I feel you. My teacher does 1 example, then makes us do a bunch of problems with a specific formula and expects us to remember exactly how to do it. Then goes on and shows us something completely different.
Same I am in a math class online for the first time and all the teacher did was upload the pages from the textbook without explanation and expects me to be able to understand it... but this guy has really helped
Covid hit. Went through five teachers last year and learned nothing. I still managed to stay in my advanced class and am finally understanding my homework again thanks to you. You have my thanks, good sir.
no fr i’ve had a sub every single lesson for the past 9 weeks and we haven’t learnt one single thing so i’ve has to teach myself everything, he has definitely helped tho don’t think i’d be passing my exam on friday without him
“I’m sorry it’s been a lot of work” he’s so sweet my teachers will never say that phrase. And you’re so calm in teaching i love how clear you teach. Thank you you’re making it so much easier for us -Philipines❤️
I'm taking a college math course and haven't touched this topic since jr high. My professor goes too fast and fails to explain the whole picture, which is what I need for it to make sense. This was a life saver! You are a wonderful teacher! To the students who are talking right through class, you are being rude and you will regret it someday. I don't think they realize how great of a math teacher this guy is ❤️
This guy singlehandedly teaches me algebra2. My actual teacher does not help and takes infinitely longer to teach a third of what he does in ten minutes.
I’m here because my math class is religiously online with no instructor just a book 📖😭 4week class… down two weeks :) thanksss! This my go to channel for this class :) **update** I passed my class! Thank you once again!
I go to such a good high school I forgot about kids like this class. Honestly, we are so quiet and attentive at my school, you could hear a pin drop in class. I really appreciate this learning environment and feel bad for people that had to spend their entire school time in environments like this and ones worse than this.
My book tells me to just plot random points on the graph and draw a curve through them. Your way is much more logical and easy. Thank you so much for your help!
I had missed a class and couldn't learn all this. I thought I wouldn't be able to do my homework and would fail that unit. Then I saw this guy. I don't know how, but he is always at the perfect pace for me and explains so simply but perfectly. I love this channel!
This is certainly different from where I’m from. Where I’m from, we learn how to factor “ax^2 + bx + x, where a = 1”, then “ax^2 + bx + c”, followed by learning how to complete the square, thus forming the vertex form of the quadratic, then learning how to derive and use the quadratic formula. Then and only then do we learn to graph, which makes it easier, since we know how to factor (finding x-intercepts), we know how to complete the square (finding the vertex), and all we need to learn is that the “c” constant is the y-intercept.
great teacher! ive been out of school for 6 years and i have to stdy for and electrical test. Youre great at breaking things down and explaining them in a simple way.
I'm going back to college this year, the last time i'm doing algebra was 17 years ago and i'm really bad at it. If this is how it was taught to me years ago i won't have irrational hate for years. Anyway thank you for the lesson, just finish my math task.
thank you so much, im going to my math class in 2 mins and this saved me big time (the teaching style of my teacher isnt the easiest for me to comprehend)
People say they learn more from a video than a teacher. It’s good, and some reasons are that you can replay the video and you can repeat as much as you want. Secondly, he’s just a good teacher lol
If those people not listening were to actually try they would have achieved so much, it’s so easy if you try. I just turned 14 and I’m learning this in case of a exam.
Geometry was the bane of my existence when going to school. (And calculus 😢) I would have used the table. This is a great video, and explains well. But I have never been able to see things graphically as well as I can algebraically.
Thanks a lot! My teacher just told us to do this lesson and my teacher didn’t even gave us the notes nor taught us this which is really annoying that I have to teach myself again
When he said find two more points and said "let's go to the right," and filled in -3 & -2 on the x coordinate chart, was he talking about going the right of the axis of symmetry, not the right of the entire graph starting at (0,0)?
@@EverythingHP I wound up getting around a 70 on it, thankfully tho due to the unfair advantage online people had and COVID in general the final wasn't actually counted and could only help your grade
omg these students are so loud and disrespectful. im watching videos because my classroom is the same, and the video is still distracting. teachers deserve so much more pay AND respect than they get! they teach our future!
The kids in this class not listening don’t understand how great of a teacher he is.
really though
fr
It's sad that they won't listen
that's what I'm sayin, learned a whole unit with this guy in 1 day
yea this guy is a great teacher :) but literally my school teacher gave this to me when I was in Grade 8......
The way he explains, idk just makes it easier to understand
Because he gets to the point!

I've learned more from him than my actual teacher

I rescind my previous statement they got better
I literally cry every time I learn a new math concept but you actually made this easy to understand!!! You have my many thanks
So happy to help you
This is where we all go when we slack of in class
me rn
Or when the teacher can’t teach
This way we get to learn from a cool math teacher, and slack off in class
I’m in class rn watching him rather that my teacher
The plan is to slack until the night before the test
those girls in the back of the class make me mad, he literally thought me more than all of my teachers in this 12 minute video

real brother
I don’t have a teacher right now, I’m doing stuff online with no guidance or help, this dude has been my only teacher for the past year.
Wow ! I have learned how to do this because of this video . Can’t grasp it when my teacher is teaching it. Thanks you so much!
You are very welcome!!
I can now help my son with this homework :)

Self studying to skip algebra one and this channel (as well as Khan Academy) has helped sooooo much. Thank you!!

He’s got to be the most patient teacher I’ve ever encountered. When I went to school kids didn’t dare blabber when the teacher was talking.

It would be the saddest thing if anyone fails this class with a great teacher like him, I wish I had this teacher, I just wish.

A teacher who doesn’t just expect students to know the subject matter after a day of introducing the material? I wish my teachers were like this
We sell process information at different paces
yet another semester you have taught me everything I know and my teacher has taught me nothing
This reminds me of why I didn't enjoy math until I learned calculus. Instead of memorizing formulas, you can then derive them almost instantly.
