plan on making this PC last for a while, you would want to get the newest parts you can get.
