I used to defend him in the vain hope he'd go back to regular wrestling, then in the belief that he could have been a good wrestler with more guidance as he got older. But he couldn't just be a dumb gimmick wrestler, he had to make an ass out of himself away from the ring too.
Him and Karl Anderson were a tag team good enough for WWE to ripoff. Half of a program good enough for WWE to ripoff. I had no delusions he'd ever lead a group as popular as Bullet Club, to ever reach Anderson's height, but I wanted Ryan to do better. But if the sexual accusations are true, and I have reason to believe at least one is, the amount of smoke around him, the amount of people I didn't realize never liked him, people who knew him personally for decades, I'm now of the belief Joey Ryan probably got as much as he deserved. Maybe he was too successful considering that foot he liked to put in his mouth.

I do actually believe Ryan was making $20,000 a month pre-pandemic through all of his mediums as this is just $240,000 a year before expenses and he turned down a job with AEW (lucky for them) noting he can make more on the indy scene. When you take expenses of being on the road off and taxes, that it would likely equate to $100,000 net, and this includes appearances, his indy show he ran, Impact bookings and indy bookings - this is small compared to what Cody, and The Bucks were noted to make on their own. The fact that he listed each amount (just $1000 for merchandise, and his patreon account) and how so many people bought into his crazy gimmick - leads me to believe the numbers are true as they are actually small individually, BUT again pre-pandemic. Either way, him suing for $10 million due to revenue lost is ridiculous. He would have to make $250,000 every year for 40 years to earn that. Lunacy.

Part of his request may not have been lost earnings. Part may have been punitive damages aka punishment damages essentially. In suits like these when there is a large award of damages it isn’t uncommon for a large piece of it to be punitive damages which is essentially a punishment laid out to discourage the party from doing the actions again in the future. But most every aspect of the suits he filed was stupid - I’m not sure how he thought any of it was a good idea and ironically if he would’ve ever had a chance to return to wrestling the way he handled all of this destroyed that ever being possible. Never took accountability for any of it and went after people with meritless lawsuits that all ended up being dismissed in the end. Dude really put on the clown shoes in handling every aspect of this thing.

I whole-heartedly agree with you. It would be a win-win-win ( for us, the fans, too) situation. My only concern would be if they need to work some kind of permit or royalty-agreement with the third-parties plastered in these drawings.

While I don't personally care for him (Joey Ryan the person, or the wrestler) I think the case is pretty interesting. I'm sure someone's been taken to court over anonymous Twitter accusations, but I can't think of one off the top of my head. There haven't been any consequences for doing so yet.
Yes I find this to be an exciting court case. Bryan Callen is doing the same thing to one accusers husband (as he went after Callen's talent agency)
It's a really tricky area - with how hard it is to prosecute sexual offences (since there is never evidence of consent), you really don't want a further obstacle to people seeking justice, but at the same time, with human nature being what it is, what can you do with the possibility of malicious accusations? I'm strongly inclined to believe the Ryan allegations (especially because of the way that the anonymous people are being supported by so many folks within the wrestling bubble), but there have been cases in the UK of people accusing celebrities that have been shown to be false. There is no simple solution
