I love when you go on a search for a historical location like you did with Fort Upper Tract. Those were some of my favorite videos you have ever done. Finding all the melter lead proving that what had been there had burned and thinking about the folks were killed fighting for their lives inside.

This was a fun little adventure. It certainly wasn't the most relicful, but I do believe we put the local rumor to rest... for now.

Another good video despite no good finds. I just got a new permission that has a 1780s log cabin still standing not far from the massacre site of 10 of Captain William Phillip's Rangers in July of 1780. Wish me luck!

The old mystery fort legend. They rarely built forts in non-strategic locations. They'll be on trade routes to control river junctions, or passes to control land trade and always in a defensible place. Unless it was a hastily built defensive effort.

It too bad a lot of old mills didn’t survive. The wobbly kitten and I think eventually a high water storm events wash them away. Take us back this summer and show us what’s downstream. We also think there might be a fort and 1700’s homestead somewhere, but the story got discombobulated across time. Anyway, thanks guys for a nice day on a beautiful landscape.
