Recently i tried one plus 11 and Samsung S23 series of phones at stores and i was shocked when i find that my nothing phone 1 has smoother animations than those 2 flagships.
Same here as an oneplus 11 user when i experience it at store, wan nothing phone so bad esp i felt so dissapointed for the animation lags and useless features added oxygenos on 14, but the only drawback is still the 1/10 camera optimization, can't nothing just steal the encrypts from gcam?

And the Nothing OS/ecosystem is simply imo the best one out there and it just keeps getting better. I also have a S24 Ultra as a daily driver and let me tell you other than the cameras it's always up there with the Samsung.

Nothing phone has worked on visuals and animations as optimized as possible and battery friendly, I appreciate that they support the moding community and implement our custom rom features on to thier nothing os

Excited about the upcoming Nothing phone 2A. Will finally get to use some of these features on a budget phone that I'll be able to afford. It is rumoured to have a 120Hz OLED and the Dimensity 7200 chip.
I loved my phone (2), but ultimately decided to move to another device, because while the camera is very good, it's not in that top tier. Also wanted something slightly smaller. It would be great if Nothing made a smaller version.
I love that Nothing thought outside the box with the design of the back. Btw saying "I have a nothing phone" sounds like you are saying you have a very basic phone.
That's the thing with modern Samsung yeah it's not as cool or exciting as other brands like Nothing but they just do pretty much everything you want like all these power user features
@@sireric41 you can't clone all apps but you can clone messenger apps by default without Goodlock. There is also Secure Folder where you can add a separate copy (essentially a clonel of any app that is password protected by Knox.
I am jealous of these features even though I have S23 with highly customizable OneUI. If Nothing keeps adding such features, I might switch to Nothing Phone in future.
Thank you for the video. I just got my Nothing Phone 2 and I honestly love it. The phone's battery is awesome, nearly stock android. Coming from both the Pixel and Samsung Fold, I will say this phone is great for what it's for. Minimalist and fun.

To enable music visualisation on the nothing phone 1: 1. Make a contact with a random number and name it 'Abra' 2. Go to settings>glyph interface 3. Tap ringtone, add contact and select abra as the ringtone
Nothing Phone are really good but people hate for no reasons. Instead of focusing in what matters, they act like child, talking about Glyph like with non sense comments. Those smartphones are smooth, with great UI, high performance, no bloatwares and they are updated regularly.

The core system is just the same as core system of any other smartphone. The company is based in UK with products being developed there, however the global manufacturing is under BYD (a Chiese automotive comapny), which manufcatures these phones out of two factories one in Beijing and one in India.

I’m pretty sure every android phone have floating windows? My older P20 Pro had that already. The screenshotting function is alright, I still prefer my older P20 Pro's for this one again (alongside the secret screenshot), altough the double back knock on the S23U is quite useful too And yes, One UI has the trash icon too, so it's not exclusive to Nothing OS My P20 Pro had an app locker, I haven't tried on any other phone cause it's kinda useless tbh

1st feature is more of a gimmick. If one wants to see the lights on the back of the phone, phone has to be face down which blocks front earpiece speaker. Reduces the song volume, which is a little bad music listening experience
if they would just give up on "custom apps" like chats and gallery (which is absolute wrong approach considering their "pure clean android experience" idea from the start) and focus on refining the OS, widgets and functionalities... with this attention to details and a will to experiment - nice things could happen still. im still hoping for a real "nothing" experience option in quick settings to come that turns the phone in a complete monochromatic simplified text-instead-of-icons Bloccs approach device

Huawei had an app lock feature since 2016. I owned a Huawei P9 Lite back in 2016, and it had that feature. It was really useful for me, and I didn't want to download a third-party app for it.

LG UX has something similar to lock screen widgets. You can control music, quick settings with one's swipe from right to left
A few of these are also on OxygenOS and work in exactly the same way, like floating windows or the screenshot gesture...

One-handed operation has the geature swipe to show notifications and the scroll to the top, amongst other things.
99% of those features+ more on all Oneplus devices 😅 I think it can ONLY make the iOS ones jealous😅 great video nonetheless!

Nothing brings back OxygenOS soul and Philosophy. While OxygenOS itself has lost its soul.
OxygenOS is still good tho, it has the sidebar which is the best feature ever, also available on oneUI

2, 3, and 4 are all on ColorOS
A thing I really like about my phone is that I can instantly unlock it by just putting my finger in the power button and I rarely see my lockscreen.
