I saw this on the road and it legit looks beautiful, the last time I was that in awe of a car was probably the first time I saw a Mclaren so I defo think this tops its rivals. I'm not even sure what made it look so great but it just works, and the size of the car gives a real presence on the road because this was huge.
It is a funny way to find out if a person is Slavic in voice chats :) Here in Belarus, also Russia and Ukraine, as far as I know, you'd actually receive an "are-you-ok" look if you pronounce it [ˈskoda] and not [ˈʃkoda]. Literally everyone calls it "Шкода". What is extra funny, both in Belarusian and Ukrainian (and also some western dialects of Russian) "Škoda" means "damage" or "harm".
The start button is ugly only for you because the European version has the steering wheel on the other side and the button is inside the interior so it is not visible to the driver when getting in.

@@Schluker I have the car for 2 years (the A8) coming from a VW Passat B6. I am really impressed with the Skoda. There are constant upgrades to the car both software and physical elements for free. So they are constantly improving them.
Its not, the difference in price had to paid somewhere and If you compare the car to actual executive A6 you will se where the savings have been made, breaks, suspension setup and so on, Skoda made a big car with a cheap production methods we use with small hatchbacks, Compare the suspension diagram of A6 to Superb and you will see that Superb is missing alot of features and parts that ensure premium ride quality worthy of executive class.
I’m quite happy with the Start button being in the steering column. Feels very natural after decades of using a key. Central buttons would feel very strange to me, but for the kids coming through who never use a key the centre might be most logical spot for them 🤷♂️
And just imagine this same perfect looking Škoda Superb in the Dragonskin color 😃. I believe its the best looking Škoda ever, and also not that expensive compared to VW counterparts, which are just more expensive Superb tbh 😆

I am from India and have been in love with Skoda since 2006 (Skoda Octavia 1st Gen) and then Skoda Octavia 2nd gen called Laura in india) since 2020. Also driving Audi Q5 (since 2011) and Volkswagen Taigun (Since Jan23)... Big❤Skoda
Interesting fact, the older generation of this car is a saloon/hatchback, this is because you can open the rear by just a quarter and you can also open the entire rear end, these come with a rear wiper delete from factory.
The previous generation from this had a 3.6 l V6 and all wheel drive. Quick history lesson if you are interested: before the war, skoda made some of the most luxurious cars in the world, including the superb. Many years later when Skoda was just a typical Eastern block manufacturer. VW purchase them because Skoda knew how to make small all aluminium engines which the West did not know how to do. Under VW's ownership, Skoda was made into a bargain basement brand despite the fact that it is older and has more heritage than every other brand in the VAG group. 🙄

So my dad drives a Skoda superb scout it has a TFSI 4 cylinder that makes 272 hp and it's the IV so it has an adisonal Electric motor that makes 48 hp in total 320 hp and not only that the thing is a space ship from the design to the engine is just Awesome
I had one 2021 and now i bought new one 2023, 4x4 liftback with loads of equipment and its the best car u can buy for 40 and maybe till 60k because its a very good in this class. Much bigger then Eclass and A6 and you can get all same equipment what u can get
Great cars but you are wrong about the push start button location. It's the most sensible location for a push button. It's where you would start any car with a key from. It's natural to reach there to start.
I really like how Škoda is basically a Volkswagen with a couple of cut corners. Instead of designing an entirely new center console to fit a start button, they just place it in an existing spot where the keyhole would be on a Golf for example. Small stuff like that keep the prices down and makes these cars available for more people. Brilliant.
4 years since we have our 2014 superb outdoor. Really can't say anything wrong about the car. MASSIVE cabin and cargo space. Everything in place. Decent awd, audio, sat nav, seats. Probably there is no other car in this price, which offers the same.
I had a 2018 skoda superb 2.0 190 tdi dsg sel executive estate, I found it to be the best around car I have ever purchased, it drives fantastic it is so comfortable and the interior is huge the rear leg room is more than a Mercedes s500 saloon .the diesel is super economical doing over a 1,000 miles to a tank and the 190 bhp 4 cylinder diesel will top out at 146 mph . I had a BMW M3 before getting the skoda completely different cars I know but the skoda was so compliant and a relaxing car to drive it was such a joy to drive .I only sold it as I had ordered a brand new volkswagan transporter camper van .if I ever sell the camper I will be buying another skoda superb estate again. Brilliant cars .
I own a 2005 Octavia SW, 1.9 TDI. Same deal as boot size, not as big of course. Still very solid, 268000 km on the clock. Needs clutch service and a little love to make her pretty. It's my warhorse and my beauty, and I lover her.🤙
No it’s normal that in the light there is humidity, but on the non LED light this humidity is reduced by the heat generated by the bulbs. But LED generates a lot less heat, so the humidity stays here and can condense on the cover if certain conditions are met.
I'm an owner of a VW Arteon which feels like a Skoda Superb too (shares the same platform btw). Plenty of boot space and good legroom at the back also 🙂
It's not really a misplaced start button, you just have the steering wheel on the wrong side. 😂 In Europe the button is on the same side of the steering wheel, but towards the center console because the steering wheel is on the left side. Škoda is a great company, the best value for money hands down.
I’ve worked on it’s brother, the Octavia before. These cars are brutally simple for annual maintenance ie oil change, engine and air intake filters as well as the diesel filter. Would definitely buy one myself!

No. It's not. It is mentioned in the user manual. It is to be expected.
No it’s normal that in the light there is humidity, but on the non LED light this humidity is reduced by the heat generated by the bulbs. But LED generates a lot less heat, so the humidity stays here and can condense on the cover if certain conditions are met.
But it's still skoda...

I'm an owner of a VW Arteon which feels like a Skoda Superb too (shares the same platform btw). Plenty of boot space and good legroom at the back also 🙂

A misplaced start button and cup holder size is something I can deal with! Basically a great car
It's not really a misplaced start button, you just have the steering wheel on the wrong side. 😂 In Europe the button is on the same side of the steering wheel, but towards the center console because the steering wheel is on the left side. Škoda is a great company, the best value for money hands down.

I’ve worked on it’s brother, the Octavia before. These cars are brutally simple for annual maintenance ie oil change, engine and air intake filters as well as the diesel filter. Would definitely buy one myself!
