I never use my cast iron skillets for the reason you mentioned! - seems like a lot of work to clean them. So you just use salt and a stainless steel pad? Water? The chicken looks yum!
Thank you! It’s a family favorite! And yes! I use salt when they have really thick caked on food like when I’ve let it sit for a day or two. I add a tablespoon or two of salt and enough water to make a paste and scrub that with the metal brush then rinse and give it a rub down with a paper towel and some oil. But often if the food isn’t terribly stuck on, I can just do a swish with water and the metal pad then dry and put it away. Now that I’ve gotten into the rhythm with them, they’re easier to me than regular skillets 🥰
