How about some MOAR South Carolina relics and coins??? This was a great day with good friends. I hope you enjoy watching this video half as much as I did making it. You can find The History Seekers here on RUclips: www.youtube.com/@HistorySeekers
Every time you post I watch my grandpa chig find cool stuff that's kinda rusty old or warn down and forgotten be found and I light up enjoy every part even the cranky neighbours
Beau we use have Armourdilla races when we're kids didn't know they can carry leapers viruses they great ant and termite eaters lol!!!; ) that one you all found was Unarmourdilla !!!: o
I have learned that some of the plantations used the oyster shells as a front lining for their flower beds . Slugs you know . Lol. They cut the lil critters when they tried to crawl over them. As always a great video. Thank you so much.
Heck of a day in the fields Chigg. Some buttons, some coins, some precious metals, and a buckle..that's about covers everything i look for in a dig. Good stuff.
@7:39 - Reminds me of an old joke/riddle, that my daddy used to tell...Q: "Pete & Repeat hopped into a boat. Pete jumped out. Who was left?" A: "Repeat." ..... "Pete & Repeat hopped into a boat..." LOL 😆 Good times, good times. 👍
Good evening chigg just finished watching another interesting video full of history , beautiful finds , unusual finds , silver spoon has kept well in the ground , plenty jet streams in the sky ,nice old Willy's jeep , take care
That's defo a lead ingot. I was reading some articles about old bullet making in the field a few years ago and one of the pictures was a cache of lead ingots. They were just about the size of the one you had and the legend/explanation said that they were cast inside a piece of wood that was carved with a spoon gouge. Once the surface carbonizes, it because a resilient form that can be reused quite a lot.
I live in SC and haven't found nothing that old. Lol. I found 2 pistol balls and tons of modern change. Best finds were 6 wheaties. Lol. No silver......except 1 ring. I need to find some farms. I did detect a meteorite though. Pretty neat.
Hey Chig! I found many 12g. (green) shotgun shell bottoms while surface hunting native artifacts. One I picked up turned out to be a 1866 two cent! Your 2 coins found are incredible! rjk.
I think th flat brass objects you have with the punched (chased) circles and curves are parts of the back plate of a handle from an 18th century piece of furniture, might have has a "swan neck" handle fixed to it. (From ex antique restorer in UK).
I am curious about the screw? I found something similar here in Bozeman Montana. I did some electrais on the peice and it was a type of specialty hand made and threaded through the center of the small round to a sqare then a taperd head like a wood screw slotted on top. My guess a gun stock female handle assembly. Awesome finds there. I tapped into some awesome local history here in Bozeman. Indian wars.
I've dug a lot of cut up chunks of solid silver utensils on homesites over the years and wondered if it was done intentionally to spend as money? I understand plows and mowers shred things but many of my finds are in deep hilly woods that never saw modern farming machinery to cause that kind of cutting damage.
ewww vultures ! ewww vomit !!! ewwww vulture vomit !!! omg here in my predatory town ( ::() vultures seem to be the totem ! vulture vomit all over town all summer ! Moving soon !

Nice!
I like the floor holes in the truck, they would make a good early warning system for when he is trying to cross a stream that is too deep.
Welcome to SC. Been watching a long time.

See you on the next one Chigg
Does that coin say 1730? Holy.... that's awesome!

Not far from you in Summerville. Love to see local digs
Good morning all y'all
Good morning!
So cool! Love it! Although, I kind of cringe at the song in the end! So corny! 😆
Brother chigg can you make a video of you're top ten finds? I remember all them Spanish sliver coins you found in that creek
It’s “birb”, Mr. Boo!
I'm pretty sure they had round nails last century too. 😁
I sure miss my flat fender Willys
That KGII detail 😳
The Cats in the Cradle …
Watch out, ARMADILLO !
found a thick reed like that on a hunt, my viewers said it was probably from a squeeze box as it was too thick for harmonica.
That could be.... thanks.
Got Some Cash😉👍✌.
The ring could be a ear cuff
😀
brass piece might be a picture frame
Cap'n Willie, I don't know will he?
what was a king edwards worth back then ? would it buy a pint of ale at the local tavern ?
Just found an alternative superlative to Awesome Possum - Brillo Armadillo :) (Brillo short for brilliant ) it probably won’t catch on…
I like it!
Curious if much of the stuff found was for making bale seals

It's had to say with certainty, but silver was always worth saving.
It 3:43 may be Ricky!
Was that a 48 or 49 jeep?
It's a 48 with a 51, 3a windshield. Still on the hunt for a 2a windshield.
👊🤩👍
