Come back for new videos most Wednesdays.
All you need to have to survive the apocalypse is hot glue and mason jars.
Now that I think about it a hot glue gun would be kinda useful for crafting like weapons. Like sticking a knife/sword to a gun.
Don’t forget your empty coke cans / bottles
Don’t forget the fork!
My Dad told me that everything can be fixed with duct tape and zip ties.
And blue eyes
The rise of these mindless and nonsensical videos accessible to children, makes me think some brainwashy, end-of-times era is coming.
Im eleven years old and lucky that I know the difference between a content farm and an actual good piece of entertainment. My mom would kick my ass if she found me popping neutella filled balloons

A "hose-rug" isn't that dumb. If you have a broken hose lying around at least. What else are you gonna do with a broken hose anyway.
use flex tape
@@andivq or make it to a rug
I used an old hose to run (low voltage!) wires across a path in my yard, so they're a little safer from getting cut by gardening tools.
My niece really likes Troom Troom. I watched some of the videos with her and thought, "Some of these pranks are really inconsiderate. It's not good to think that any of these is a fun way to mess with them." I've told her during some of them that someone could get hurt or humiliated if that happened to them. She still thought they were hilarious, and I'm kind of worried.
Try explaining to her that those people are paid to do stupid things and smile unnaturally while doing them, they don't actualy enjoy it.
FlymanMS, thank you. I'll have to try that. My go-to reasoning is, "How would you feel if someone did that to you?" It doesn't always work.
@@jadethegingergoblin718 The bits of the brain associated with empathy don't develop fully until sometime in your twenties, so I'd imagine that's often going to be a hard sell.

I can't believe this video is over one year old and only 17k people have seen it.
This topic interests me and confuses the hell out of me. You helped me understand it a little bit, like with all the other weird popular things on youtube the answer is simple - kids are watching these. But I'm still confused - are children really interested in instructions on things related to household and cleaning and cooking? Those sound more like chores than entertainment. I still think there's got to be way more adults watching these.
Just wanted to thank you for this analysis. In the last few days I've been wondering why RUclips seems to be becoming full of these irresistably absurd videos. It's almost like Salvador Dalí and Monty Python had a child with a unicorn.
Jesus Christ just have verified uploaders, how hard is that to do.
Careful, that might be getting too close to creators becoming contracted employees. RUclips will always prioritize keeping their hands clean; the only way a company can have profits taken away again is if they are found legally liable for something. Once RUclips admits it's responsible for this, they are forever responsible for it.
@@Howtard he meant for youtube kids.
I cannot stand Troon Troon and 5 minute crafts with a burning passion!
I'd love to see a follow up where the mention of the innapropriate nature of the DIY vids is mentioned earlier in the video and in the title so that this information is shared much more. This really needs to be common knowledge so RUclips will do something.
Surprised your comment hasn't gotten more likes...

Some of the stuff in these videos are actually super dangerous as well, like there was a clip or something where hot glue was used as toothpaste, or like activated charcoal icecream or something
The background music is awful.
5 minute crafts has more views than people on this earth. Let that sink in.
Are views depend on profile or watch hours?
Stuff like Snake Discovery is being blocked by RUclips kids but not 5 Minute Crafts? Really?
I suggest you check out Snake Discovery.
BE AMAZED has become NSFW.
First of all: didn't knew of your diy side 😱 as we say here in Italy "now we see the little altars" 😂😂 anyway your rug might works well 👍
Jokes apart (and thanks for passing-by sometimes) have you seen the video by William Osman a couple of weeks ago? Following this diy-mania he debunked a hot-glue-gun made with some turns of nichrome steel and supposed to be connected DIRECTLY into home-power (indeed William showed how dangerous it is with 110VAC, except that was showed as working in a EU/Ukrainian flavour, so with a 220/230VAC home supply...)
Other than that, I think I will share this video in our Italian group of youtube creators talking about the platform, because it has some interesting points 👍
I haven't, I will check it out :) Thanks for sharing.
Jarring.
Your crafts are fantastic.
The rise of content farms can be traced to glitterforever17. Shes just a quirky, artistic southern girl who found success with her DIY videos shortly before these content farms popped up. Everything from the sets, to the editing, somewhat strange/questionable tutorials that you couldnt look away from, the editing all the way down to brelands mannerisms were copied by these content farms and other creators. Breland found success because, for a brief point in time, nobody else was doing what she was doing. Her style quickly established a new category of tutorial videos that was quickly imitated by hundreds, maybe thousands, of other channels. These channels all established themselves and were able to evolve at a point where glitterforever17 got lost in the sea of fresh faces. You can compare the dates on her videos to these content farms video dates. There are alot of things breland was doing first and the dates will validate that. These content farms are a compete rip off of brelands artistry and to be honest, apart from still following brelands model, they havent really evolved much as channels. They are still following brelands model while shes trying to pickup the pieces
Its official everything get corrupted
The intro is basically troom troom
Yes! Another Not Exactly Normal video! Dylan has a twin!?! Very cool, this is a world I never knew of but that is absolutely insane numbers! Wow! Thanks Dylan, you’re one of the best out there.
Thanks for the kind words.
Dylan posted, so I came running!
I don't think this kind of thing is new. When I was a kid there was this book called "The Anarchist's cookbook". I read it at an age that I was probably very susceptible to following ideas. For a bit of context here, growing up my parents always worked around movies and never censored me from anything. Quite the opposite, I grew up with open instant access to all kinds of media and was never "watched over". I've never built a bomb or anything, I've done things that people do, but didn't grow up to be horrible. I'm not where I want to be, but at least I'm not vindictive nor ever felt compelled towards anything of that nature. But I did grow up on horror movies. Those were my Mom's favorites. The one thing she did drill into me that still echoes to this day was that "What's on the screen is not reality". And that I think allowed me to think critically at a younger age than if I were censored. That being said, if that were not the case I may have read that book and used some components for whatever reason. I can only speak about myself on this one.
Crap, youtube's just introduced a "chat feature".
The Anarchist’s Cookbook is a actual book about creating deadly devices, it’s not the same as troom troom. One is supposed to be used for self defense one is a content farm.
The chat feature didn't last long.
@@EllieCollie yeah. I've no idea why I was talking about that. Things were going terribly at the time, I was probably either under the influence of something or super hungry and stressed. Probably stressed. I wasn't just homeless but so was my elderly mom and I called in every favor to keep her from sleeping out in the cold. Many of my friends still party hard. We didn't eat every day but I ended up drunk or something daily. Finally got her in an assisted home until well... She's terminal with cancer now. She's in hospice. It's still tough but I managed to get back on my feet. Nowhere near where I grew up but that's good. There's no work where we were living. Sorry. I'm having a hard seltzer. My boss is an alcoholic and she was trashed when I came in to work. She even forgot her just opened beer. For some reason, it got me in the mood so picked up some on the way home. Now I'm drinking and writing you a way too long comment. Lol. I hope your well. Thanks for the reply, I love getting replies to comments from years ago. So far my longest reply was 8 years on a music video only a few hundred of us like apparently. Ohhh.. I should check in on that.
Well, the problem with RUclips is that it is kind of blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. They cannot understand what type of content can be applicable to reality and what types of content are not. Although of course common sense can still put a "break" on trying something that seems dangerous, but it depends on the child and how the family educated them about the dangers of specific tools and/or situations. Also the difference is that there is time based programming in TV, which usually puts family friendly show in the morning till night and after the typical bedtime(usually 9 in the night) will put more mature shows, and what constitutes "family friendly" is mandated by government and/or non government agencies as a law, while RUclips algorithm is really "survival of the fittest", and here the "fittest" is clickbait, deception, and garbage content that can put children that do not understand the risks of replicating the "DIY" in serious danger
Holy shit this content is top
I didn’t expect 5 minute crafts was a Russian psy-op lol
The music had me do a double take, was expecting "Hi my name is Jordphan, the ph is silent" :D
A least household hackers tips... usually work
Ah, so these are rhe Russian trolls Hillary was warning us about.
They're from Cyprus
Yikes! I had no idea it was winding up on the Kids app!
I'm noticing the same trend with cooking channels; they appear to be coming from Germany.
great video
thanks :)

Where are your DIY videos?
CottageLife.com/Videos
yet your videos are not encouraged to be seen, i had to look for this issue manually
How is household hecker a content form.... He don't post fast enough for my liking... His mostly honest give out good hacks (not terrible ones like 5 minute crafts and troom troom) he just a honest hack channel... Wasn't all this Twilight Zone content in social mefia sparked by the channels of the like of Crazy Russian Hacks and Epic Meal Time?
How dare you. EMT is art.

I was busy soldering stuff at age 8. Worst I ever did was get a slight burn. Junior hacksaws aren't much to worry about either.
However, you are right, some of those items, like condoms and hypodermic needles may not be appropriate for kids. Or, at least, they may raise questions that ultra-conservative parents might not want to answer at certain ages, LOL.
Troom troom... the original innovator of the 3d pen (aka hot glue gun)
why oh why can i buy mason jars in europe........... SO ANNOYING
The RUclips kids app is pure garbage. Honestly, it seems like RUclips kids is better at presenting worse content than just the normal YouTune app is!!!
So that's not an X-Acto knife. That's a box cutter. An X-Acto knife is a brand of craft scalpel (looks like a medical scalpel).
It's not "nu-tella" it's "nut-ella" because it's made from hazelNUT. People like to claim it's "nu-tella" because it's new. It hasn't been new since 1963.
It is nu-tella. The brand's website says so: “Nutella® (pronounced ‘new-tell-uh’) is a tasty, unique spread made from the combination of roasted hazelnuts, skim milk and a hint of cocoa. Nutella® has no artificial colors or preservatives.”
excuse me is this troomtroom
Like any kids are using RUclips kids anyway.
views on your vids are kinda random
They are indeed.
why was I subscribed to this
Not sure. Did you figure it out?
Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. It's not about following the law - perfectly, as it's impossible - it's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER xx
If you have any questions let me know
I do the phone underpants thing
TFW you watched your first RUclips video at the age of 18. And it was 10 years ago. Not saying RUclips was better back then but at least it was free of baity trash like these videos. At what age kids start to watch RUclips freely nowadays anyway, 1 year? What happened to parenting - the actual parenting like looking through what your kid is watching and talking to them, explaining things, not just entering password and going about your day.
2:30 Am I the only person who did this before?
Yes
You disgust me
Man, why did I click this???

This seems pretty good to me actually.
They give kids a feeling for how tools and materials work and that things can be made into other things without being specifically bought in a store.
This also teaches kids that it's okay to just to mess around and do interesting stuff without having to be super successful every time.
Disturbing, but.......when some of these "hacks" get used in regular "life hacks" videos, the viewers get what they deserve. Most "life hacks" videos are way worse than these DIY why's anyway which instruct you to recycle garbage into useless gifts, cheerfully give eachother food poisoning and spray plastic-dissolving essential oils on surfaces you want to clean.
Ripping off big slaz I see u.
Not epic
This content is really manipulative and has devious undertones. I feel as though they are trying to brainwash children.
