      Yes you would just have to change hook size and you will end up with the smaller bee

    hi, when you change rows, do you just continue the stitch or do you add like a chain? like when you said to do 3 rows of single crochet in yellow, do i need to add a chain after each row?

      Hi the first 3 rows of single crochet in yellow and the last 3 rows of single crochet I don't slip stitch and chain 1.
      I only slip stitch and chain 1 in the middle of the bee when I am changing colors. I hope this helped 😊

    This is very helpful! Just wonder how do your bee the same size when changing colors? When I changed back to yellow after black if was smaller than the front do my bee ended up slanted!

      Is your black yarn the same type as your yellow? Sometimes different brands can have different thicknesses even if it’s meant to all be the same. Hope that helps. Good luck ☺️

    Hi there! so i just started making my bee and i noticed that as yours stays flat mine is starting to curl into a shallow bowl shape. I am using a chunkier yarn, but is this normal??

      Hi
      You may need to use a bigger hook but this pattern will start looking like a bowl once you have finished your increase rows and start to single crochet around 😊

    Does the hook size affect the curve of the bee. I used a 4.5mm and it ended up going straight and not curved

      It depends on what yarn you are using and how thick it is and if your making the big bee or the small bee

      Hi I used 8mm eyes for both bees but you could use 10mm eyes if you wanted 😊

      The smaller bee is the exact same pattern that is in the video but you just use a 3mm hook and one strand of yarn

      I had this problem too! The issue for me was that instead of alternating the increase and single, I did all increase and had just the first one/two/three as single.
      if that doesn't make sense let me know im not the best at explaining :)

    The tutorial was great, until the last part with the wings, as a beginner i don't know what's meant by "just stitch them on" and I find this alot with additive features such as wings, mist tutorials just bypass how to actually stitch the new part onto the original body and it would be useful to see

      Do you mean there is a hole in the middle at the start of the bee or at the end?
      If it's at the start of the bee make sure that after you make your first 6 single crochets that you pull the yarn tail tight and after the next row pull the yarn tail tight again, if it's still coming loose you may need to make a knot in the yarn tail to stop it from becoming loose. I hope this helped

    Does it matter what size yarn it is I have 4mm yarn and I don’t think a 3mm hook would work what mm is that yarn ?

      Hi this is the yarn I used: 100% cotton, 50 g (1.76 oz) / 115m (125 yd).
      You can use any yarn and the appropriate size hook, maybe go down half a hook size so your stitches aren't to big.
