Thank you for sharing your experiences so candidly, Mike. I've had two pretty severe psychotic breaks, and I liken it to being in a waking dream. I experience the typical delusions (mostly religious and paranoid ones,) hallucinations, and gaps in my memory. It is a bit like being high on cocaine, I feel very energized and even euphoric at first until the abject terror kicks in.

I appreciate you sharing your story. I had my first psychotic break at 24. I thought I was a prophet of god. Most of my psychosis is religious in some way? Maybe because I grew up in a religious family idk. I had hallucinations of demons and that I had to fight them off. When you’re in a psychotic break you’re not aware of your surroundings like you normally are. My family told me it was spiritual warfare at first but even THEY thought I was nuts after the psychosis kept happening. I ended up in the hospital after I was driving and hearing voices telling me to drive off of the road.

    Very interesting.
I know when I am becoming psychotic and most of the time in it however it will cross a line where I know logically a psychiatrist would call me psychotic but I believe I'm not really and they are using these terms to control me. Then I end up in hospital.
I only found you just now and will have to look at other videos.
Without that knowledge as yet I'd like to know more about your psychotic delusions and how you think and belief now.
Kind thoughts from a new subscriber from Australia.

Oh yes, and I also had a psychotic Episode in my life. It was drug indicated and every word I heared in this episode (music, radio, TV, friends talking) I was thinking that it was all about me. So it was very heavy to handle that. I quited drugs, I quited the friends-circle at present and for many weeks I made a complete reset. In this times I was at home for many weeks to heal myself, without anybody. Just repair, find new targets in life and after al that (it took something about a few months) the psychotic-Episode has nearly ended. Your description about how it feels is very good I agree...

i had two psychotic episodes - one in my late teens in the early 90s - thinking i was the second coming of jesus, getting messages thru tv and music, and thinking singers were writing their songs about me and could see me through mirrors. It felt amazing and magical but also very isolating socially and took about 2 years to come back to reality, get a job and function normally. Then it kicked in again during covid lockdowns but the second time was horrible because i know its not real this time and i was fighting it and went a bit schizo and afraid of my own mind and as a result ive lost my self confidence and i believe some really strange things like everyone can read my mind and radio DJs talk to me thru the radio etc and its just suffering and torture this time round. Hope I can recover soon.

Thank you for sharing this! What did the psychology sessions do exactly to help you come out of psychosis? What was the process of realisation like? What were the conversations that snapped you out of psychosis? Was it a gradual thing or was there a distinct instant that opened your eyes? And what sort of medication did they give you?

Can you remember it all? Did you rekindle with people you burnt bridges during the psychosis period? How long did it take from psychosis to fully recovered? My son started from depression August 2022 and got better when antidepressant but as soon as he stopped it in early January 2023- he started going manic lead him to psychosis in April 2023 then got admitted and discharged June 2023. Since then he’s no motivation and isolated himself in his room. Can you see the timeline ?? It’s been too long! When is he gonna get better???- desperate mum here.😟😢

    Thanks for these videos Mike.
I’d really like to know if you have some ideas about why this experience has happened for you; and even what the specific ideas might mean in your life? I appreciate your reflections very much. Bridget

If you've seen the movie "Surge" you can get a pretty good idea of what psychosis can look like from the outside
Internally it all makes perfect sense and anybody who questions you is simply an obstacle or enemy or stupid or whatever

Greetings to you Mike! Many good Videos here! Im a translation channel from germany and want to ask you if it is ok, if I translate some Videos of your channel into german and load them up in my channel without monetarisation and let it stand for itself, just in a good german translation-style, to bring the information more forward to the people who dont understand english and these are many people, trust me. Im also doin videos by myself to some themes about consciousness, personal skills, understand manipulation to help out of that and many more,.......So = Yes or No? Thank you for your content and Information!
Wish ya a good time so far... - Nikolas

Hi Nikolas @voiceofmind7, thanks for your interest in translating my videos to German! I’m happy to discuss this, but I have a few conditions:
      1. Please credit my original work in the video description, linking back to my channel and the original video with a watermark/text on screen showing my RUclips username.
      2. Let me know which videos you’d like to use, and I’d appreciate a preview before they go live.
      3. Any monetisation should be discussed beforehand to ensure fair terms.
If you agree, we can move forward. Let me know!

@@itsmikemcdonnell Hey Mike! Yes thats good!
Make credits, linking back, let you know wich videos i would translate and monetisation (i dont want to make monetisation on my channel, but if thats the case, we talk about everything, yes!) and send you my final-produced and translated video to check out.
So, in the next step, i check out wich video I want to choose. Im doing much other things on my channel, so the first target is to translate one of them and see how things going.
Best wishes! - Nikolas, from VOICE OF MIND

Did you get rid of some relationships during that time thay you thought were disturbing the peace you managed to achieve ? Like Block some people or something ? I think your expérience is closer to hypomania than psychosis
